  1. Mine likes the Brown Bear just fine. About a hundred flawless rounds through it just yesterday oldogy
  2. I've heard nothing about that but should Fox news become unavailable through DTV I am no longer a customer. Linkhttp://www.keepmynets.com/
  3. I know for a fact that carrying grandmas do exist. oldogy
  4. Yep, what little I have still has this wordage. Shows the intelligence of some legislators. oldogy
  5. Gingrich might be the smartest one but does he have common sense? What has he done other than teach and be a politician? Could he function in a real world environment? Like, figuring out what a problem is and take corrective action? I do like Newt and would have no problem voting for him. Now Cain, on the other hand has all real world experience. I would have no problem voting for him. It is interesting. Anyone of the candidates would be better at president than the blue state leader. oldogy
  6. Should make the horny deer start chasing the non horny deer. oldogy
  7. Folks are tired of politics as usual. We need to send Cain a congress that understands we are pissed at government for getting everything so fouled up. We should start by throwing the 70 or so admitted socialists out of congress along with those we have strong suspects of being socialist or worse. oldogy
  8. I would assume the DR has suggested someone accompany you. oldogy
  9. I will second the suggestion to Dixie Crossroads. Try their rock shrimp. It has been quite a few years since I lived in the area but there was usually a long wait just to get seated. oldogy
  10. I do believe I read in the 2011 Tennessee Hunting and Trapping guide that you can train coon dogs any time of the year. Do not take this as final word though. oldogy
  11. Yes, people do eat coons. Tough, dark stringy greasy meat if I remember. It has been many many years. One of those things you do when you're young and are on an extended primitive camping expedition. It seemed like a great idea at the time. oldogy
  12. Consider the stock market a place to buy and sell stock. Anything else is hype and that is where many folks go ballistic. If you haven't done your diligence on a company you have no business owning the stock. oldogy
  13. Make certain you fully understand all zoning and covenants. Homeowner's association? Rules! Can you live with them? And as mentioned above, neighborhood and surroundings. oldogy
  14. I've spent more than a few nights chasing around in the woods listening for the dogs when they trail the old masked ring tail. The first place old mr coon is heading when the dogs get hot onto him is to the top of a high old tree. I have no idea how you could hunt coons without a good strong light 'cause mr coon is not always going to look down.
  15. Welcome to TGO. Fort Jackson, I remember well. Took basic there many many years ago, still had wooden barracks. I remember the firing range being pretty warm in July. Thanks for your service. Stay safe. oldogy
  16. The wife and I were eating breakfast at Der Duchman restaurant in Waynesville, OH. when our waitress told us we were under attack. oldogy
  17. Our resident, and local, security system guy, DrAlarms will be by shortly. oldogy
  18. The Winchester is top eject so mounting optics is a pia. IMO, optics are not needed in a brush gun. Both Marlin and Winchester are great little deer guns. I like my old Winchester 94.
  19. I believe I would go proactive on this one and schedule a meeting with the administration of the school. A teacher has no business knowing what you have in your home. Keep the meeting on a lofty level. If the son actually cursed, apologize up front in the meeting. And good luck. oldogy

J frame: I don't leave home without it,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,unless I am carrying something bigger. Seriously, nice easy to carry piece. oldogy
  21. Maybe she was an old GF:D oldogy
  22. Some of the original article replies are classic ROFL belly busters. Is it twisted logic or no logic? Just another reason to conceal. oldogy
  23. Within the past year we had two incidents where objects were thrown from I-75 overpasses between Chattanooga and Athens. Perps caught committing vandalism at a construction site and linked to the thrown objects incident. oldogy
  24. The wife and I both "carry." If you need it you have it. If you don't have it and need it you're SOL. Kinda like something else many of us carry. Neither of us leave home with out them. We use our land line so infrequently it is hard to justify. BTW, we have a very basic Verizon plan, long time out of contract. oldogy
