  1. That picture probably would not draw enough interest but I know one that would...... oldogy
  2. As others have said, scam. Forget it, do not reply. oldogy
  3. I agree with that approach. If some person "in charge" thinks they can write some obscure rule to circumvent the law it would be time for a letter writing blitz demanding "WHY" Right now I do believe the law is on our side. oldogy

    Revolvers!!

Everyone needs at least a half a dozen . oldogy
  5. I believe good pizza is what you learn to like. I've been eating pizza PIE since it was made popular here in the States right after WW11. About as good as I've found is at Tellico Grains in Tellico Plains. This is a mom and pop operation that specialize in baked goods and on Saturday afternoon untill 16:00 hours they make pizza baked in a wood fired stone oven. Darn good pizza. Go have Stewart build ya one. oldogy
  6. Not going to make this one. oldogy

As stated many times, small guns are generally not fun to shoot but for that once in a lifetime that you use it to save your life. If you want a fun S&W get a 27, 28, 29, or similar, something that you can get a comfortable grip on. Keep in mind that what fits my hand may not fit yours. oldogy
  9. About 55 or so years ago there was an antlerless albino on some property that my dad's family owned in western MD. My dad and I both saw the deer several times, never tried to shoot it as it was a rarity and being antlerless would have been illegal game. Fast forward 40 some years to the mid 1990s when I had a chance to return to our old farm place and the wife and I walked my old hunting grounds. The albino gene must be strong because we kicked out an albino deer, which I thought was amazing. So they are real, they do exist and they are beautiful. oldogy
  10. The original letter writer did submit a letter of apology. oldogy

Who is Michael Jackson? ................Seriously, IMO, he was cute as a member of the Jackson Five and went down from there. The media are trying to make him a hero. What we are seeing is typical of what the government run press and folks want. Most of the population would rather be entertained than give serious thought to what is good for the nation, what made the nation great and how the once great nation is being destroyed. oldogy
  12. Many thanks for those fine pictures. We have a few nursing does show up at our place here in E TN. Have not seen any fawns yet this year although the neighbor, 1/4 mile away said she saw one in the hay field. Two bucks in velvet so far this year. Overall, the deer population is way down from previous years at our place. oldogy
  13. Well, I'll guarantee you I will have ear muffs and glasses along with an assortment of other things:) in the range bag just about every where I go. oldogy
  14. My son in OH dug the ditch with a trencher himself and installed the cable to his house, about 1000' off the road. It probably depends on the local cable company whether they allow you to install your own. So far as dish, I am on Wild Blue and have mixed feelings about it. When it works it is ok, far better than dial up. When working right I get download about 1000 kbs. It is subject to failure when a storm is to the SW. Nothing beats good DSL unless of course T1 or.......... oldogy
  15. The grounds on a florescent circuit seems to be critical for the long term correct operation and life. I agree, replace the switch first. oldogy
  16. The OP did not explain very well, kinda left us to believe he was in TX. Things may be a little different there. oldogy
  17. T.E.A. PARTY SET FOR REGIONAL PARK A "Stand Up For America" Citizen T.E.A. Party will be held this Saturday, July 4, at 10 a.m. at the Pavilion in the Athens Regional Park. Organizer Annette Burger says the purpose is to encourage people who are concerned about the mounting national debt, the health care bill, and the cap and trade bill to stand up for America in a peaceful and responsible way in an effort "to stop the runaway government." Burger says she is hoping for 1000 people to attend. The T.E.A. Party will feature entertainment and speakers ranging from "homemakers to heroes." Kelly Dennis and Ronnie Miller will be singing. Speakers will include John Forgety, attorney Chuck Pope, and Shelby Davis. The public is invited to attend.
  18. My guess is any publication that would use that term would be geared toward the lowest possible reading skill group. Very low camp. oldogy
  19. The slope to :poop:socialism:poop: just got a little steeper and a little slipperier:screwy: Sad times, America. Our freedoms are eroding one by one. Our forefathers are turning in their graves for certain. oldogy
  20. I met Rachael many years ago when I was into Thunderbirds and she showed her car at some of the car shows in central Florida. The Mercury always drew a lot of attention due to the fact it was mostly original. Very pleasant old gal. Don't underestimate the determination or abilities of older folks. Especially when they're packin'.....Even bigger oldogy
  21. X2 With a large event like this where most folks do not know anyone, name tags should be mandatory. They should be large enough to read from a reasonable distance. If you design a template we could print our own. JMHO, oldogy Name tags will keep out the gun grabbing infiltrators.
  22. Let us hope that Senators are smarter than representatives and can see what this legislation will do to America. Now, and up until voting time is the time to pressure your Senators . Let them know what this legislation will do to America. Just what is cap and trade supposed to do, anyway, besides turning America into developing nation stature! This policy is driven by politics, not the independent thinking, speaking, of scientists who can not agree if there is actually a problem. This country was built on energy and runs on energy. Much of the mess we find ourselves in could be resolved with an energy policy that would include drilling and nuclear. Instead, we have a policy of a tire gauge and hot air. Wake up, America. oldogy
  23. Citico has some very nice areas, also. Be aware of the road dust potential at some of those campsites. Some campsites are along paved sections and dust would not be an issue. Have fun where ever you go. oldogy
  24. Yeah, it is going to be pushing a 400 mile round trip for me so the motorhome will be mode of travel. And yes, if overnight parking could be arrange that would be great. oldogy
