  1. Great job by 'mom'. Great job by the LEOs who may have, on a technical point, given mom a hard time or worse, about her actions. Mom may hear more on that later, let us hope not. The most important point is that a BG is no longer prowling the neighborhood looking for fix money. This is way these situations should come down. oldogy

    Trading vehicles

Why not talk to the DMV, talk to the person in charge, not some clerk. Tell them there is no cash changing hands. I do not see where you would pay tax at all. But then I look at things logically. To explain it farther, you are giving him your vehicle and he is giving you his vehicle. If you are trading the vehicle at a dealer you pay tax on the difference, there is no difference so no tax. oldogy

    Keychains

I had an automotive locksmith tell me that I should avoid any extra weight on an automotive ignition lock set. He told me this after he replaced the lock on my Vett. And yes, I had the unneeded cool trash on the key chain. FWIW oldogy
  4. 2005 V10 Ford powered 31' motorhome-------about 9 mpg or less if towing the Jeep 2005 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited about 20 mpg 2007 F150 about 20 mpg All mileage has fallen off with the ethanol additive. Noticeable difference in the motorhome. All vehicles driven very conservatively. oldogy
  5. I think TN has eliminated the photo requirement for we older folks. I can not site the statute, just going from memory. oldogy
  6. I have the Keltec PF9. So far it has been reliable. I did a fluff and buff on it that made it more enjoyable to shoot. The cheap price does not give you the fine finish that only hand fitment can provide. I bought KT because of its size, weight, and ease of concealment. I could not go with your logic that you keep sending it back to Keltec 'till they get it right. If you don't have the gun it is not doing you any good. For the price, KelTec is hard to beat. oldogy

    Bat removal

Shucks, I just built and put up a bathouse that is supposed to provide a home for several hundred of the little mosquito eaters. I have a few around the place and would like to have lots more. I really enjoy being outside in the evening and watch them. oldogy
  9. Yeah, and his phone is steady busy.......wonder why! oldogy
  10. Yep, use the action center, very easy. I really don't think you have to be a GOA member to use it. I really do not think it will do any good but we must voice our outrage in numbers. She is too far left, known anti second amendment, and vocally racist. We just don't need her ilk on the court making legislation. oldogy
  11. Just be careful what you buy. A lot of those old guns were made for low pressure black powder loads and the use of modern ammo is generally not recommended in them . I have an old Iver Johnson 'Owl Head' in 32 caliber that my dad carried many years ago. It is third generation I J and suitable for modern ammo. I see various brands and types out there and cheap. Just make sure what you get can be used. I can not answer your ammo questions with any authority so I won't go there at all. Good luck, have fun with your son. oldogy
  12. You might want to remove and clean the groves in the receiver and the scope rings with a de greaser. I, too, have a Marlin 60 with a cheap Tasco scope installed. I think I used cheap weaver rings. I've put about a thousand rounds through mine and the scope has not moved. oldogy

  17. Sounds like Jack99 got it right. oldogy
  18. On the KOS? Oh my goodness, there must be a thousand panties in group wads over there right now. I have that spot marked but find it a very hard trip over there. oldogy
  19. "How do you spot a HCP holder?" If we do not want to be spoted you won't..........................We're out there among you all daily. oldogy
  20. Point and shoot rapid fire, anywhere in the black is a good shot. Of course, the closer to center the better. oldogy
  21. I have carried while riding. Don't ride any more. oldogy
  22. Great! A copy of his reply will go in the Jeep. oldogy
  23. Looks to me like a bunch of hits, pretty much considered center mass, any of which would put a real hurt on a BG. Ya done good. oldogy
  24. The wife's was right at 60 days a while back. No calls, paperwork correct, unique name and squeeky clean record. oldogy
  25. Agree, except for calling the police. I would make the call as I was exiting the premises. I want to be the first to call, first with the story. oldogy
