  1. I have an old Colt revolver I love to open carry here on the place, if I am over at a neighbor's place or in the woods. Might be a bearwolf or other varmit come after me. Otherwise, no business of most folks I come in contact with that I am carrying. oldogy
  2. Yep, probably the most important. oldogy
  3. Hope this does not come in as a duplicate post. I am not a plumber either but I have played one a time or two. If you have a leak between the tank and the bowl I would certainly look at that big old thick gasket that fits between the two pieces. Do not ask me how I know that it is easy to get the gasket out of position. Also, in working with those plastic parts avoid over tightening as the parts do crack. Be especially careful of the fitting going into the tank level valve, use soft seat connection hose on plastic parts. I just went through this mess last week. BTW, several years back the wife was taking an engineering class where the subject was plumbing. The prof told the class the only thing a plumber had to know was: 1. Crap runs down hill 2. Hot left, cold right 3. Payday is Friday 4. The boss is a SOB good luck, oldogy
  4. A spent 45 cartridge is about the right size to plug the holes. Quite decorative. I've found that some kinds of 'wasp' spray seems to work. Brake cleaner does the job. When I bought this place they had been into a door header molding so bad I had to replace it. oldogy
  5. All good. oldogy
  6. Like others said, GB is an auction site. A while back I decided I wanted a certain model Ruger pistol. Local shop where I would like to buy said they had no idea when I would get one if I ordered it. Found exactly what I was looking for on Gun Brokers NIB with no bids. I bought it, paid FFL and shipping fees, still below what the local shop would have ordered it for. Local shop did get their fee and I got my Ruger. Worked for me. oldogy oldogy
  7. Nice shots. oldogy
  8. There are some great buys in used laptops out there. I just bought a Dell with 1 gig memory, 150 gig HD, with XP Pro on Ebay for less than $250 delivered. I forget what processor speed is but it is not slow. It looks like new, good battery. I am very pleased with it. It does have a serial port. oldogy
  9. Say, that looks good. I am sure you enjoyed bringing that old piece back to life. We old guys are good for something. oldogy
  10. If my deer gun is legal and gets the job done every time I would not get too concern about what someone else thought or comments they might make. Shoot it and enjoy the hunt. oldogy
  11. Barf:koolaid: oldogy
  12. I would suspect any movie made by the left coast gang would not follow the book very closely. oldogy
  13. I replace all the springs on my cars every year just to be safe:tinfoil: oldogy
  14. OMG, How true. oldogy, who just spit coffee all over the keyboard.
  15. We have a queen size memory foam knock off in the house. I like it just ok. Wife loves it. We have a queen sleep number in the motorhome which I preferr. Wife does not care for it. IMO, the king size sleep number would the the way to go. oldogy

    Jobs

Publix is, or at least used to be one fine company to work for. Many years ago I was closely associated with Publix, knew many of the store managers and supervisors. Work hard, keep your nose clean and you can advance. Promotions are from within. Both my sons worked for Publix while in high school and college. oldogy
  17. Ya beat me to it. oldogy
  18. Well, being that I am an old guy, been through a lot of it, seen a lot of it, learned to live with a lot of minor daily irritations, not too much bothers me anymore. Except the government and the way it seems hell bent on turning America into a nation of developing nation stature. Hobama, Pelosie, Reed and that ilk are doing whatever they can to turn this once great country into a socialist or worse wimp nation. What don't they understand about Illegal as in alien ? What don't they understand that we need energy, something besides a tire gauge and hot air? You younger guys and girls better learn to like the change because your lifestyle will never be the same if this trash government is given the free reign it has had so far. Nahh, not much bothers me:rolleyes: oldogy
  19. Welcome from another prior Floridain who got tired of the plastic and crowds. I'll just about guarantee that you'll like TN. oldogy
  20. :)Turncoat is what I called him in my letter voicing my displeasure with his vote. oldogy
  21. Oh my, how the passage of time and stupid laws change things. Many years ago I read an article written by a traffic engineer who stated that since the right hand lane of four lane highways wear out faster due to more traffic, a person would do well to drive in the left lane so as both same direction lanes would wear out and require resurfacing at the same time, thus saving money. My guess is the LEO was only generating revenue. oldogy I am currently in OH and one of the roads I travel daily is so worn out in the right lane it will beat a vehicle badly.. I and most folks here drive in the left lane. Only the heavy trucks use the right lane.
  22. Looks good, Doc. Got it marked. oldogy
