Might be interested in Black Bear Cove and their full hook ups:cool: if I am in town. Any outing there would have to include the Sunday am brunch for me. oldogy

Yeah, I watch Beck when I can break away from other activities. Bad time slot for me to be a daily watcher. He does get a bit over dramatic but I do believe he presents facts and subjects that many other sources are afraid to touch. oldogy

Y'all younguns who have never had the experience to sample or eat on a regular basis some old time farm grown foods don't know what you're missing. Brains breaded in cracker meal and fried lightly is some mighty fine eatin. Brains fixed with scrambled. eggs is good, too. When I was a kid, there wasn't too much from any farm animal that was discarded. Yeah, we did not know about cholesterol then and I am really not convinced it matters that much anyway. oldogy

This information was accurate a few years back. Google is your friend. The state where I am part owner of an ATV dealership does not allow ATVs on the road but most LEOs realize a farmer must sometime move his ATV on the highway and do not mess with them. HTH oldogy BTW, what research I've done always shows street legal machines with street tires, mirrors, horn and other goodies. Here is what you need to know - THE FACTS: Laws vary from state to state, ONLY your local DMV can give you definitive information. Your first stop should be your local department of motor vehicles. Street legal ATV riding will also have limits on how and where you can ride on the road. Being Street Legal doesn’t mean Ride Anywhere at Anytime. A street legal ATV would need to be road worthy including turn signals, headlights, brake lights and a rear view mirror. A minimum ride height may also be required. Proper licensing, registration, insurance and paperwork is not optional for ATVs. In fact obtaining an insurance quote may prove to be a frustrating experience. Special rules - In some states it is only legal to ride an ATV on the road at an angle of aproximately 90 degrees to the direction of the highway. In such places you may hear it is legal to ride an ATV on the road but the specifics may not be what you think they are. Crossing the road doesn’t mean street legal.

oldogy replied to Hgunner's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
In America we still have election by secret ballot. The good doctor does not know who voted for Hobama. The doctor is making a statement........but you surely know that. Call the good doctor dumb if you like. I doubt if he really gives a . oldogy -

Moving to Ohio for 2 months--carry laws?
oldogy replied to nolo's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Looks like I am going to be heading for the Cincinnati area the rest of this week. I've never tried the goetta but will do so this time. I've spent a bit of time in the SW Ohio area over the years. Not my favorite places but business calls. oldogy BTW to OP. Ohio is a must inform state if you are carrying. BTW Is there a restaurant chain that serves goetta? -
No problem firing short or longs in a revolver designed for long rifles. Been firing all three sizes in my old Hi Standard since 1957. Clean the cylinder good, have fun and stay safe. oldogy

That, I have an extremely hard time doing so I apologize up front. Obamacare is about government takeover and that is more important to me than a few dollars I may owe or may save on health insurance. To think of my few dollars during a time of national crisis would be folly. Like it or not, our country is broke. We can not afford this plan. Our founders fought and pledged their fortunes and lives for a government that worked for the people. Now we have the government taking over every aspect of our lives if we let it go. Health insurance is not a right, but a product to be purchased with benefits in mind. We have a culture problem, not an insurance problem. Sure, there are changes that are needed. These changes should not be in the form of Hobama care. My numbers. Retired, good health, no major health issues. Cadillac insurance plan costs the wife and I about $7,000. / year total. Do I know what Hobama care will bring? Does anyone really know at this point? Don't think so. Respectfully, oldogy

Do you not suppose that the "free medical care" as provided by the military is a perk for the job. Like a reduced pay rate in exchange for the insurance. All this private employee provided insurance got started as a perk to get folks to come to work, to sweeten the pot. oldogy

Dubious endorsement? Cuban leader endorses US health care reform...
oldogy replied to G27's topic in General Chat
Quite an endorsement from a :poop:communist country. :rolleyes:And how many free Republics are there in the world? oldogy -
You and the dog are lucky to come out of that scrap unscathed, or in the dog's case, nearly so. Your dog must be one he!! of a fighter to fend off 5 'yotes. Guess I had better start taking more than the handgun when the big black dog and I go out at night. So far as your dog getting rabies, I thought that is why we had rabies shots?? Yeah, I'd call the vet to be sure. Maybe a booster shot. oldogy

But, but, but, the questionnaire is to be answered as of April, 01, 2010. "1. How many people were living or staying in this house, apartment, or mobile home on April 1, 2010?" I can not predict the future with 100% accuracy, so I will not fill out the form until then. oldogy "The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the presidency. It will be easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to an electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails us. Blaming the prince of fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The public can survive a Barack Obama. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president." from the Boortz site

I've found myself in a similar situation, realizing I was carrying somewhere it was illegal. I am certain others of us have also. The way some of the stupid:screwy: damn:poop: laws are written it is so easy to be going about your daily business and find yourself in this situation. Maybe the cops showed a bit of discretionary intelligence. A reason for deep concealment. oldogy

Afraid you're right. There are a lot of talking heads and thinkers pondering this mess right now. If they don't have the votes come 2012 they'll create a crisis to stop the elections. JMO, oldogy

Your government at work. About like the letter I got a couple weeks ago from the Census folks telling me I was going to get a census form:screwy: oldogy "The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the presidency. Does not Rules for Radicals suggest doing what ever, no matter how outrageous to divert the resources of the opponent? oldogy

You beat me to putting this up. Boortz had it on his site this am with no credit to the origin. Whomever,,,, it pretty much spells out where we are and how we got where we are. God help America if she is to survive as land of the free. I feel for my kid, grandkids and all you younger folks. BTW, I did see it was a very old OP, perhaps more timely now than then. oldogy
