I've owned three Whizzers many many years ago. I rode them prior to getting a real drivers license. I can't remember anyone swinging a shovel at me. The new ones are little improved over the originals although they're made off shore. Top end is still only about 35 mph. oldogy

You're too soft hearted....Think of them as BGs, they are. Birdshot if you can or sling shot if you can't comes to mind. oldogy

Yeah, from what you post the fees are eating into anything it is making. Roll it over into what you have and be aware if you do it there could be fees involved if one or both ends. Ask a lot of questions about fees. Be aware if you withdraw and do not roll over you'll pay income tax plus a penalty. oldogy

Find out what the real rate of return on the 401 is prior to doing anything. Are they charging you a service fee of any kind that would reduce the ROR? oldogy

Welcome from someone who was born and spent his early years in western MD. But I got lucky and left long before MD became such a progressive state. Shucks, when I was in high school I had the gun with me much of the time. When I went to college I took two fire arms with me. Sad that MD has become what it is politically. Those hills of western MD are almost as pretty as those of TN. oldogy

Can anybody help me get this website to work right again?

How long has the problem been going on? I am out of town, on the laptop on and off this site all evening and had no problems. oldogy -
What others have said. I bought a Harley in GA in 2007. No problems. oldogy

Compressor requirements are more about pressure, Cubic Feet per Minute and pressure at a given CFM. What will your 'casual use' be? With a small air tank the CFM is even more important than a compressor with a large tank. With a large tank you can let the compressor catch up but with the small unit you can't. If you want to pump up tires or blow the dust out of a firearm the small unit would suffice. Check the CFM requirements for any air tool you plan on using. The oil less compressors are noisey. oldogy Edit: A compressor of any size will require 220 volts.

All three scores about what I figured they would be and I am with that. First test indicate I might be a:tough: with a big negative score. Some, many of the questions a little far out. oldogy

Disassemble, clean thoroughly, dry completely and lubricate, all ASAP. If it were mine I may take it to my friendly gun shop that has a special on clean and lub for $20. I would think an ultrasonic cleaning would be a good thing. Delay is not your gun's friend. oldogy Edit: Make certain there is no rust forming on any of the springs. If there is, replace them.

The NRA, imo, has its place and I belong. Never got any calls but I agree they do spend lots of money on mailings. And since we have a slight bit of thread drift here but are still maintaining important directions: I also support GOA. I also support JPFO, Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership. This group is serious about the right to keep and bear arms and they should be. They pull no punches, call a spade a spade. Their site has some very interesting editorials. And no, they do not push any relegion. oldogy

What is your objective in a self-defense shooting?
oldogy replied to daddyo's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Cause and effect comes to mind. oldogy -
An unhandled gun hurts no one. IMO, a person with a HCP or other reciprocal state permit should not be disarmed unless the officer has very good reason to do so. oldogy

Looked like a decent deal to me. I fondled it and a couple others in that display around 10:15 this am, right after they opened. Had I not already bought one gun from Tim earlier this week it may have followed me home. oldogy

HCP Qualification - Shooting skills involved?
oldogy replied to a topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Welcome to TGO, if no one has done that yet. The others have covered most of your question . In TN you do not have to qualify with the handgun you are going to carry. In fact, you don't even have to own a handgun to get a permit. So I see your profile indicates you are a HCP holder yet you ask the question about shooting requirements to obtain the permit. What am I missing or what don't I understand? Thanks, oldogy -

Where are the animal rights activists when we need em!!!
oldogy replied to leroy's topic in General Chat
Very sad indeed. A lot of thoughts both ways, for the dog, for the boys. In the end, I see that the boys, unless they had been harassing the dog, did what any of us would do, defend themselves. I feel certain a lot of agencies will review their policies on off duty K9 containment. I know a FL dog handler and this dog escape scenario was one he was concerned about. oldogy -
Thanks for putting this up. I saw it earlier and thought it would make a good read but I got distracted. oldogy
