  1. I believe the tax cuts that are to expire in 2011 is what the article is addressing. The bit of the OP is just part of the article. I read Laffer's full article somewhere. The link at the Op may go there. oldogy
  2. Good picture. Did you get to play with the Littlerockers? oldogy

    Ford Stock

I could never figure out what the Mercury line was anyway. It has always been since 1939, a re-badged Ford, not an improvement. It would be interesting to see just exactly what market share it actually gained Ford. Guess it made a lot of jobs for a lot of folks, the free market working. And then there was Edsel:screwy:. Yeah, I have always been partial to Ford and when they refused the bail out monies, even more so. oldogy
  4. More reasons to abolish the agency. oldogy
  5. Yeah, especially when the OP has a "cutesy" but nondescript listing for his location. It is all about composing a good ad. Do not believe we need any changes to the forum structure. oldogy
  6. Guys, I don't claim to be a million mile hiker but a good walking stick has been my most usefull tool. I can usually clear light brush, vines or pull/push them out of the way enough to get through. A good sheath or folding knife is also in order. oldogy
  7. I've not been privy to see the actual cars but I have seen pictures. You're right, they are nice. oldogy
  8. "When they outlaw guns, only the outlaws have guns." So very true. oldogy
  9. www.cokertire.com They have a place In Chattanooga. I've dealt with them several times in the past. Should be able to come up with anything your friend needs. oldogy
  10. Anyone taking bets on the troops having no ammunition? oldogy
  11. This time of year you'll find most good watercraft mechanics are in the weeds, I know ours are. oldogy
  12. I considered that long hard trigger pull the only safety device on the PF9. It is not a fun gun to shoot. oldogy
  13. We're pulling for you, Hollywood. Thanks for the story of adventure. Harper's Ferry, so rich in history and so beautiful. The views of the rivers from various places, fantastic. oldogy
  14. I played with collectible/antique cars for many years, mostly Thunderbirds. Into antique tractors now. I do have a Jeep that we use to get back in the woods occasionally. oldogy
  15. This whole guns where alcohol is served is a farce, not only in TN. The state of OH is fighting legislation over the same thing. Just last week I was in a small independent restaurant in OH where I have eaten many times. I was about half way through breakfast when three ladies sat down at the table next to me and ordered a round of champagne in celebration of some event. There I sat, up till then thinking I was legal..........No signage of any kind indicating they sold alcohol. I asked to see a dinner menue and sure enough, there it was, bottom of the page. Wine and champagne available. oldogy
  16. Good job, accurate and to the point. Thanks for taking the time to present the facts to the media. oldogy
  17. This is worthless without pictures. But I have an imagination and you told the story very well........So did you get the makeup off before the cops came? That would be another story. oldogy
  18. I notice a few financial discussions, questions on here recently so in keeping with the flow: Any of you familar with, read, understand, agree, disagree with the Kondratiev Theory of economic cycles? I think he was pretty darn accurate. oldogy
  19. With gold, you may be able to preserve some actual wealth. Consider what paper monies will be worth by the time these clowns wear the presses out printing it. Look at the history of countries that have done what the US is doing now. Argentina comes to mind. The Kondratieff theory supports that gold is something to hold. IMO, it is too late to get into gold. oldogy
  20. This guy sounds like a real class act.......But we all know he is, based on his administration and previous actions.............and this. oldogy
  21. Another for the Limbsaver. I removed the hard stiff original recoil pad from my model 12 and installed the Limbsaver. I even tried the Limbsaver on my Remington 700 in 30-36, did not fit real well but it reduced the 'pain' to this old guy's shoulder. I'll probably get one that fits the Remmy before I shoot it much again. oldogy
  22. As stated above, they are different guns for different demands or requirements. The Smith is so much easier to deep conceal.........A feller needs both. oldogy
  23. It all goes back to the progressives and "What do they not understand about illegal?" oldogy
  24. Another thread from the past. It would be interesting to know how the OP's "stolen gun" scenario was resolved. oldogy
  25. 37% no at 09:40. oldogy
