  1. I've never used a millennium, but I agree that it needs a strap or two to stabilize it. I carry 2 ratchet straps that I got from TSC in my backpack whenever I use my Summitt Viper climbing stand. As soon as I get it where I want, I strap each piece tight to the tree. I know it won't fall without the strap, but I don't like any wiggle at all.
  2. You can get seam sealer to put on the seams. Comes in a brush-on applicator or spray and helps to seal it up from moisture.
  3. A new gun shop recently opened up in severiville... Buds gun shop. I don't know if they'll have your barrel, but it would be worth checking them out since they are close to where you're staying.
  4. Oh, yeaah! Looks good
  5. This is a good idea. No doubt, there are folks out there that want a G19 Gen2. I only buy the gen2's myself.
  6. Tannerite
  7. This is the truth. I was about to order a cheap ($49) lower + $10 shipping + $30 transfer + $10 TICS = $99 Until I discovered my local shop has one for $69 + $7 tax + $10 TICS = $86 So, I would check local also unless you find a good deal on something specific.
  8. Welcome to TN and TGO! Nope, no registration in TN. The FFL will transfer it to you, but the gun is not "registered" in the Feinstein meaning of the word. You can sell or trade it to a legal person in TN. If you sell it to someone out of state, then it would have to be transferred through FFL again
  9. I personally like a tent that has a screened porch/vestibule over the door. This allows you to store your gear, boots, etc and gives a buffer between your entryway and the outside. I also like a tent that is tall enough to stand up in and has good ventilation. This can all be had in a relatively small tent without breaking the bank. Mine's an old 9'x11'(?) Coleman that I use for small camping trips. Put down a ground cloth and have a rain fly handy, and most tents will do the job around here. When I go out west, I take my better tent though. This is the type I prefer, but I can't seem to find one any cheaper at the moment http://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/68612?page=king-pine-6-person-hd-dome-tent
  10. Good to hear. I'm looking forward to to making a visit to the new buds
  11. Haha, no worries at all. I hope the thread helped out. You did a lot of work on that brush, and you probably feel like you gained some yard space. What did you use on it? I did finally get my chainsaw and one weedeater working again thanks to all the great advice.
  12. I think I develop a little paranoia when I reload because I end up weighing just about every charge. I pretty much throw a "light" charge onto a digital scale then trickle in a little bit more to get it exact. Then I'll put it in the case with a funnel. My chrono readings are pretty tight though, but it sure does take me a while to make a batch, lol. I enjoy the time though :)
  13. Me too. That's a sweet looking gun, TNAR
  14. Wow, is it that high though?
  15. Cast my vote for Joe Carr and to replace judges
  16. Impressive collection! As soon as I run across a G20 gen2, I'll probably have to cave and buy it.
  17. Any problems with that CM9? I've got my eye on one at Buds for $338. Was going to get a PM9, but if the CM9 is reliable...
  18. This is from the above linked article, and is speaking about one of the infected doctors. Yikes. "Meanwhile, Writebol's husband, David, who like his wife is with Samaritan's Purse, is near her, said their son Jeremy, who spoke with CNN's Chris Cuomo from the United States. But she is isolated from him, and he has to wear head-to-toe protective clothing similar to a hazmat suit so that he does not contract a disease that starts out with similar symptoms as a strong flu but can end in internal bleeding and death."
  19. Very nice! I've been wanting a 10 for some time. Congrats
  20. I'll have to try this stuff. I have some areas to kill and RoundUp is expensive
  21. btq, I think I would just lay a tarp down and lop off the bigger vines. Then I would take an elec hedger to it, then drag the tarp to the road. Killing it is a better, more permanent option, but you may kill (i.e., have to clean up) more than you want to. Plus, once it's dead, I'm guessing the leaves will drop all over. For Heaven's sake, spray yourself for ticks before you tackle it!! Been there, done that
  22. You mean parks aren't posted "NO SWORDS"?!? What about the children?!
  23. $199 was a good deal for the bushnell/burris I've never used the strikefire, but I have a Sparc on an AR. I use it for 3gun, and I have been very happy with it too.
  24. I keep coming back to the Vortex PST 1-4 for mine. Haven't decided yet, but I like it for the price
  25. My wife thinks I'm stupid because I just laughed till I had tears when I looked that up Oh boy, educational this thread is
