  1. No doubt that doe has a young'n running around. She needs a bra, lol. Nice looking spot for a stand.
  2. That's a really cool looking knife. I love the shape of that blade.
  3. That stinks. What about the ones that allow external difibulation?
  4. Since you're interested in the best way to buy a car... Why would you drive a beater 4-7 years and then junk it for an equal beater? Pay cash for a beater... Improve it, sell it, make a profit (or at least break even)... put more saved cash with it and buy another (better) beater.... Improve it, sell it, make a profit or break even... repeat a few times. Eventually you won't have a beater anymore. Nothing wrong with driving a beater if that's what you can do, but I would try to get my money back out of it while saving cash to add for the next (better) beater.
  5. Yeah, the little ones end up in the gutter if you fly them outside, lol. Inside, they're fun to harass the dog with.
  6. I don't have the X1, but I have several of there tiny S107G helicopters and one large one. Syma copters are pretty nice from my impression. I like the metal construction and they are easy to fly. Oh, I lost one in a gutter once and took me forever to get it out. I strapped an old cell phone to the bottom of the big one once and hit record. I got some good video of the yard and top of the house. Fun
  7. Awesome! Congrats!!!
  8. That's how I use my Coleman too. It's plenty for 90% of the time in TN. I also have a Cabelas Big Horn II outfitters tent with a wood burning stove. That thing is awesome for long stays in cold weather if you can drive to a spot. I'll be using it again this year out West. It's overkill in TN though, so I use it about once a year.
  9. That's what I'm thinking too. My Keltec 380 is rougher on my paws than my full size 40's
  10. I have a close family member that may be needing a pacemaker, and this got me thinking about electronic medical devices and EMP. I wonder if an "MRI-compliant" pacemaker would survive emp. I wish I could just put a spare in a faraday cage, but we couldn't change it out anyway... I'm not paranoid or even expecting emp, but why not keep a few items safe just in case. Here's what I like to keep protected: Flashlights Old cell phone with DC charger with vital records on a SD card 2 handheld HAM radios (with DC charger) Small AC inverter Old android tablet that I have with a DC charger (also will accept SD card) SD cards with important information Watch 2 smaller solar panels Portable NOAA WX radio/flashlight/hand crank charger 4 FRS/GMRS 2-way radios If I need transportation, I guess I will be driving the OLD Ford tractor, lol
  11. Someone (kids) chucked a cantaloupe at my car (50mph) from behind a bush when I was a teenager in Maryland. It cracked the front window and broke the drivers side mirror of my BMW that I worked like a dog to pay for. I was not happy to say the least. I was young and stupid and went back to try and find them... probably good thing for both of us that they were already gone. There was fruit all over the road where they had been doing that to others. I called the cops but never heard anymore about it. I have no tolerance for that kind of junk.
  12. Shot one on my grandparents farm in GA when I was a kid. I had intended to try it but couldn't bring myself to it. Seemed too nasty up close. They ate one on one of the Dual Survival episodes.
  13. Looks like the live cam is still rollin'
  14. I still have an ip camera, router, cell modem and other pieces to make a live remote camera that I haven't put together yet. I was inspired by that Live Crush Cam thread last year but ran out of time to make it happen. I actually kind of forgot about it. I think I'll work on that this weekend if I can
  15. That was amazing. I have so many still pics of bucks staring right into my camera with no subsequent pics. I bet they just bolted
  16. 2 rounds too many or 28 rounds short??? ;)
  17. Wow, that's a good video. I'll put my cams head high
  18. I'm super excited about it this year. I still have a lot of work to do though... mow the trails, plant a couple small plots, stand maintenance, etc. I always look forward to it, but somehow it always sneaks up on me. Need to get to work. I just hope I can avoid the ticks/chiggers this year!
  19. Nice looking gun. Congrats!
  20. Maybe a graphics card problem? Update the video driver?? Is it a VGA cable to the monitor? Are you low on RAM? Do you need to free up some space on the hard drive? Just some areas I would look into
  21. I don't know much about the Tikka except that it is a light rifle. People seem to like them though. I always thought that if I was going to have a project rifle that I tweaked into the perfect long-range shooter it would probably be a Savage since the barrel, stock, etc are easy to swap out and it's an affordable platform. Lots of builds over on www.longerangehunting.com. Probably some Tikkas too
  22. MY EYES!!! What a hideous creature you found Dave. Got the hee-bee-jeebies now...
  23. That's a serious jump rope, lol. I actually have on of those in my camping gear. I've never used it though. Does it work pretty good?
  24. Exactly! There's also the Tannerite ignited Bon fire that used to be a weedeater if the thing gets too unruly ;)
  25. No, sorry, it's not. If I want to go green, I'll use an ax
