  1. LOL. Careful messin' with squirrels though... they're vindictive little creatures.
  2. Lol, the groundhog I saw was a big'n too. He sure was busy
  3. I must be getting soft 'cause I have a hard time shooting momma with fawns anymore. The last time I did was a couple years ago with a muzzleloader, and fawns watched as I gutted and followed me to the truck as I dragged momma. I didn't feel good about it, lol. I know I could have busted them too, but they were button bucks. They both hung around that same stand until the second one was killed last year. Anyway, that's my doe and fawns story.
  4. I came in early... still a little too warm for me. I watched a fat groundhog for a while but didn't see any deer.
  5. Maybe this will make you feel better... I came in early because it's still a little too warm for me. I saw a groundhog but that's it.
  6. Getting some food, and I'll be back in the stand in a couple hours.
  7. The reports indicates that the Muslim was actively stabbing the second woman, so I'd say the LEO made an excellent shot to stop the threat without collateral damage. Thoughts and prayers for the victims and families.
  8. Argh, I can't even sleep. Ready for action!
  9. Nice rack! :) I can't sleep... Too excited about opening morning!
  10. If you don't have personal info tied to your FB, does that mean an alias will win your prize? Or do you get to enter your real name, address, etc. on the Starline page? I don't know 'cause I don't have FB...
  11. Without a voltmeter aren't you suppose to touch the wire to your tongue to see if it's hot? Ok... nobody try that. Lol
  12. Welcome
  13. They probably have to take a poll first to find out if they should fire or not
  14. That always makes me nervous too cutting big branches from the stand like that. If it's a really branchy tree, I'll sit on the limb I want to cut and use a hand saw to lop off the bulk of it like you did. Then I'll get off and cut the remaining stump. Scary stuff for sure. Glad it worked out for you. I'll be out tomorrow finishing up some maintenance on my stands. I drove by my hunting land tonight and had 3 does run from it across the street in front of me. Good times await Edit: btw, nice stands you have there slappy
  15. Caster put up a great how-to a while back. Helped me a bunch when I first started http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/43785-the-lead-thread/
  16. Yep, they are both capable of stabbing you in the back.
  17. I'd say the heat gun was inadequate. I'd heat it with a torch if I really needed that sight out
  18. Thanks! Work has kept me way too busy. I still have faint scar marks on my ankles from last year's chigger love. I hope the itching isn't too bad for ya, those things are brutal. My brother uses Beman ICS Hunters and he likes them. I switched from aluminum to carbon 2 years ago and have been really happy. I fletch my own with feathers and use red Nocturnal illuminated nocks. Those nocks opened up a whole new level of enjoyment when shooting my bow. I just use Muzzy100 broadheads.
  19. Lol, I survived the chiggers but I had a huge battle with some ground-nesting bees. They stung me twice, but I won the war with gasoline. I nuked them all. That'll teach them for stingin' me on the forehead, haha. I've just been having to work so much lately, so my TGO time has been limited to brief moments on the phone. I am getting really excited about opening day! I still have a little stand maintenance to do, so I hope I can slip in there Monday and get it done without disturbing things too much.
  20. A ) Polls are for dancing B ) Poles are for dancing C ) "B" is useless without pictures
  21. A) Yes they have B ) No, they have not C) I'm not sure     "C" for me :)
  22.   oh, I just skimmed through and missed that part
  23. I bought a cheapy from amazon expecting to get what I paid for. I used it for 3gun, and it worked great. I don't have an expensive one to compare it to, but it definitely reduced the muzzle rise and made for faster follow -up shots. I'll try one of the bigger names some day, but for me this one is better than a flash hider at $16.46 shipped. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00C6O5BV6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  24. Payment sent. 17 if it's still available
