Here's what Nigeria says about how it is spread (#6 :hiding: ) http://www.health.gov.ng/ebolainfo/index.php/2-uncategorised/6-a-article-3 You'll have to wear tinfoil glasses if you read this article, but it has some interesting stuff concerning whether or not it's airborne. http://www.libertynews.com/2014/10/exclusive-was-ebola-designed-as-bioterrorism-weapon-and-is-already-airborne-texas-nurse-provides-terrifying-report-breaking-exclusive-report/

Can't be because I thought someone posted it was all Bush's fault. Msnbc is still around? Who knew

All my knives are accounted for at the moment, but I have nearly torn the house apart looking for my Fenix LD15 flashlight. I'm lost without it riding in my pocket, and it's been missing about 3 weeks. It was $40, so I don't know why I haven't ordered another. Principle of it I guess. Yes, I think getting older has something to do with it :(

Congrats! Meat for the freezer. It sure looked like a good morning for them. I wasn't able to go, but I'll be out this afternoon!

 Money well spent!!

Huh, I learned something. I thought it was illegal for deer also, but.... From the TWRA FAQ page: Is it legal to use an electronic call to hunt coyotes? Yes. It is legal to use an electronic call (during daylight hours only) for all game species except for fox, wild turkey, and waterfowl. http://www.tn.gov/twra/faqmain.html

I never thought about sweat. I guess all the fitness facilities in Dallas will be empty after this article. http://www.cnn.com/2014/10/02/us/texas-woman-quarantine-ebola-thomas-duncan/index.html

Don't look here if you don't want to laugh.

What!?! They're not in style? :screwy:  -
My thoughts exactly. If I'm not mistaken, that's the same way someone can catch the cold or flu.

I have better luck with last minute climbers than any other type of stand. I hope you get one!

That's right, and he said there will never be a case in the USA..... oh, wait...

There must have been an awful lot of body fluids flying around for them to quarantine everyone that came near the guy. I am 110% sure that there is more to the "you can only get it through body fluids" story the .gov is pushing so hard.

Cool temps... yeHaw!! Maybe it'll start feeling like deer season. The freezer is empty and waiting

"It's not airborne. Trust us, we're the government."

I made one that I could use with my phone a couple years ago. I got a small battery powered amp and loud speaker from Radio Shack. I got tired of the wires and eventually got a FoxPro, but the homemade one worked well. Here is the advice I followed to build it http://www.predatormastersforums.com/homemadeecaller.shtml With technology like it is, you may be able to build a wireless version just as cheap.

That would suck to get killed by a penguin

Oh no, what kind of zoo animal? :hiding: :panic: lol

Pretty much describes my hound, too.

If he's not sleeping, my redbone coonhound will give an "aggressive" (but playful) welcome to anyone that shows up. He will bark his head off if his big ears or nose detects something going on outside. Not much of a protector though.

Just great.... I'm heading to Dallas soon on an airline, and I'll be there for a couple weeks. Lovely. Maybe I'll dress in Saran Wrap.

Work keeps getting in the way of my fun time, too. I was able to go to the woods late afternoon today and look for my mechanical release that I lost. I was backtracking my steps, and when I reached my stand, I saw 4 does right under it. Figures! They saw me and bolted. I didn't find my release either, so I ordered a new one just like I had (Scott Mongoose). Rough start to the season so far, but I'm enjoying the time in the woods

Haha, they are fun to watch. I went to a different part of the woods today than where I saw that one Saturday. I'm curious to see if he will still be there next time I go to that spot.

I think one of the best things the TN Legislature has done in recent years is to allow HCP holders to carry a sidearm all year even while bowhunting. I like having my carry piece in the woods while hunting, camping and hiking. What I carry depends on the hunting season and if I want it concealed. I have leaned heavily towards revolvers for this purpose, but lately I have been jonesing for a Glock20 :) Here is what I carry now (until I get the G20) #1) S&W 3" Model 13-3 in .357mag. This is my primary "woods gun" at the moment. I can conceal it and it shoots well. The problem is I don't want to mess this gun up, so it's not ideal for this purpose. It carries great during bow season or while hiking though. #2) Ruger Super Blackhawk 4-5/8" bbl in 44mag. I'll carry this if weight/concealability is not an issue and I want a backup to my rifle if deer gun season is open. I also prefer this if I'm camping or bowhunting in bear country. #3) Next, as I mentioned, will be a G20. Since I've started shooting 3gun, I've realized just how important capacity is, lol. If I lived in griz country, I'd consider a G21 with a 460 Rowland conversion, but a 10mm should be more than sufficient in TN woods.

http://youtu.be/iweOSPbU73Y Lol. Name him and put out some food and water. Gotta take care of the locals, lol. Or.... use him for target practice

I went out this afternoon, and slipped as quietly as I could to one of my stands that still needed some serious maintenance. I ended up just improving that site and getting it ready for the rest of the season. I saw a few squirrels and found a turkey feather. I also sweated way too much and lost my Scott release to my bow :( It's fun just getting out in the woods. I'm bummed about losing the release though.
