Official TGO Runt4 Buy in thread
Wingshooter replied to willis68's topic in Knives, Lights, EDC Gear
Payment sent for one regular blade #23. Also, I changed my username since I bought the Godfather and after I first committed to buy the Runt. My old username was "Batman" -
Coyote Rifleworks trust- Too good to be true?
Wingshooter replied to KKing's topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
 Holiday special you say? I have been kicking around the idea of a suppressor forever. I want a trust because I know there no way I'll be able to stop with just a suppressor :) I guess I'll make a call, too. -
I was standing on a ladder earlier painting a room in the house, and my wife says, "do you always carry a gun when you paint?". LOL. My shirt must have ridden up over my IWB G19. I'm rarely without it, so yes, I guess I do :)

New Twist in the SIG Brace Debate
Wingshooter replied to btq96r's topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
Wacky. So, if I attach it to my arm as designed and keep my arm straight, I'm fine; however, as soon as I bend my elbow I'm a criminal. Doesn't the BATF know that a forearm is just an extension of the shoulder :screwy: Oh well, they're still legal, right? ... Just don't put it to my shoulder. Maybe it's a good time for me to buy one cheap -

Wow, glad you're all ok. I watched my grandfather and still watching my grandmother suffer with it. My grandmother started showing signs of Alzheimer's about 11 years ago and is still struggling with it. My grandfather developed dementia at about the same time. It was incredibly tough when we all realized that we had to protect them (and us) from themselves. It was another tough time when we realized we couldn't provide the type of 24/7/365 care they had to have. Hang in there, and as tough as it is, think "baby proof" the house. My grandmother nearly burned the house down by putting laundry in the stove and turning it on. It's a sad, sad disease.

Anyone have sheep, goats and/or mini donkeys?
Wingshooter replied to maroonandwhite's topic in General Chat
I have spent the last several minutes Googling mini cows (and other farm animals)! I had no idea. They're cool. I have been thinking about goats, chickens and maybe a cow on my land. This opens new possibilities. Thanks -

We are getting a dog!!! Where to train and which one??
Wingshooter replied to Ladyhay's topic in General Chat
We have a Redbone Coonhound  Anytime someone (or something) steps foot in the yard I hear the relentless baying like he's treed a raccoon in the woods, lol. He sleeps with the kids upstairs and will wake up from a dead snore to investigate (i.e., bark at) a cat or squirrel on the front porch. He's super gentle, and I honestly believe he would let the kids pull his ears off before he would hurt them intentionally. He is more of an early detection system instead of a guard dog. Although he tends to want to jump up on strangers, as soon as that stranger acknowledges him, he will quit trying to get their attention. He has been potty trained since day one - no joke. We got him at 10 weeks old and he's only peed in the house once in two years. We took him out often to use the potty in the same spot in the yard, and he learned it right away. To this day, he still uses that corner of the yard to do his business. It amazes me how smart these dogs are. His biggest flaw... the moment he gets out of the house or fence he'll follow his nose to the end of the world. Hound dogs like to bark and run like the wind when they're not sleeping. If he gets out, then I have to go on a search and rescue mission  He was a lot of work as house dog when he was a puppy, but he sleeps a lot more now and is more content inside. I originally intended to hunt with him, but he became a full-time pet. With proper bathing and brushing, there is no noticeable shedding. Did I mention that he can make A LOT of noise :nervous: As far as training... Be consistent and positive. Dogs want to please their owner, and rewarding them for good behavior works. I've also had a Britney Spaniel, Samoyed, Siberian Huskies, Rottweiler, Black Chow :death:, beagles, and mutts. If I lived in a cooler climate, I would have another husky. -

That's really cool. Of course, the redneck in me is trying to think of a cheaper way to accomplish that lol... FaceTime my ipad from my cell phone and position cell phone near the target?? Could work  Really cool piece of gear, though. -
I just picked up my new Stoeger m3000 today. $485 isn't too bad for a NIB inertia driven gun. I'm super pleased with it out of the box and can't wait to shoot it. It will be for 3gun. I have an older 1100 that I shoot a lot, and it's a great shotgun, too. However, the 30" bbl that comes on the 3" magnum receivers will not cycle light loads reliably because the barrel only has one gas port. I purchased a new barrel (has two ports), and it will cycle anything I throw at it now. An older 1100 is a fine choice. I have not shot an 11-87. It's hard to beat a nice beretta for skeet/trap if you want to spend the money. I'm not familiar with the 390. If your looking in the $600 range, the 1100 or 11-87 should serve you well. Is the 11-87 wood or synthetic? Me personally, I would want wood stock for a skeet/trap gun.

Awesome. Congrats! What type of terrain... hills, fields? Do you have a tractor? Edit: coyote hunts are fun!

I've replaced two myself. My Dodge Ram was simple. The BMW was a nightmare. Both were well worth the repair, though.

Wingshooter replied to Spiffy's topic in Competitive Shooting Sports
You did a good job on it. I like the way it angles deeper as it gets closer to the mag tube. I'm going to be opening up my Stoeger m3k when I get it -
After ready this, I put Google search to work to see if a Redbone Coonhound has ever gone on record for killing someone. Well, I still feel safe alone with him

Very cool. 4 rounds per crank... where am I gonna find 4 rounds of 22lr?

Out of those two, I think VM. Simpler gas system and seems a little easier to load. Heavier than the Beretta, but less recoil. That's a tough choice. I've been reading some good things about the Stoeger m3000. I was saving for an M2, but After a lot of research, I think the Stoeger is my next 3gun shotgun at $485. Glad to hear that yours runs good. -
I have a cw45. I've never had any issue with it and the trigger has really grown on me. Kahr makes a great gun IMO.
