  1. I found this on the TWRA FAQs page... "Does your agency pick up dead deer or need to know about one on the road? No longer. If you wish to report a deer found dead on a state road, please call the State Highway Department. If it's on a county road, please call the County Road Department." http://www.tn.gov/twra/faqmain.html#Wildlife
  2. My guess is that using a gun causes some folks in charge to associate the action with "hunting" whereas a knife may not attract that attention  I'm not aware of any laws about it specifically though
  3. I think a TWRA officer probably could cite you if they really wanted to (out of season, on a roadway, etc.), but I doubt most officers would given the intent and circumstances
  4. Wow, that's a big one. I've been harassed a bit by the the red wasps this year.
  5. Those are cool. Love it!
  6. Nice! I don't have any USA made Glocks, but I do love the 17. Nice find
  7. What temp does a good root cellar maintain? Maybe dig one of those proactively. I've been thinking about building one
  8. I think all of the shrouds are interchangeable. It also seems like I had the option to choose the shroud design at checkout from their site. They shipped pretty fast too
  9. With the one I have, the brake just screws onto the barrel like any other (available in 1/2x28 or 5/8x24). They have clocking rings available if needed to index it properly. Then the shroud screws onto the brake. I can remove or reinstall the shroud easily by hand while the brake stays in place.

  11. Thanks! My other ARs are 5.56, so I wanted to try something different. I don't even have any ammo for it yet though
  12. I like the covered look too, but my muzzle device buts right up against the end. My handguard is too narrow to get a standard 7.62 can under there I believe, but it should be flush with the end if installed on a QD. I started to get the KX3 but decided to save some money towards a can and stamp. The Kenti-Tech sound redirect shroud has an interesting thread pitch of 13/16 x16.
  13. Thanks. The AR pistol bug grew on me from looking at pics on TGO too. I might put a SIG brace on it, but I want to see how it shoots first. This is quickly becoming my favorite AR to handle. So light

Yeah, but you have to get a shot :hiding:
  15. I finally built my TGO upper/lower set! I went with a pistol (for now) in 300 Blackout. I still need to tweek a couple of things (need a riser for the red dot, need to trim the foam pad back, etc.), but it's ready to function check. -8.5" bbl -8" SLR Rifleworks handguard -BCM BCG -BCM large charging handle -Magpul MOE grip (originally FDE painted black). I will replace this with a K2+ -cheap ($20) red dot from eBay. I wanted to make sure I liked this setup before I replace it with a Better one -YHM 1/2" mini riser on order -A set of generic BUIS I had laying around. I'll replace these at some point -I'll have to trim the foam pad back a little because it interferes with the CH -Kenti-Tech muzzle brake / redirect. http://www.kineti-tech.com/kineti-tech-muzzle-brake-with-sound-redirect-with-13-16-x-16-threaded-sleeve-2-piece/ -I plan to suppress it in time

Oh man, I have had the fever, joint pain and achiness most of the week. I haven't had any of the nasal drainage or coughing, but I did get a big dose of generally feeling like crap.
  17. That's what the Keltec rep told me on the phone also. I do the same with my P3AT too. The new mag catch that he sent me was metal
  18. I've had mine for about 4 years and carry 147g JHP. I've shot more 115 than 147, but it has always handled 147 with no problem. Very accurate too. I did have a problem recently with the mag dropping just enough to cause a jam after each shot. I called Keltec, and they sent me a new mag release (no charge). That solved the issue, and it's flawless again.
  19. Good info. That does help. Did they spray the stuff that was growing?
  20. Great idea. I'll probably do that tomorrow
  21. There wasn't a vapor barrier at all until about 3 years ago. It was really damp then, so I put down a barrier over about 50%. When I get this cleaned up, I'll install barrier over the remainder. I don't think there are enough vents either, so I might add one... Or two.
  22. Awesome news. Did you take any steps to keep it from coming back in the future (power vents, dehumidifier, periodic treatments, etc.) ?
