Lenior City traffic stop

I had forgotten about this thread  -
The difference between a "good, peaceful" muslim and a "bad, extremist" one is simply the level to which they follow the koran. So, there are no peaceful muslims in my book. Only sleaper extreamists because when they achieve what their religion teaches, then they will try kill us all. Time to send more cranes to the middle east!

With my luck, I'd probably end up braiding poision ivy. Lol

I remember my mom calling to see if I was at home or at work. I was an airline pilot and frequently flew into Newark, JFK and LaGuardia airports. I was on a day off that day, and she said I should turn on the TV. When I did, one tower was smoking, and there was confussion about what was going on. At first I suspected a weird accident, but it just seemed too deliberate. As I watched, the other aircraft hit the second tower. We all knew at that point we were under attack. I felt so many emotions as the towers fell and so many people lost their lives. So many things changed that day, and it is a day I will never forget. I speak to my children about it often. God bless the families that lost loved ones that day, and God bless America. Now, more than ever, we need to be diligent, united and prepared.

Any Gallatin car mechanics on here that can help out a brother?
Wingshooter replied to Steelharp's topic in General Chat
A simple thing to check first would be the cooling fan fuse. Not likely to be that easy but look at the easy stuff first. Also check for any loose or broken belts on the water pump How much gas does your Voyager have? Maybe is has some contaminants in the tank if your fuel level is low. I have a Dodge ram truck the acks like that when it's low on gas. It runs like a top if it has more than a 1/4 tank, but will sputter and ack goofy if below 1/4. I'm just trying to think of the easy stuff first. Good luck -
 Yeah, the whole story is a little... fishy

HELP, New to State and Wanting to Buy first firearm
Wingshooter replied to leprechaun's topic in Handguns
Hey, I learn something new from TGO everyday :) I always expect to pay a transfer + TICs for internet transfers, etc. (basically, anytime the shop is not making money on the deal). All FFLs roll their fee for running the store/overhead into the price of in stock guns as mark-up. They just call it markup or profit instead of "transfer" I guess. -
HELP, New to State and Wanting to Buy first firearm
Wingshooter replied to leprechaun's topic in Handguns
I personally would pay a higher OTD price at the shop down the street before I would ever pay a "transfer" fee for an in-stock gun. I have bought my share of guns over the years, and I have never experienced an FFL openly admitting to a transfer fee tacked on for guns in stock. -
A round in the chamber at that. Actually... I guess she had all the rounds in "the chamber"

Coast DX340 Double Lock Folding Knife

looks like a good buy. I may have to order one (or 3) -
Thanks, Patton. Great info. Midway has the Storm Lake conversion. GT's is where I was looking for the pistol :) I like the idea of being able to go .45 or 10mm Do you think I would need to change the extractor or recoil spring while running 10mm in the G21?
-
Will a G21 with a 10mm barrel and mags be as reliable as a G20? I found a good deal on a used G21sf. I can do that and a 10mm conversion bbl cheaper than any G20 I've found. If reliablity will suffer though, then I'll just spend more on a gen4 G20.

Man's best friend, asset or liability?
Wingshooter replied to Rhodewarrior's topic in Survival and Preparedness
Haha. Yep, mine hound is better than a weather radio because I can tell when a storm's coming when he gets stressed and won't leave my side. -
I have an old Rem1100 12ga magnum. It came with a 30" fixed full choke "magnum" barrel. That bbl only has one gas port, so it will not reliably cycle light loads. I bought a new 22" Competition Master Rem1100 bbl from Midwayusa to use in 3gun. It has screw-in chokes and 2 gas ports. It cycles everything I've fed it. The only thing is the matte black finish of the new bbl does not match the high-gloss blued finish of my receiver, but I think it actually looks kind of cool.

Man's best friend, asset or liability?
Wingshooter replied to Rhodewarrior's topic in Survival and Preparedness
Haha, mine too! He sleeps upstairs with the kids but will come running from a dead snore if I open the fridge downstairs  In a survival situation, he would chase the first squirrel, cat, rabbit, etc. he sees, and that would be the last I see of him  He's a Redbone Coonhound, so he thinks that's his job. Plus, he barks/howls at every little thing, so my position would always be compromised. -

I have a question for everyone.
Wingshooter replied to Dolomite_supafly's topic in Survival and Preparedness
I need to refill my propane cylinders. I usually keep 3 of the exchange-type tanks full for the grill, camping stove, lantern or heater as a backup source. We've done a lot of grilling out this summer, and I need to exchange my tanks for full ones. Especially before winter arrives. I keep several of the small bottles on hand too, but those are secondary to the tanks if I am still at the house. I would be hesitant to use the grill during a crisis though, because the hungries might be attracted to the smell. The camping stove would be great for cooking beans, etc. though. EDIT: I would also add that I am lacking organization. I have a bunch of stuff and supplies, but It's not organized very well. Plus, if I am away from home, my wife and kids may not be able to utilize everything we have. I need to organize gear and train the family better.
