When I got mine, it seemed like there were good ones and bad ones. Hit or miss so to speak. I think I got lucky and got a good one.:) I would think (or hope) that the quality control and consistency has improved over the years, but ya never know. Now my P3AT on the other hand... I had all sorts of problems with it from day one. I finally got them sorted out, but I still have a hard time trusting it.

Same here... I'm saving for a G20. Plus, I have an AK parts kit still sitting in a box needing a receiver and barrel. These AR deals are crazy good, though.

I stared at it and saw a close up of commercial grade carpet.... in 3D :) That or a bunch of dancing zombies

Mine is pretty accurate out to about 20yds

The grip, trigger guard and trigger have some sharp edges and seams from the factory. I took some fine grit sandpaper and smoothed it all out. However, the curvature of the trigger hits my finger wrong and doesn't feel good after a few rounds. It's just not that comfortable in the bare hand when firing. The sights are not bad except they're plastic. Otherwise they line up well for me. I enjoy shooting mine for the first 15 rounds or so, then I start to notice the dicomfort. It's really not a bad gun for the price. I still have mine and carry it often.

Thx Actually, I can find it from iPad if I press and hold the avitar to copy it, etc. Looks like user ID number

What's mine? Can't do it on an iPad

I think there is, but I don't know how to do it. I generally like to see the good, the bad and the ugly :) Makes it more interesting I think

I usually just spray them down with CLP or something similar. This particular BCG is new, and I tested it pretty dry. The lighter BCG that functioned was pretty wet from my other AR. Maybe it'll be that simple of a fix

Good thought. I do know that, but I can't remember if I built it that way or not. It's been a while since I put it together, and it's just been sitting around unfired until now. I want to say that I did factor in the offset because I've done that on other rifles, but I need to confirm it on this one. I'll have to check it out. Thanks

Fear The Walking Dead (Los Angeles spinoff)

I think maybe they are in shock and too worried about the situation/each other to reflect on their defensive actions. That's what I keep telling myself anyway to keep it real :) They better start syphoning gas out of all the neighbors' cars. How else they gonna get to the desert with the traffic jam that they are certain to encounter? Madison is ready to bug out for sure, but I'd stay put, scavenge and fortify. -
I have the BCG all lubed up now. If I can, I'll take it back out for another spin tomorrow to see if there is any improvement.

I checked the gas block allignment. It seed to be proper, but it's worth another look. I've always questioned the block itself because it was a no-name cheapy. I'm anxious to do a proper lube on the BCG and give it another try. It was way too dry.

Great info. Thanks. What's the best way to measure port size... shank of a drill bit?

This is the troublemaker :)

That's what I'm thinking, too. I have another rifle that I wanted to keep the SA BCG with, but I could just buy another one. I just don't like it that this rifle is finiky. I put a really cheap low profile gas block on it. I have an adjustable laying around. Maybe I should try the other gas block

That's a very good point. I lubed it, but it was still on the drier side and not according to that diagram. I'll lube it up better

It's been happening since it's birth :) It's a parts gun that I put together about a year ago, and I'm just now getting around to breaking it in. I got the M16 BCG from PSA a couple months ago (the sale for $79). This gun will be my primary coyote rifle. However, I used it this last weekend at 3gun with the lighter BCG from my other rifle just to see if I could get it to fail, and it ran great. The buffer is a standard carbine. I just put it on the scale = 2.96 oz. The spring measures 10.5" uncompressed

One of my ARs is experiencing problems while running a heavier full-auto BCG. However, it is flawless if I run it with a lighter BCG. One issue is the brass not ejecting very far and at about 1:00 position. The other issue is the bolt not always locking back on empty mag. It seems to me that the FA BCG is too heavy for the gas system because the lighter SA BCG throws a neat little pile at 4:00 position and always locks open on empty mag. It is a 5.56 16" bbl, mid-lenth gas, carbine buffer. Is this common for a ML gas system, or do I have a gas problem (lol)? Or should I try a lighter buffer, or maybe I should just get a SA BCG for it since it runs so well like that. Suggestions?

Haha. Even better. Bonus points

I didn't realize the price difference. The CM9 and PM9 are the smallest 9mm Kahrs. The CM9 is bassically a PM9 with different barrel riffling, non dovetailed sights, and not as fancy of a slide. The PM9 costs a lot more than the CM9, but I think the CM9 is just as good. The Kahr triggers are looong but smooth. Kinda feels like a revolver. I have shot the CM9 next to my PF9. My PF9 was more accurate but the Kahr had a better trigger and felt better in my hand.

I've had a hard chrome/black one for years. I've put 100's of rounds through it (mostly 147g JHp) with only one issue... it started dropping the mag after every shot. I called Keltec, and they expidited me a free mag catch/release no questions asked (my early model originally had plastic, and this was the newer metal one). I replaced the part, and it is 100% again. I've never had any other failures. Mine is crazy accurate. It will flat drill out the center, but it's painful to shoot about 1/2 way through a box of ammo. I sanded the rough edges off of the grip, trigger and trigger guard, and that helped a lot. I carry it more than any gun I have. It's very easy, light and thin to carry. ETA: the trigger reset on the PF9 sucks because it gives a "false click" on the reset before the actual reset. I like the PF9, but the Kahr CM9 is probably a more refined choice in the same price range. The Shield is an excellent choice, but I believe the PF9 is slightly smaller/lighter (could be wrong)

Sweet! So, you're back in business with the Sable? Any luck with the Voyager yet?
