And they're even wearing belts!? They must be defective or maybe should come with instructions. :shake:

i just ran across an older hickok45 video with a tour of his range. Good stuff. He says he gets most of his targets from http://www.arntzentargets.com Looks pricey but good variety. Here's the video if you haven't seen it. Interesting. http://youtu.be/omVvuRFuAZ4 -
Awesome story and sweet rifle! Congrats on the good times and nice 308.

First time I've seen that site. I like their gongs. I think I'll order a couple. I've been wanting to make a small steel range for a while. I love shooting steel at 3gun, and I thought about ordering some knock overs like I encounter there for practice. http://www.ebay.com/itm/261049184707?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT -
Awesome! Looks like you all had a lot of fun and caught some nice fish. I grew up saltwater fishing on the Chessapeke Bay and parts of the Atlantic coast. So much fun. I havn't been saltwater fishing in years, though.

I'm DVR'ing it. I'll watch after the kids and wife are finally asleep (they don't share my addiction to the show). Looking forward to the new season!

Why have I not been checking this thread? It's full of win. Well, except for post #53 by TMF. That's proof right there that strange creatures do exist. I was going to repost the pic but was afraid it would crack my ipad.

is it a good or bad idea to let a 14 year old visit her mom in jail?
Wingshooter replied to 3600's topic in General Chat
I have a 15yr old daughter. If it were my wife, I would stick by her and comfort the kids. I would have a good conversation with the kids, explain things and allow them to visit if they want to. Good luck. It has to be hard on all involved. -
My first choice: Martin Firecat bow, GoldTip arrows, Muzzy100 broadheads My scouting/light-weight/when I don't feel like a scope rifle: 1946 Winchester 94, .30WCF My primary go-to bolt rifle: Savage 110, 30-06, Luepold scope since this pic. I'll take this one during any kind of weather and into a tree stand without worry of scratching it up. Tack driver!! My nostalgia bolt rifle: Rock Island Arsenal 1903, sporterized stock, 30-06, nikon scope. Given to me by my grandfather, so I'll take this one on easy, fair weather hunts where it's not likely to get damaged. Handgun: Ruger SBH, .44mag, 2x scope. I'll take it if I feel like a handgun or if it's raining hard (holstered under a rain coat) Muzzleloader: CVA optima 50cal inline with scope or Traditions side-hammer percussion 50cal carbine with iron sights (killed the most deer with this one!) Photobucket is not cooperating with me at the moment for the other pics

If you can cut a small notch in the body of the roll pin, it looks like you might be able to get a long, thin flat-bladed screw driver on the notch to knock it out a little. With that much of the roll pin exposed in the buffer, there should be a way to get it backed out enough to pull it out. Or... Cut the exposed roll pin in half and drive it on through the stock the rest of the way
-
In the second pic... is that the roll pin I see exposed in the buffer tube? If so, can you get some narrow needle nosed pliers on it and wiggle/push it out a little? Withe the cost of that buffer, I understand not wanting to mangle it.
-
Hmmm. How close is the pin to the front of the stock? If you remove the buffer tube/stock from the AR, can you slide a thin hack saw blade between the stock and buffer tube to cut the roll pin? Again, it will depend on how/where it is positioned. If you have to cut into the buffer tube, they are cheap. I'd just take extra care not to damage that stock.

IDPA: International Defensive Pistol Association. Basically use a concealed handgun to engage paper targets in a "real-world" scenario. Scored by time and accuracy. I've never done it, but I've watched. I may try it soon. http://www.idpa.com 3gun: You use rifle, pistol and shotgun to engage paper, steel and clay targets. Each stage is setup with multiple targets. It is scored by time and accuracy. This is what I have been into for about 2yrs. http://3gunnation.com Long range rifle: precision shooting at steel targets at various yardages (1000yds +). I want to get into this very badly. I just need more time and money, lol. Sporting clays Cowboy shoots Those are the one's that come to mind -
If they would come up with a shot for East TN sinus issues, then I'd be first in line!
-
Where is the pin located on the stock? Could you drill a matching hole from the other side and drive it out? Might need to drill slightly oversized hole so it lines up. This would depend on where/how it's located.

 I'm sure you know more about the science of the shot than I do. It's true though... each year she felt fine, got the shot, got sick within a couple days (maybe not actual flu sick but made her feel horrible for several days). She made the decision not to get it anymore last year and didn't get the flu. I made the decision for myself because IT'S A SHOT! :) I hate shots. Plus I haven't had the flu in at least a decade (fingers crossed so I don't jinx it :) ) I'm in airports and airplanes all the time for my job rubbing shoulders with everybody, so I've aquired a pretty strong resistance maybe. It works for me. How effective is the nasal immunization?
-
Nope. My wife used to get it every year..... and get sick from it every year. I had better luck by washing my hands often and trying not to touch my face. I never get the shot and won't this year either.
