  1. I think code dictates they open in for fire escape reasons, so might have to switch them back to sell. Probably would be harder to force entry with them turned around though. Maybe installing a good locking storm door would also slow down a kicked in door.
  2. Thanks for the input. I was actually looking at the rifle for a gift for someone else and needed to keep it under a budgeted amount. I have a Savage 110, and I was looking for another one similar when I ran across the mossberg. I may just keep looking for a 110 or an 11 at a good price ($280 range). I found my Savage 110 with a scope at a pawn shop a few months ago for $269. If only I could find that deal again!
  3. Yeah but in the witnesses' defense, those lines get blured sometimes :) Plus, how could you tell under the burka?
  4. I haven't been able to watch or read anything about his today other than here. Do the police/press conferences seem to be leaning towards terrorism at all today or are they still shying away from it?
  5. The Bible has not changed, and it does not evolve. I am basing my comments about Islam and Christianity from the TEACHINGS of these two books not what some "Christians"/"muslims" have done or said. The Bible teaches love. The koran teaches kill the unbelievers. Are you saying that islam will evolve so that the koran will teach different ideas and actions?
  6. I believe you've confused apples with oranges. Islam TEACHES them to kill us. Christianity TEACHES love thy neighbor. I get tired of people blaming muslim murder on Christians, republicans, etc.
  7. It could go either way at this point depending on the details. They also said earlier that police were looking at weather the "argument" was a diversion of some sort, but he didn't mention that during the briefing. I sure hope they don't chalk this up to workplace violence because the antis would love that fuel.
  8. Does anyone have any knowledge (or opinons) about this rifle? I saw one for cheap in 300WM, but I'm curious if it's a decent rifle. I usually look at Savage if I don't want to pay a lot but how about the mossberg?
  9. Only when it rains? Sounds like it might be a belt slipping when it gets wet. Maybe check the tension and condition of the belts. That's my best guess anyway
  10. Just announced that the Joint Terrorism Task Force is officially involved. Seems to be the way they are going to handle it.
  11.   That's my problem with them too. I've come to the conclusion that there is no such thing as a peaceful muslim. There are muslims that follow the quran and kill people and muslims that haven't done it yet.   I think it's pretty telling that muslims are holding a conference. They already know it's islam related even if our own government is too weak spined to say it.
  12. Second suspect just named. Muslim name from Qater.
  13. Muslims from CAIR are having a press conference now. Begging us not to blame all muslims. Too bad they don't start begging muslims to stop killing innocent people.
  14. Quoting myself, lol. Fox news just mentioned this guy and said his father said he's a devout muslim
  15. Don't know how accurate... http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2015/12/02/police-id-suspect-in-san-bernardino-massacre-as-syed-farook.html
  16. Just what I was thinking. Report that I read, the witness claimed the 3 shooters were wearing masks and body armor. Sounds coordinated
  17. Good ideas here. I'm going to get some of those wedge devices especially since I travel a lot. The problem with my house is so many windows. The front door is mostly glass, next to the big dinning room window. The back doors are all double french glass doors, etc. I wasn't very security conscience when we bought the house. I awoke from my blindness soon after moving in and realized how vulnerable this house was. I have secured it best I can, but so much glass makes it difficult.
  18. I have a Sparc, a 1-4x20 PST and now a Spitfire. I'm a Vortex fan. The Sparc: I've used it quite a bit for 3gun. It is daylight bright and has held zero great. I have no complaints with it. I think I've had it about 3 (maybe 4) years(?) and replaced the battery twice. The PST: Super clear scope. I've used it at 3gun as well, but the illumination cannot be seen in bright daylight (doesn't bother me because the etched reticle is always visible). This AR and PST combo will shoot sub MoA groups at 200yds. One of my best purchases in optics The Spitfire: I just got it on sale at PST for $149. It feel and looks very solid. The red and green are both bright and clear outside in the daylight. I havn't shot it yet, but I think I will really like it. I've heard good things about the PA but never tried one myself.
  19. I ordered a Vortex Spitfire red/green dot for an AR that was naked. Got it from PSA for $149 shipped.
  20. I just ordered the BX2. Great price right now. What spotting scope is good for out west?
  21. I want to do something similar with our driveway when we build on our land. Did you hard wire the alarms? Doesn't seem like wireless would work that far. Some alarms behind a gate and a fence filled with angry attack llamas is what I want at the new place :)
  22. You think they lost and turning around or up to no good?
  23. Yikes. Get home safe Willis

  25. There was some question whether they came in with refugees or if they were home-grown... http://www.foxnews.com/world/2015/11/20/france-pm-says-paris-attacks-ringleader-used-migrant-crisis-to-get-into-country/
