  1. Also, I think they pay like $7 per 1000 views if it's setup to earn $$
  2. I'm trying to understand what this will mean regarding trusts. I've been planning to get one to buy a silencer (or three). How does this change that... Just have to do a background check?
  3. Wow what a way to end the season. I hate that when you think a deer is about to step out and it turns out to be people. Bummer I saw a flock of turkeys while sitting in the treestand, and that has me pumped for spring :)
  4. I saw it. It was nice to see some familiar characters, but I was unimpressed with the story line.
  5. Thanks for the update. Sounds like I need to hit the woods
  6. I don't have any more antlers laying around ATM, so I need to find some sheds first before I can start training my dog. Lol
  7. Good to know! Thanks. This weather really has been crazy. The tree I was sitting in the other day had buds on it.
  8. When is the best time to start looking for them? February? What is the best technique to find them? I have a hound dog that I have intended to train as a shed hunter but haven't got around to it yet. Anyone train a dog to find them?
  9. I use a Summit Viper SD. I love it. It's easy to pack in and out, comfy and stable. I sat in mine this evening. I can sleep in it real easy too :) For bowhunting, I adjust the seat high so that the bar is not in my way. For gun hunting, I adjust the seat to hang lower so that I can use the bar for a shooting rest. It's a great stand. I got a Hunter Safety Sytem lightweight safety harness to use instead of the one that came with it. Although, the one provided is not that bad. Just attach the safety harness from the moment you leave the ground.
  10. I spent the day with the wife. We also went to the range and shot a variety of guns. Fun, relaxing day!
  11. You'll love having her. Hounds are so smart and fun. You won't have to worry about and racoons, possums, etc wondering into your yard at night :) Mine went out to pee a couple nights ago and treed a possum in the back yard. It was 1am. Yeah, the neighbors love us
  12. Awesome! We ended up getting small diameter bowls for my redbone hound because he would drag his ears too  The tips of his ears were always wet, so the smaller bowl keep his ears out, lol. Also when our redbone develops a stinch the we can't get rid of it's usually his ears. We have an earwash and antibiotic from the vet that clears it right up if needed. Hounds are prone to ear dirt, infection, etc because they drag them on or near the ground while sniffing. So, the earflush might help.
  13. Happy New Year all!!!
  14. I saw 5 or 6 standing along side I75 near Royal Blue about 3 years ago. They were awesome to see, but I was glad they stayed out of the road.
  15. So you have no trouble getting .360 out of the RCBS? Do you have to size it down to that or the mold just gives it to you?
  16. I picked up a Marlin 336 in 35 Rem for cheap (I'll post a pic soon). It has a fixed power Nikon Prostaff. The exterior shows quite a bit of wear. This gun has definately seen time in a pickup truck and/or a treestand. The action is smooth and the bore looks clean though. I'm hoping it's a good shooter. I actually like the worn finish because that means I can just enjoy hauling up a tree without babying it. My question is about casting and reloading. I have discovered that factory ammo for this is more scarce than 22 was. What's you favorite load for the 35 remington? Which one of these two molds should I get? http://www.midwayusa.com/product/319002/rcbs-2-cavity-bullet-mold-35-200-fn-35-caliber-358-diameter-200-grain-flat-nose-gas-check http://www.midwayusa.com/product/573077/lee-2-cavity-bullet-mold-c358-200-rf-38-special-357-magnum-38-colt-new-police-38-s-and-w-358-diameter-200-grain-flat-nose-gas-check )
  17. My mom has a couple of this brand. Good quality and holds her LCR tight in a separate area. http://guntotenmamas.com/
  18. I picked up an older Marlin 336 in 35Rem and an older 3-screw Ruger Single Six 5.5" a few days before Christmas for myself :) I gave the gift of Vortex optics to my dad, but no guns changed hands this year. Odd
  19. Merry Christmas!
  20. PSA has the Vortex Spitfire back on sale for $149. I ordered one back on black friday. I liked it so much for the price, I wanted another. They were regular price ($299 i think) when I tried to order the second one. I emailed them asking if they would be back on sale. Yep... available again right now for $149 :) http://palmettostatearmory.com/vortex-spitfire-1x-prism-scope-with-drt-moa-reticle-spr-1301.html
  21. Also... http://www.virginia.org/contactus/
  22. We didn't get it as bad as expected here in the east. Getting some thunder and a lot of lightning now. My redbone coonhound actually woke me up crying outside my bedroom door. He's scared, lol. I opened the door, and he jumped in the bed CRYING like a hound dog :( I guess he's sleeping with us tonight. Cries if we don't console him. The kids are fine but not the dog. He's our hound chicken
  23. I think the gen4 finger grooves are less pronounced than the gen3 or SF frames. I've seen people carefully eliminate the finger grooves with dremel, and that's what I'll probably do when I finally get a G20.
  24. http://www.foxnews.com/us/2015/12/17/pal-san-bernardino-terrorists-arrested-on-federal-charges.html paragraph #4 gives me another good reason for an AR in the truck plus a few mags. They were going to stop traffic on the hwy, then shoot people in their stranded cars.
