  1. Thanks! I never get up near Clarksville, but that's super cool of you to offer :) Did you have factory length bbl in your 20 or 6"?
  2. I have the bigger one. Works great! Use it mostly duck hunting. I want to get one of the single burners to mount in my badboy buggie.
  3. Yeah, I'd definately like the load data. Thanks. I'll check the stores tomorrow for some 800x
  4. That's a sweet looking food plot you have
  5. My situation may be similar. It's a powerline that runs across one side of my property and goes across a ridge. The area that is the most secluded is sloped to one side, so there is some erosion. It is also somewhat rocky, but not too bad. There is some tall grass that grows there now. Instead of killing it before planting, I wonder if I should just mow it short, disc, seed, etc. The existing grass has to be helping with erosion
  6. Thanks! I'm going to do that
  7. I just got my G20, and I am going to reload for it. I'll be looking to load it hot and heavy as a woods gun with HC bullets. I have a bunch of Unique and 700x, but I want to try something else. Sounds like 800x and AA7 are good choices.
  8. Well, I took the new 20 out for a test drive yesterday. It ran great as expected! I just shot it bone stock with factory 200gr FMJ. I punched out the center with the first shot. It felt great, and I really enjoyed shooting it. No issues with just 50 rounds. I'll put it through the paces when I have more time. I'll post a pic when I get one since that's the "rule", but it's a glock :) I have a Safariland ALS OWB holster for it now. That will work for woods carry, and I plan to try a shoulder or chest holster at some point or when I'm on the tractor.
  9. Same here... never heard of her and don't care enough who she is to even look it up. The sad thing is she probably influences a bunch of people out there
  10. Thanks Omega. I'll be planting a powerline on a ridge. What kind of prep work did you do for the clover?
  11. I saw two bearded ones this morning. I'm already getting fired up for the spring season. I have the equipmemt and the land, just need to figure out what to plant. What grows if planted this time of year that turkeys like? I see kale and raddishes can be planted now... I know deer like that but what about spring turkeys?
  12. Well, I intend every year to get some food plots growing for deer and turkey, and I never get to it. This year I want to make time for it. I'm already looking forward to turkey season! It's my next favorite hunt after ducks. Question is... Is there anything I can plant now or improvements I can make to my land now that will help my chances come turkey season? March is out for me because I will be really busy and traveling. I need to do this in Feb if I can. We have a flock that hangs around, but they get slippery when the season opens. Last time I planted buckwheat before the season, and they ate all the seeds everyday until the day before the season opened. Then they disappeared after opening day  I have a narrow powerline on top of a ridge and some woodland roads that I can plant. Otherwise it's all wooded hills. Caught some big toms on camera last year, and saw the flock from my deer stand in November a few times. Looking forward to the season!
  13. O'reillys rents tools like that. Don't know if they have exactly what you need though
  14. Thanks everyone! Great info. Nice looking holster, Spots. I'm definately going to give this carry method a try. A chest rig is a great idea, too. I think it would be nice to have it off my belt while riding ATV, tractor and hiking
  15. Who uses one? I've never used or owned one, but I'm thinking about adding one to my collection. I've got a G20 coming to carry around on my land. Most of the time I will carry it OWB strong side, but I think it might be useful to have a shoulder rig under a light jacket from time to time. I don't know much about them, but I see there are two types: vertical and horizontal. The horiz seems like it's constantly pointing a chambered gun at the person behind you, so I am leaning vert. Anything else I should look for in choosing one? Are there any good but cheapr ones?
  16. I'm really surprised some innocents didn't get killed during all that. I thought that's why God made hellicopters and airplanes. Glad they got him... hope he's still in jail.
  17. Thanks. I just ordered a ss gr with 22# spring. Night sights are next...
  18. I didn't even realize Storm Lake is a TN company. They're less than an hour from me, I'll order from them.
  19.    Do you use a gen 1-3 style ss guide rod/spring or the double gen4 style?
  20. Thanks leroy. I'm going to go ahead and order some Underwood. Guess I should also get a barrel to shoot the hard cast loads. I like the Big Dot sights too. I have the Ameriglo Pro i-dot on my 17. I like them, but I might give the TFOs a shot. Do you have the factory recoil spring in yours?
  21. I am finally getting a G20 gen4 :) What upgrades and ammo should I be looking at? This will be mostly a woodsgun, so I want to shoot the "real-deal" heavy loads. How is Underwood 200gr (at least until I get some 10mm dies)? Mainly I'm curious about the spring/guide rod. Should I be looking at a 22# spring? Where can I find a dual gen4 style 22# spring? Everything I see online is the the single spring setup. I'm considering the Truglo TFO green/green sights for this one, but I've never used them before.
  22. Wow. Creepiest thing I've ever seen
  23. Gen2 G19 is the best handling Glock ever made IMO. Congrats on a great carry gun!
