300 BO pistol build. Suppressor?
Wingshooter replied to Wingshooter's topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
I like the Griffin Recce 7 Mod3 too. Any advice on that one? -
Cool trip. I would definately take the Redhawk if it's not scoped. It's born for that kind of duty. Heavy, HC bullets for bear defense.

300 BO pistol build. Suppressor?
Wingshooter replied to Wingshooter's topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
I just got my trust recently, so I'm about to order one. I'm leaning YHM Phantom Ti 7.62 QD or their ULT model. The ACC SDN6 is also very tempting, but I prefer the YHM QD mounting system. Those are the ones I have found in stock. The Phantom Ti is slightly larger but rated to 300WM. The other two are rated to 308. I would get the ULT, but I have a 30-06 I thought about threading. Just trying to decide if it's even worth it to suppress 30-06. This is primarily for my 300bo anyway -
300 BO pistol build. Suppressor?

Hahaha.... I was googling some info about silencers and 300BO, and I found a result that looked interesting. I clicked it, and what do you know... it's this thread I started a couple years ago that I forgot about. Lol -
I guess he's using handloads.
-
Definately some holes in his handling skills

Most of my guns lately have been coming in the mail... a piece at a time :) EBRD My wife's pretty understanding, and she's bought me 2 or 3 pistols as a surprise in the past.

Has anyone used this tool to press the front trunion? http://www.ebay.com/itm/AK-FRONT-TRUNNION-PRESS-FIXTURE-barrel-support-gun-smith-kit-building-tool-47-74-/361527811613?hash=item542cbc9e1d:g:ycoAAOxyVaBS58gY It's cheaper than the others I've seen but doesn't look as adjustable. Any other suggestions?

Opinions of S&W M&P Shield 9mm for concealed carry
Wingshooter replied to Jenny1234's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
My brother has a 9mm shield and loves it. I have shot it and really liked it, too. I would probably get one if I didn't already have a Glock43 and PF9. The PF9 is brutal though, lol (why I got the G43). You'll love the Shield I'm sure. -
The super-easy way (not necessarily the correct way) to fix it is to cut a stringer for each side that matches the old one, dig out a little under the bottom step, jack it up where it needs to be, and attach the new stringer to the outside of the old one with lag screws (basically doubling it up). That will "fix" it for a while. It wouldn't be hard or take too long to do it the right way though

What 30cal can and who does layaway?
Wingshooter replied to Wingshooter's topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
Good info. I'm still shopping around, but I'm ready to buy. I like the QD attachment on the YHM... more of a direct thread onto the QD brake than a collar with a ring that has to be locked. The particular AR that I want to use it with has a handguard that ends near the end on the bbl. I think my handguard will interfere with me turning a locking ring. That's why I like the design of the YHM QD attachment. This will go on an 8.5" AR, so the Phantom Ti is very appealinng because of the weight. -
Building a 8.5" 300BO AR pistol. Radical Firearms barrel?
Wingshooter replied to Wingshooter's topic in Handguns
Thanks for the additional info on the barrel! I have put a few hundred through mine so far. Haven't shot it as much as I want to, but it's been flawless so far. I have the 8.5". I have a cheap adjustable gas block. It fits well under my handguard, and I can access the adjustment screw through a slot in the hanguard. I haven't put any subs throught it yet. I just got my trust, so I will be getting a suppressor for it soon. Here's my build... http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/87812-my-first-ar-pistol-300bo/ -
Dwight is probably pulling for Eugene to get the bat... since he's a bitter and all ;) :bat:

I just remembered that Glenn stopped to look at that wall during the savior raid with all the polaroids of negan's head-bashing. Plus we've seen first-person through his eyes before on the dumpster when Nicholas turned and said, "thank you." And... wasn't glenn next to get the bat to the head in Terminus? (multi-season Foreshadowing maybe?) Hmmm.

For me personally, I would send the gun back to Century as they agreed to accept it. Then, I would immediately file a dispute with the credit card co. The product was defective, the vendor refused to make it right, and the manufacturer acknowledged the problem. At that point, you no longer even have the product in your possesion. I feel confident the CC company would credit your money back. I'd let them hash it out with Prepper Guns. Then PG can hash it out with Century. Meanwhile, I'd be shopping for another one with my refund. I know that model is hard to find in stock though, but...

By leaving it up for speculation like they have, the writers almost get the benefit of killing off a major player without actually having to do it (Well, for a few months anyway). What I mean is they can have the audience believe Negan killed Daryl or Glenn, then only to reveal it was Aaron or someone else. Daryl brings so much to the show, I think it would be boring without him blowing a gang up with an RPG or clearing a room with a crossbow. Killing Daryl, Abraham, Maggie, Rosita or Machone would be a let down for me. I'd prefer Glenn not get the bat, but I could accept that.
-
Wow. That's terrible. I agree that the most disappointing thing is the lack of customer service by the store to make this right. You said the credit card is more receptive now. Why not push them to refund your money and stop payment to Prepper Guns? I bet they'll take it back then if the CC will reverse the charges. You received a product that you can't use.

He said he plans to put them to work. I guess it depends on what kind of work (or trouble) he expects from each one. He may have other plans for the women, so I agree he probably wants to keep them for now. Abraham confronted him a little by leaning up to look him in the eyes, so he might have clubbed Abe for the reason you stated. However, the writers have a habit of making you think something has happened to one member, but it turns out to be someone else.

This probably isn't the solution you're looking for, but I have something similar to this for my boat. Converts the heavy guage wire and 50amp plug down to a standard wall outlet. I'm sure there's a cheaper and more efficient way to do it for your particular application though since you would need 2 male plugs and 2 pigtails. There has to be a better way. http://www.amazon.com/Conntek-14422-Pigtail-Adapter-Connector/dp/B002IZJD5S

I went back and watched the ending again. The line up from Negan's left to right perspective was: glenn rosita daryl michone abraham maggie rick sasha aaron carl eugene. To me, he appears to move to the right from rick. That would indicate sasha, aaron, carl or eugene if he actually moved that direction. It seems carl is out becasue of the refernce to cutting his other eye out and feeding it to rick. I guess they could still do that even if carl got the bat, but doesn't seem likely. I also keep thinking about the blockades on the road. There was a lot of reference that rick should be extra nice to the people in the RV because you don't know if it's their last day on earth. If that holds true as foreshadowing, Glenn and Daryl wern't in the RV. Aaron would be an easy way out all while still leaving the audience "suffering" with suspense till next season. Aaron could be a win-win for the ratings and writers.

Awsome knife. Sorry about your uncle. When my grandfather passed away, I thought about refininshing his rifle. Then I realized that I'd be pulling all of the character out of it that he put into it. I left it as is, and I enjoy it more that way. Just something to consider before you refinish the knife. Those marks are character marks, and it looks great. I could see polishing the blade, but I couldn't bring myself to take it a part. Your choice though, but I thought I'd mention it.
