41P Update - November 2015

Dangit! The suppressor I want came back in stock late last night at silencershop. I went to order it few mins ago, and they're already sold out again! :wall: -
WHAAAT!?! You may have just elevated the severity of my EBRD.

I know someone that has a nice 7600 in 30-06. It's a sweet and handy deer rifle. Pretty accurate, but the recoil seemed a little stout next to my 30-06 I was shooting that day. Mine weighed a bit more though (sporterized 1903 with scope). I don't know why we don't see more pump rifles. I don't know if I would ever go looking for one personally over my bolts, semi's and levers, but they are kind of a nice alternative to a lever.

I ordered that tool I linked to. It looks like it will work well. I have access to a 20ton press. I think I'm going to get the Toth Tool to squeeze the rivets, or.... is there a better way with the press?

I think I'm leaning towards Griffin Recce7 or the Optimus. I just wonder if the Optimus is a jack of all but master of none  it sounds good on the video though. I can't find either in stock, so I'm stuck looking at the pics on the web for now, lol. I haven't seen the Alpha yet. I'll have to look into that one also -

Watching this made me think of Marvin getting shot in the back seat of the car by Vincent Vega in Pulp Fiction. Lol

That's pretty cool

I would keep the AC and DC systems seperate. In addition to the safety concerns, keeping them seperate will allow you to use your DC system routinely to check it's function and enjoy it's benefits without going to the effort of altering your existing AC circuits. I plan to install a solar/battery system in the house we are about to build. It will sit on the top of a hill in the middle of 35 wooded acres, so it will be a secluded location. I want to have a bank (or banks) of batteries with a couple of inverters that can power a small refrigerator, coffee maker, emergency radio and a fan. I also want to be able to charge my handheld HAM radio, cell phone, rechargable flashlights and lanterns, and cordless drill (good one Dirtshooter). I also want to have some LED lights like you linked to direct wired to a battery bank installed in the kitchen and living room. Good thread

You could always carry like Carol and have a full auto up your sleeve

J frame (or LCP) + belly band = As crazy as it may sound, a belly band has become my favorite method 90% of the time. I can easily conceal anything from a small 380 to a G19 in as little as gym shorts and a T-shirt. Even with jeans, my gun is independant from my pants/belt, so there is no sagging or printing. It took a little while to get used to, but I like it now. I have some really nice holsters, but they don't get as much use. I carry at about 4:00 position and low on the hips. A j frame or something like an LCP would be completly invisible in a belly band with a tux, and it would be just as accessable as if it were in an IWB holster. Plus it keeps your undershirt tucked in :) That's how I'd roll.

Does anyone remember that movie years ago where at the end it shows bills floating around with hillary's picture on it? "Escape From LA" maybe??

gunsmith problems - Opinions on what i should do
Wingshooter replied to 22magnim's topic in Gunsmithing & Troubleshooting
Attourney letter and small claim action will definately get the job done and may be necessary. I'd go that route, too. I think I would also try the more immediate route of getting a personal number for the guy though so I could call him often just to say, "hey buddy, where's my stuff?". Spokeo shows an additional US Cellular number and AT&T landline in addition to the Verizon Wireless business number listed. Just an idea to get n touch... -
Hmm. Wonder if they will ban $20 bills in schools, govt buildings, CA and NY, lol.

Wow, that stinks. I've never heard of the company, but a search turned up a BBB complaint. This site also claims his FFL is expired http://firearm-dealers.gearsuite.com/l/19699/Richardson-Bradley-Eric I bet with a little digging you could turn up his personal cell number or someone that knows him -
