  1. that's what paperless statements are for
  2. Sweet! Forgot about Ebay, and it's great for that kind of stuff.
  3. Good find I don't see them for the rifle length though
  4. I've been wanting to do a kit for years and hint about one every Christmas It's not at the top of my list, but it's definitely on there. Interesting thread. Anyone have some pics of some finished kits they'd like to share?
  5. Yeah. Merino long johns, handwarmers and a hot thermos will be priority for me
  6. I'd like to do a retro build someday also. Can you still get the triangle hanguards anywhere at an affordable price?
  7. I'll try some of those soon. Thanks
  8. I held the LCPii at GT down around Chattanooga. It was alright, but I'd still get the original one. The original just feels better to me
  9. How does the aging process work? I'm assuming there's a fine line between aging and just leaving meat out to spoil (?). I want to process mine this year if I happen to actually find a deer in the woods, lol. I've done the processing before but don't know how to properly age it.
  10. I havent been in a week, but I'll probably get after it again this weekend. I haven't seen ONE deer since muzzleloader started!!! They're all wearing camo or in their underground bunker I think. It got frustrating. Even the cameras went cold. I'm wondering if they packed up and headed for more water because of the drought, so maybe there'll be more activity this weekend since we finally got some rain. good luck!
  11. My grandfather's guns are beat up pretty bad cosmetically because he used them as hunting tools just about every day. They really need to be restored, but we decided that would remove the handling marks that he put on there. His hands held the stock, worked the bolt and pulled the trigger. They function just fine, but refinishing them would only erase the character that he gave them, so no way will I ever refinish my grandfather's guns. Your grandfather's guns appear to be in much better shape and more collectible. Personally, I would leave them alone for sure and enjoy them as they are. Sorry for your loss
  12. My wife thinks I'm watching , but I'm really on my phone or iPad posting on here
  13. Glad to help I hope it's the right advice for you, but that's what I would do.
  14. I'd keep the 308 if you can't have both. Especially since you say "it's the only serious caliber rifle I own." 5.56 can be a serious caliber too for some criters, but what happens when grizz starts to migrate to TN The 308 has a much wider range of definsive/offensive capabilities against everything in TN. With 3 acres outside the city limits, I think a 308 is required equipment lol. Personally, I'd keep that Saiga and consider selling something else if you're itching for an AR.
  15. UPS delivered it today! It's a nice case. Good value for the price. I might have to build a new AR for it now just to live in this case in the truck in between range sessions.
  16. Sounds like too many variables. I wouldn't accept the liability.
  17. I didn't know we had a "Long Post" forum J/k Welcome back
  18. Not sure why I don't remember or how I missed the pizza thread The homo one was epic for sure
  19. Does Tapatalk show you ads?
  20. I like it!
  21. I still haven't decided which AR I prefer keeping in the truck though... 5.56 or 300bo. They get to alternate duty time
  22. My good jeans aren't Levis because others fit me better, but I do have a couple of old pairs of Levis that I wear chopping wood, working around the barn, etc. I wonder if they object to the Glock 20 hanging on them, lol.
  23. Thanks
  24. Perfect
