  1. Been watching it. It's a good interview. Donald Jr. is a legit 2A supporter and shoots weekly competitions.
  2. Hum. Ineresting
  3. I don't get that either unless it's in bad repair and they think they may have trouble getting it started again. Otherwise, it's a pointless fuel burn and theft risk.
  4. The only reason I would want to leave a vehicle running is if I was having trouble getting it started again (weak battery, bad starter, etc.). That's not the case though, and I'd fix it if it was. Our Yukon has the remote start feature, and I love that in the mornings I have to lock the doors first, and it won't drive without the key. My truck does not have remote start, so I have to go outside anyway Why is it illegal to let it warm up in your driveway?
  5. Mine too. She seemed a little irritated that I was just talking about the SAA revolver I want because she just bought me a gun for Christmas. I explained that I already have my next 5 or 6 planned out. As soon as I get one, I'm already thinking about the next, lol. There's probably a support group
  6. I was about to order the one made by the glock store, but I haven't tried one yet
  7. A gen5 will be the best yet... if they make it JUST LIKE that gen2 Gen2's are my favorite
  8. Just trying to decide if I want a 4-5/8" bbl or 5.5" I have a Ruger SBH in the 4-5/8 and 7.5" and a Ruger single six in 5.5". It's a tough call, but I think I'll go 5.5 with his one.
  9. Even does can stomp you. That'd be a little embarassing to get beat up by a doe though, lol. If this ever happens to me, I sure hope no one is running video!
  10. I really like the new features! Site looks and works great.
  11. Well I dug up my old thread because I have the single action itch again. I never did get one because I kind of got on a black rifle and silencer kick there for a while , but I'm better now. I'll start out with a clone in 45LC with 5.5bbl until I save up the funds for a Colt This one? https://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/411539902 or this one (when it's back in stock)? https://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/411553504/A+UBERTI+345075+EL+PATRON+5.5.45+CC
  12. I sent them an email just inquiring about the status of their layaway program. It sounds like you have to be a TB paid member to get the benefits of layaway, but not every firearm is available for layaway. Here was their response to my email with a link to more explaination: Thank you for contacting BudsGunShop.com!Our layaway program has changed. For customer feedback, as well as a statement from the President of Buds, please see: http://forum.budsgunshop.com/index.php?threads/how-come-the-layaway-program-went-away.10/Kindest regards,BudsGunShop.com
  13. I usually send payment via ACH check to avoid the cc fee if I'm doing layaway (like you said... not in a hurry). Except the last time I had a birthday gift for someone else nearly paid off via ACH check, but I waited too long to send the last payment to get it in time. I used the cc to get it on time and ended up paying the fee for all of it. That was my mess up though. The cc fee doesn't bother me really. It's this TB membership you have to join now to take advantage of the layaway that gets me. Petty complaint, but they've monkeyed with my method, lol.
  14. You're right... not many other industries have a cc/cash pricing system. I suppose if they every do away with it, they will just charge the higher price across the board. How do you like Grab-A-Gun? I've looked at a couple items there before, but I've never placed an order.
  15. I've used Buds layaway program a few times since they introduced it. Lately I've noticed that items are only available for layaway if you are a "Team Buds" member (yearly fee). Has anyone else signed up for this? Add credit card fee, yearly membership fee, transfer fee and the margin of saving shrinks. I don't know why I'm so put off by this fee because I usually don't complain about such things, and it's really not a lot of money. I understand that there might be some cost of labor to put an item on layaway, but I guess I'd rather pay a small fee per transaction than a yearly fee just in case I might want to use layaway the next time I did have an item in my cart a few minutes ago to place on layaway until I learned I coudn't unless I joined the "Team". I just deleted it. That's the second time I've done that in two months, so I guess Buds really is saving me money I guess I just needed something to complain about, lol. I am curious though, is anyone else using Buds less because of the "Team Buds Only" layaway?
  16. Fox offered her $20M/yr to stay... wow. I'd work 1/2 a year and "retire" I like watching her show, but I enjoyed it more before the haircut
  17. Bring it. I'm ready
  18. Yes. Here's a thread that helped me make that decision. I've not had any evidence of leading yet. I may get an aftermarket at some point for the fun of it, but the stock bbl has been fine and EXTREMELY accurate.
  19. My congestion is lingering, but I finally feel like getting out of the house. First time since Christmas eve. Hope ya'll feel better!
  20. I agree if it's teotwawki or similar. I like hiding from the twisters though .
  21. That's why I put the comment out there... to get the yay/nay reactions Thanks for the advice. I haven't fully explored the idea yet, so that gives me something to research.
  22. So someone that is receiving benefits based on a physical disability and nothing under that section 12 should be unaffected by this? This does not pertain to me, but I do know someone with a physical disability that is concerned about it.
  23. Since we'll be doing a new construction, the thought has crossed my mind about burying a shipping container perpendicular to a basement wall and making it accessable from the basement and a hatch to the outside as well. Would serve as a root cellar/storm shelter/somewhat-secret storage room that is not under the house but is under the ground. If it was easily accessable from the basement, it would be more inviting to actually use during a weather event. I haven't put a lot of thought into the details, but it has crossed my mind.
  24. I'm not aware of any restriction against having more than one hunting weapon as long as they are both legal for the season and the game. Make sure you have the proper license too. I primarily enjoy bowhunting, but Occasionally I'll take a bow and a rifle with me to a particular deer stand during gun season just in case my dream buck wonders by outside of bow range. In your case though (no HCP, a rifle AND a defensive type handgun), I bet most TWRA officers would call it carrying. What it really is is up for debate, but you've already proved that some TWRA officers don't even know the 4" rule has been dropped. To error on the side of caution would be to carry just the rifle until you get an HCP. Technically speaking though it seems to be legal.
