I put Talon grips and Ameriglo Spartan sights on my 43. I like the rubber grips on it a lot. Here's a pic from my low-quality iPad camera.
-
the G43 is very close to the size of the PF9 and slightly shorter in the flush mount grip (holds one less round though): For those that like comparison pics, G43 vs PF9

I put Talon grips and Ameriglo Spartan sights on my Glock 43. I took a pic (not good quality with the old iPad):

My PF9 started dropping the mag too. I called Keltec, and they sent me a new mag release and spring no charge. They also offered to fix it for me if I wanted, but I chose to do it myself. That fixed the problem.

I didn't know they made a better trigger for the PF9. I carried mine for years. It always shot well, but the false reset on the trigger drove me nuts. I also wanted to put night sights on it, but I couldn't find anything other than some homemade ones on ebay I still have it, so I'll have to look into that trigger. I replaced it with the G43 as my carry gun though, and I couldn't be happier. I've compared the size of the 2 many times, and for me the glock conceals just as easily.

I like the stainless a lot. It has a Hogue grip and someone before me slicked up the action. It's a great shooter with the magna porting and a Burris 2x scope. It's my go-to deer gun if it is raining, because I can carry it with a chest holster under my rain jacket. My 4-5/8" Ruger is blued with the rosewood grips. It's completely stock and shoots great too. I carry it around the woods and farm sometimes. When I get my SAA, I'm going to get case hardend / blued here's a pic of my stainless ruger: Pic of the 2 SBHs and my single six:

I also came to the conclusion that I need both. The Ruger has the strength and durabilty to handle all weather and heavy loads. The SAA and clones have the smooth 4-click actions that makes them so fun to operate.

I don't have a .45 SAA (yet), but I do have a 7.5" Ruger SBH in 44mag. I think you're right on... the 45 with cowboy loads will be more fun even from a 5.5" than 44mag from the 7.5". The 44mag will be the hotter hunting load, although both should be adequate for TN deer. My SBH is a SS with a Mag-na ported barrel and scoped, so it weighs a good bit. The recoil on it is very manageable, and I have no trouble keeping it within a small plate at 100yds. I enjoy shooting my Ruger SBHs (I have a 4.6" and a 7.5" both in 44), but I can't wait to get the SAA .45LC for fun though.

Same for me about fitting my belt. The Shield is a fine gun, but the grip is taller than the G43 by one more round. That is the difference in printing / not printing for me. I can always carry an extended round spare mag for my G43, but I can never make the Shield smaller. I put rubber Talon grips on my G43, and it made a noticible improvement in the feel for me. I really like it.

I think it's great! -
I sure wish it was possible to chamber 9mm in my P3AT. There is nothing as easy or more comfortable than a wallet holster IMO. I use a Desantis in the back (wallet) pocket for the 380 when I can't do the 9.

This is my question too. If we can just get the 1911's to the CMP maybe the M9's will follow some day Just don't know if that will happen in my lifetime.
-
Enlarge it and call it a .45

I fought with a couple old chainsaws for years. I finally broke down and got a 250 Stihl 18". It's perfect for light-medium duty work around my place. My dad has had the same Jonsered saw for years (70's or 80's ?), and it's performed without much issue to this day. I'm a fan of both. If I had to buy another today, I'd get a Stihl (the one without the EPA kit).

Post the last firearm related thing you bought!

I've not been missed yet today? I'm hurt

It has coolness factor simply because it's a 1911. It needs cerakote to cover up all that bling though!

I almost bought a SAA clone a couple of times (Sportsmans Warehouse had a Cimarron Evil Roy .45LC). Sweet gun, but I decided to wait another payday and get an actual Colt. That's my next one... a new production 5.5" case hardened Colt SAA .45LC. After that I have it all planned out (order is yet to be determined) - Winchester 1873 .45LC (Buds has them in stock) - Ruger American bolt rifle .22lr threaded for my jailed silencer - Ruger SR22 threaded for my jailed silencer - after that maybe a 6.5 creedmoor bolt gun ?

I'll print the target and give it a try. Sounds fun

I had one climb the tree I was in this past season. I was in a Summit Viper climber, and he climbed the backside of the tree right past me! I won't lie, it made me a little nervous, and I was ready to fight, lol. He climbed all the way up into the branches above me and made all kinds on commotion. I don't think he knew I was there until he climbed past me, but then I'm pretty sure he cussed me out.

Single stack 9's are the sweet spot of IWB cc for me. I started with a PF9 several years ago. I still like it and have it, but now I carry a G43 most of the time. Occasionally I'll carry the G19 if it's convenient and I want more capacity than the G43.

That's terrible, and I hate to hear it. I haven't ran across anything that rings a bell from your list, but I'll print your list for reference and be on the lookout. Good luck!
