Get some raccoons, but then you have a new problem. Scarecrow that you put out when you're not there?

Going to pour a concrete shooting bench tomorrow
Wingshooter replied to seez52's topic in Show and Tell
Sucks that your vibrator petered out It's still a cool looking bench though. I'd probably fill the holes with some mortor and paint it. Looks good! -

QD brake for my 5.56 AR to attach my Rugged Surge 762 -
I have 10ply and have been inflating to the full 80 (max rated on the sidewalk) without issue. Stiffer ride than my previous stock tires, but that's the way I like my truck. Mine seem to get good ground contact all the way across with that pressure.

Same. Plus, if it involves poking a needle in me, count me out

Please school me on hog hunting in TN?
Wingshooter replied to SquidBilly's topic in Hunting and Fishing
That was the case, but TWRA changed it. https://www.tn.gov/twra/article/wild-hog-regulations -

I'm sure I'll be at the back of the line with the people going with me and stopping often to breathe, lol. I'll actually be carrying more weight than I need for 2 days. I'll be hauling most of my gear to prepare for a CO elk backpack hunt. I've been hiking around the east TN hills in order to gain confidence and condition myself for the hunt, but now I'm just really enjoying backpacking/hiking. I'd like to do 3 or 4 days someday on the Appalachian Trail. I live close enough that I need to enjoy those trails a little bit.

Anybody else gotta weedeat the whole yard before ya mow??
Wingshooter replied to Steelharp's topic in General Chat
Every time I see someone blowing grass into the street, I really want to stop and say "all you have to do is point the chute the other way!" Common sense is a rare thing these days. The front yard may look great, but the curb appeal looks like dead grass in the street, lol. -
Great info! Thanks

Hopefully it didn't cause any changes. I would just see how it does at the range. Did you take it back apart again and inspect the trigger parts?

Thanks! @conn_air7 are there any water sources on the way up? Which trail do you think has the best view? I know winter is probably a better time to go up because of all the vegetation, but we'll probably do it in August (unless it gets too hot). You see many bears in that area? Thanks!

It will be fine. I've had the same thing once before, and it's never had a problem functioning since.

@Steelharp you inspired me to get out and go mow my grass this evening I just finished up right before dark. I just mowed it Friday, but riding the JD around the backyard isn't so bad. If I were you, I would rather ride and mow it 2 (or even 3) times a week than weedeat an acre. -

We've lost mowers and other equipment over the last few years to tornados and hail. I learned the hard way -

Maybe buy, get the receipt, get it paid for, return it and add to the credit for something larger -

Do you fertilize? I'd stop that pronto. I experience something similar. I just raise the deck up and run over it quick. Then go back over it a second time. Still clumps up even with a mulching deck. The real fix for me is to just mow it every 3 days but who's got time for that?! Goats may be in my future... I wish I had this problem in my front yard though. Can't grow anything but weeds there it seems. -
I am going to hike up Big Frog mountain at the southern end of the CNF next month if we get a weekend that's not too hot. I will be backpacking and spending the night. I've never been up there. I hear there's bears, hogs and hillbillies. The ticks probably concern me the most though... hate them thangs! There are a few trails going up, but I'm not sure which one is the best. It looks like about 10 miles and +2000' gain. Has anyone hiked it? I'm just curious about the conditions, what to expect, etc. I'll take my G20 for company

Technically I bought it almost a year ago, but I just took possession of my 30cal can. Rugged Surge 762. On my TGO billet 300bo pistol: I need to get another hand guard because it won't fit properly with the SLR 8" On the Savage 110 30-06: -

Are you completely happy with your pistol choice?
Wingshooter replied to DWARREN123's topic in Handguns
I am very happy with my pistols in general, and I'm happy with my carry choices: Although I have good variety of pistols, I typically carry Glocks. The G43 with Talon grips and Ameriglo Operator night sights makes me very happy for summer concealed carry or deep concealment. the G19 with the same sights as the G43 is for the times I don't have to be as concerned about concealabity. the G20 with the same night sights as the g43 and g19 is my best friend when I'm in the woods. I carry it in a Safailand ALS OWB holster and load it with Underwood HC 200gn. oh, and I'm happy with my G17 for 3gun in a Safariland ALS OWB holster. You guessed it... same Ameriglo sights. I believe in commonality
