  1. Such an amazing airplane. Those CF34/TF34 engines are tough just like the airframe. Not many people get to fly one open-cockpit though.
  2. It looks like the grill may have launched through the roof and is now in orbit.
  3. People Eating Tasty Animals (PETA) Seriously, hunters are the biggest conservationists there are. I hunt AND love animals. I wouldn't kill an animal and leave it lay though. Without any real natural predators, just imagine how many deer there'd be running the streets of Nashville without "unnecessary" hunting. In an effort to stay on topic... @Volphin Canadian goose season opens Oct 14.
  4. Welcome back!
  5. M&P Shield is a nice gun in that price range
  6. A telescope works better
  7. Alright... who wants to try it?
  8. Sounds weird maybe, but I really like my G43 in Undertech holster shorts or a belly band at about the 0400 position. I can conceal it easily under anything... even workout shorts. It doesn't try to pull my pants down all the time and is super comfortable with the Undertechs. It also makes a tucked in shirt no problem on days I need to go more business. If not that, then a G19 in the Undertech or IWB with a crossbreed at 0400 If I'm in the woods or on the farm, it's a G20 in a Safariland ALS OWB at 0300 with 200gn HC Underwoods.
  9. Exactly right. A can should be an accessory. No different than a rail mounted laser, flashlight, muzzle brake, flash hider, red dot, scope, BUIS, etc...
  10. Hmm. Big recall coming up I guess..
  11. Yes. Charles Daly 20ga O/U field grade shotgun. My dad gave it to me when I was 10.
  12. Digging up an old thread, but that's an interesting link
  13. I have an old 1957 Ford 660 tractor. I can just see myself cruisin' down the road full speed That, plus bicycles are my planned method of local transportation. If I'm working, I may be states away, so maybe I could find a horse to get home months later I need to put my HAM handheld and some other things in a Faraday cage. There was a good thread on here years ago about how to build a DIY Faraday... I need to do some searching now.
  14. That's what I load up for one of my 30-06's. Good bullet
  15. Just one AK is a lonely AK... just sayin'
  16. Does it have exposed hammers or internal? Just curious if you cock it with external hammers or by breaking it open.
  17. I did a brief google search because I was curious if an EMP has ever been experienced. Seems Hawaii did during the Cold War. Starfish Prime was the name of the nuke test carried out by the US when we detonated a nuke in space over the South Pacific. Sounds like it wouldn't take much to wreak havoc if some terrorist group or rouge nation gets lucky with a nuke in space. Things weren't nearly as electrical/computerized then as they are now either. http://www.wearethemighty.com/articles/the-first-time-the-us-tested-an-emp-weapon-was-a-doozy http://blogs.discovermagazine.com/badastronomy/2012/07/09/the-50th-anniversary-of-starfish-prime-the-nuke-that-shook-the-world/#.WXFLY7EpChA
  18. When does it open?
  19. I think it is extremely unlikely that we'll ever see the grid go down across the whole country. I'm sure it's possible but very unlikely. I think it's much more likely that we could see a localized grid failure. However, if it's a serious crash especially in a high density area, I think the results could be felt across the country. There would be an immediate elevation in security, awareness and possibly panic in areas not even directly affected. Especially since EMP and grid failure has been talk up so much lately. There would be "refugees" from the damaged area and responders mobilizing to get power restored. There would be looting and rioting in the "dark zone", and resources across the country would be utilized to get things restored. Gas prices would skyrocket, the economy might crash as people across the nation pull out cash, grocery stores might get overwhelmed as people fear their next, and there would be government restrictions imposed. The degree to which the entire country is affected by a localized grid failure would depend on the severity, region affected, duration of outage, cause (terorism, etc.), media hype, government reaction and public perception. So, I don't think the whole nation will be put in the dark, but the whole nation could go off balance due to a regional outage.
  20. Bipod and gas block
  21. you can set my duck/goose hunting blind out. Ducks and geese traditionally avoid it like the plague
