  2. I think another posting of the pancake video is in order! YouTube - WTF Pancake Commercial

  4. +1 on that. I add Stabil to the gas for all my small engines. I never have a problem with them starting even after long periods of non-usage.
  5. My dad has a Stihl that has worked great since I was a kid. I picked up a used Homelite at a garage sale for $50 that has worked flawlessly for two years now, but I prefer the Stihl. Or you could go this route....
  6. Just herd some of those deer over here to the East.
  7. I know, it's irritating. Don't worry, though - they have mall cop(s)! I am thinking of sending an email to Sears to let them know why I now buy all my tools and lawn & garden stuff across the street at Lowe's. I already sent emails to the mall to let them know that I would be happy to resume spending money there as a customer and explained why I don't shop there anymore. It seems silly that a mall that is hurting so bad for customers would automatically exclude nearly a quarter of a million Tennesseans. The Marketing Manager seemed to be interested in how many HCPs are in TN, but I see the signs are still there. I don't shop, eat or get my hair cut there anymore. Since the whole parking lot is posted, I won't drop any friends or family off to shop either. If thy are going to keep those signs up, they can go out of business as far as I am concerned. I always carry, so I'm never welcome there.... Bradley Square Mall 200 Sgt. 8. Rumor? I heard mention of maybe Sean Hannity looking at running for FL Governor in 2010 so that he would have a shot at the White House in 2012. I don't know if there's any truth to that whatsoever, but I've heard it more than once. I think he's too far right for a lot of the country, but I would vote for him. If he takes up residence in FL then it might be believable. Corker would put people to sleep...
  9. Yep. By the time I quoted , it was gone! Now, I understand
  10. .
  11. The commander and chief.
  12. Who's yo daddy?!?!
  13. What does Obama know about working hard to accomplish something? All he did was use his race, party affiliation and a teleprompter to take advantage of the situation. He wasn't even a good senator. I know the planned text of this speech seems pretty harmless, but are they still planning on having students do this worksheet crap???
  14. Good thing they didn't attack!
  15. Maybe they wanted you to pet them... maybe a belly rub. I got a rangefinder this year as a gift. It's cool, but I hope it doesn't get in the way when I'm out in the woods.
  16. +1 to getting a cleaning kit. I clean my guns often (after every range trip if possible), but I don't get too carried away with it. If you just follow the manual's direction, get the crud off and put it away properly lubed, then you'll be fine. Now, blackpowder is a different story because it is very corrosive. My grandfather had a lot of guns. He shot them often - all the time, in fact. I'm pretty sure he didn't own a cleaning kit and never cleaned them - ever. When I got them, they were dirty, but they still shot fine. Some of these guns are 50 years old! Of course, I have since cleaned them . I don't recommend that approach by any means, but it always makes me feel comfort if I'm not able to clean one of my guns after every range trip. Unless you drop it in the mud or shoot some really dirty ammo, basic but frequent cleanings are enough, IMHO.
  17. Just turned it on.
  18. I heard that Bradley Co. will preview it first before showing it. Obama, you have been ! Personally, I just wish they wouldn't show it at all. I agree with what some of you have said. If he just wants to encourage hard work and education, then ok. The problem is, I don't trust him or his motives. It's not so much my kids that I worry about with this speech because I am raising them different than what Obama stands for. I can expose Obama's Socialistic tactics to my kids. What concerns me is the millions of other kids that will remember this speech as "truth" well into their grown-up lives. Tinfoil or not, this man is the likes of Jeremiah Wright and Bill Ayers. I'd prefer he stay out of the kids' heads. I'll be calling my kids' schools on Tuesday morning to get clarification on what they are planning to do. I may just take my two squirrel hunting...
  19. The North Cumberland WMA allows camping anywhere. It claims to be 140,000ac. It's just North of Knoxville (not sure if you want to drive that far?). I plan to do a camping/hunting trip there sometime this year. You won't find the biggest deer in TN there (except for the elk ), but I like to get off the beaten path sometimes. Most of the terrain is fairly steep. There are a lot of ATV trails, too. Edit to add: The hunting seasons follow the statewide seasons, and the WMA is open 24/7.
  20. Sometimes you just need a nap. Now you've got me searching "narcoleptic" on YouTube....
  21. It is my understanding that it is ok to pass through the park on a public road as long as your gun stays in the car. If you stay on the road and in your car, you don't have to unload and lock-up.
  22. I guess if you already have an AR (or 3 ) you could just use a lower that you already have when you want to shoot the crossbow. It's a cool concept, but I agree - I would rather have a dedicated crossbow with "normal" bolts if I wanted it for hunting. It is pretty cool, though.
  23. I was looking at a PM40 at a gun shop in KY earlier today. Wow, I liked the feel and size of it. It was $599 new. They didn't have any CW's. The PM40 might have to be my next purchase.
