  1. Why did it take you so long?
  2. True. He might be reluctant to throw her under the bus and risk the family getting upset with her. However, he might admit to respecting his wife's wishes if asked why he keeps his own gun in the truck. There's a reason his own gun is not inside.
  3. I agree 100% His wife could be behind it, and not necessarily directed at you. Maybe she's got a new "no guns in the house" rule or something like that. I'd let things stay normal between you guys and just ask him after some time has passed.
  4. I'm surprised that elephant he was riding didn't panic a little more. I guess if it was a charging mouse...
  5. I think the lion ate the bullet. I wonder how many post traumatic heart attacks that guy had.
  6. He either needs a bigger stick or a bigger elephant. Man, that tiger can jump!
  7. That's a nice looking holster! It may be too nice for my budget, though. I would definitely be interested in a holster like that depending on the price. This gun will only see use in the woods/field, and I can't spend a lot.
  8. Thanks. I'll bookmark that.
  9. I'm home sick today. I have a computer, photoshop and WAY to much time on my hands.
  10. Does anyone have any holster suggestions for a 4" Taurus Tracker .44mag? I am having a hard time finding one on the internet listed specifically for this model. I just need a good field holster for this gun. Any recommendations?
  11. The whole political correctness thing is out of control. Thanksgiving is an American holiday. Why does a group (muslims) get "protected status" just because they attacked us? It's also Day of Proclamation in Mongolia. It's Independance day in Suriname. It's Independence day in Albana and Mauritania. It's Republic Day in Chad. The list goes on..... The only recognition I will give Islam on Thanksgiving Day is to be thankful that I am not a part of it.
  12. The idea is to loose as much time as possible for a vote before the end of this session. If this bill drags out 'till next session in January, then some Dems may have a hard time voting for it in an election year. Reading it could drag it out or possibly help a senator or two see the light.
  13. I like watching Beck. It's nice to see someone else get angry and fired up about what is happening in our country. He calls it the way he sees it, and I like that.
  14. Maybe they are just late for Halloween.
  15. Cabin in Gatlinburg I'm not saying that I will never, under any circumstances disarm to go into a restaurant that serves, but it will be an exception rather than the rule.
  16. I don't think there is one size fits all when it comes to this. It depends on your priorities and goals at the time. The dating world is vastly different than married for a long time with a bunch of kids. I've been there, done that with the dating scene. Before I was married to my wife, she wouldn't have liked it either if I never took her out to a nice place. Now, she prefers to go home, save the money from a restaurant and enjoy a night at home as much as I do. She doesn't carry (still working on that ), but she likes it that I do. Neither one of us wants to leave a weapon in the car while we go inside. We are both on the same page when it comes to whether or not I will disarm. She travels with me occationally when I have to for work, and it's usually in a state that understands that guns don't self-destruct when under the same roof as alcohol. That is usually our together without the kids time, and I can still carry legally in whatever restaurant.
  17. Personal preference I guess. I'll choose carrying my gun over eating at Chili's any day. Don't get me wrong, I like Chili's. However, since they took the corn on the cob off of the Guiltless Chicken Platter, I've been disappointed. There are a lot of places to eat where I live, and I can find one (a good one) that doesn't serve alcohol. What I prefer is dinner at home - I like to know what I am 'really' eating. I like being able to defend my family if need be, but I also enjoy carrying my gun. I have a lot of hobbies and a life that includes other things. In fact, I usually have better things to do than hang out in a restaurant.
  18. Thanks for the restaurant names. What, you're not going to try them out so you can write a detailed reveiw? I'm pretty sure the food and service sucks. I know the management does. Sunset Grill, Nashville - Restaurant Reviews - TripAdvisor Sunset Grill - Nashville, TN, 37212 - Citysearch Thanks.
  19. I don't want to drag this thread off-topic at all because it is a good one, but what does it mean to be a liberal? If you agree with that letter, I would say that you are an American that wants a Constitutional approach to government. Welcome to the party! Let's get this country back by voting people in that actually believe in the Contitution. I just hope they don't force too much down our throats before 2010.
  20. Excellent! I am fed up as well. I no longer call / write my reps just from TN, I call / write a variety. Complete E-Mail Addresses for Congress/House, Senate, Governors & State Legislators If nothing else, you can remind them of how long 'till election day. It's time to make some noise, and stand up for this country.
  21. You could be right. I won't test it, but it seems a little unconstitutional for a lower court to trump the legislature and knock it back to square one. I just re-read the article. It is encouraging that Sen. Jackson mentioned introducing legislation next week to fix it. I'm hopeful but not holding my breath...
  22. We have some twisted minds in DC. I wonder what they're smokin' up there.
