I am also following these coyote threads. I am building a 5.56 AR carbine, and I plan to use it for yotes. Based on the info in some other threads, I think the .223 will be a great round for this purpose. Hopefully I'll have the remaining parts to finish my AR next week. I just built the weasel ball decoy from Al's Varmint web site, but I still need to get a caller.

My recommendation is to get your own PO Box while you are living with your parents. We lived with my parents for a couple of months until our new house was ready to move into and used their address. Because we had the same last names and the same addresses, our credit reports started displaying each others info. It was a big mess, and I wished that I had kept my own address with a temporary PO Box. Plus, you can still get your gun related mail. Just sayin'...

100 bucks... I like them. Do they have a good selection of guns at that pawn shop? I have never been there. I have an RG25, but that thing stove-pipes every shot. I have to clear it every time I pull the trigger. I would like to improve it's reliability. I never intend to use it as a carry weapon or anything like that, but it would be nice to get it to function properly. I have only tried Remington ammo bought from Walmart. Bad spring? Hotter ammo? I have cleaned it as much as I can, and it extracts just fine when I work the slide by hand. When it shoots it's pretty accurate, but it's the only gun I have that I do not trust.

Hmmm. I wouldn't want one of these for a personal vehicle, but I think they are kind of cool for a company. Gives a company a progressive and modern image. Although, it may look a little like a hearse.

I was burning time in a Walmart up in Northern KY a few weeks ago when I saw their Mini-14. I thought the tag said 489ish, but I could be wrong. It was just the basic wood, but after checking online prices just now I better get it if it's $489! I'll be up there again next week, and I'll have to step into Wallys to double check that price.

I think Walmart carries the Mini-14 for less than $500.

Good stuff in this thread! What is the best shot size from a 12ga? I know there are restrictions on WMAs, but what about private land? I would like to have a shotgun available in addition to my rifle... I need to put my 1100 back into service. It has the old fixed full choke bbl, so I have retired it from waterfowl hunting because of the steel shot.
