We The People had nothing to do with it (for or against). That's the whole point. We the majority of the people didn't want it. A few good things in there... a whole lot of bad. Enjoy the new fundamentally changed America.

You're absolutely right. Smith has a good question, though... what would be the final straw before people say "enough"? Maybe when DC interferes with our own existence at home the 'silent majority' will find its voice. At least it's not quite as silent as a year ago.

Don't know. Health care touches everybody, so I wonder if some of the other issues will be such hot topics. I hope the people stay in their face on the issues. Time for a 10 million man march on DC if you ask me. Peaceful but demand a few resignations and a veto of the new bill.

I really don't think the R's wanted this. I don't even think most of the D's wanted it, they just got threatened, paid, promoted, bribed, tricked, lied to and who knows what else (maybe Nancy threatened to wear a bikini ). They're mostly all scum, and time to clean house. There are a handful of R's that I still respect, but not many. However, i still much prefer the R party to the D party.

We can only hope that they don't try that until after November and with a non-filibuster proof House/Senate. Unfortunately, Obama is willing to pay them all off to get what he wants.

Hope the 2A doesn't get written out, or any of the others for that matter. I hope we can get it overturned in court and deliver a good spanking to the Progressives the next two Novembers. I think the states need to turn up the heat as well. Elect true Conservatives and honorable people to public office and hold them accountable at every election... that's what I am hoping for. Of course another way to stop this runaway train would require the unity of all Americans and involves the unconstitutional Fed income tax (I don't want to come right out and say anything illegal ). Tough to have a bunch of entitlements if there is no income.

I don't disagree about the games on both sides. However, this health care catastrophe couldn't have happened if the Dems would care more about the people, nation and what's right than they do about Obama's whacked out agenda. This isn't about the GOP. They are outnumbered - numerically irrelevant in this vote. Sure, they could have fixed it the right way years ago, but at least they didn't trash it.

Right now, I only see the Republicans standing up for this crime against the people. The vast majority of the Democrats rolled over. This would pass even if every republican did not show up for the vote. Obama and the Dems own this mess. The system is not perfect, but the Dems are severely out of touch.

I just hope they don't sweep this under the carpet before November. I am concerned that they might still have time to "sweet talk" the country causing this corruption to become a distant memory. I will not forget, but I don't live in a traitor's district. I want to watch some politicians get fired in November. The problem is, these un-American Pelosi puppets have been promised bigger and better jobs for their back stab. I would rather watch some of these politicians go to jail! We must not forget! The American people have to hold them accountable, or we are all in big trouble.

That's what my "deleted" post was about earlier in this thread. I noticed the same thing about his flip-flop position. I called his DC office and asked about it. The staffer this evening told me that Davis will vote against the bill, but some websites show him undecided because they are not returning calls from the various webs. That's their story anyway.... I guess we'll know soon.

I'm glad I read that AFTER I put them back in or I might have given up. The dumb thing is, the only reason I needed to remove the FSB is because my bbl wrench is not open-ended. Once I got everything put together, I put the original FSB back on. Nothing like extra work. Good experience though. Good advice. I tried the concrete floor and the bench. I almost hated those taper pins.

SWEET VICTORY!!!!!!! I dropped the hammer of Thor on those bad boys. Out they came and no damage to me or the AR. I just had to get mad.

I don't think my pins are going to come out. I traced the FSB onto a block of wood. I chiseled it out to make a nice sturdy cradle. I think my punch will bend first. Arrrrrrrrr!!!!!!

Sounds like we are doing the same thing. I just got back from Home Depot with some heavier punches. I drilled a 5/8" hole in two 2x4 blocks then cut them in half for a cradle. I sandwiched the barrel in between the blocks and clamped it to the bench. I also put a block under the front sight for support. I still can't get the dumb pins to budge.

Ok. I have a Bushmaster bbl with a standard front sight gas block. I want to remove it, but it looks easier on Brownell's website than what I am experiencing. I mean, those taper pins are not even budging! #2 roll pin punch on the left side, correct? Is there a trick to this? HELP...
