  1. I used to carry in KY a lot. Unless something has changed (check their current regs), it's similar to TN with less restrictions. It is a reciprocal state, and cc is allowed with your TN HCP. Recheck the 2 links listed above, and click on KY. Sent from my DROID X2 using Tapatalk
  2. Finding land to lease in TN is harder than any other state I have lived or hunted in. There are a lot of hunting clubs, but that's not what I prefer. What part of East TN? I usually hunt the WMAs and use google maps to "scout" for likely funnels and water holes away from the main trail. Sent from my DROID X2 using Tapatalk
  3. I bought a Hunter Safety System Treestalker vest for my dad. It's a little bulkier than what I thought, but it's not bad. He likes it. I am looking at the HSS Ultra Lite for next next piece of hunting gear. I want to check out that Go Muddy also... never seen that one Sent from my DROID X2 using Tapatalk
  4. Awesome! I was going to go out this morning, but I had something come up. I'll be out there monday. Happy eating! Sent from my DROID X2 using Tapatalk

  6. My PF9 groups as tight as my HK USPc if I do my part. I actually like the sights on the PF9, just want to get them a bit brighter. I've decided not to spend a bunch of money on it though. The HK has night sights, but the PF9 gets a lot more carry time. Sent from my DROID X2 using Tapatalk

  9. Thanks, that's something I will try. I have used glow in the dark paints, but I didn't think about epoxy. Actually, I will be doing this to a couple of guns. Good idea Sent from my DROID X2 using Tapatalk
  10. I really like my hard chrome KelTec PF9. It is small, easy to carry, accurate and reliable. The one thing that has always bugged me about it is the cheap front sight and lack of available tritium night sights. I have been emailing KelTec and others trying to find out if anyone makes them. Trijicon referred me to a gunsmith that does. For $300, I could have Tritium night sights on my PF9. KELTEC It's a little involved because it requires dovetailing the slide to accommodate a better (metal) front sight and then installing a new rear sight. I am torn. I only paid about $300 for this gun in the first place. Has anyone had this kind of work done before? I would rather take it to a local gunsmith that does good work. I would also like to pay less. I don't know if I feel good about doubling the cost of the gun for night sights. I know I could pick up a set of aftermarket tritium sights made for another gun (but similar) for about $80, but the dovetailing and custom fitting is what drives the cost up. Part of me thinks that $300 is well worth it for quality sights on a gun that I carry so much, especially in low light conditions. On the other hand, $300 could add to my savings for my next handgun purchase (Springfield 1911 Loaded Champion ). I know I could also do a laser on it but not really what I want. Has anyone been down this road before or have gunsmithing experience with the feasibility of something like this?

  13. I'd like to get a safety harness vest to use with my climber stand (Summit Viper). I don't really need one since I have the regular harness, but the vest looks easy and simple to use. I like easy and simple....
  14. The polls indicate that it is about to rain on his parade.... 2012!
  15. N. Cumberland WMA is an exception and still allows hog killin' (without using dogs) Sent from my DROID X2 using Tapatalk
  16. What's their deal with hats? Maybe so the ceiling mounted cameras get a good view of your face... that's all I can think of????? They would change that rule if I ever have to remove my hat and they get a look at my hat-hair Sent from my DROID X2 using Tapatalk
  17. I carried mine today. Keltec P3AT, but better than nothing. Sent from my DROID X2 using Tapatalk
  18. I thought about trying N. Cumberland as well. Seems like it would be a fun trip for a few days if I can get far enough from the trails (I think they get some pretty heavy ATV use). I also like it that I could camp anywhere. I talked to the TWRA guy last year about it. He said he sees more turkeys than deer, but he has seen some big deer. I didn't ask him about hogs. 19. I also use 240gr JSP (WWB). I have a scoped 7.5" Super Blackhawk and non-scoped 4.5" SBH. I get more range out of the 7.5" of course, but inside of 50yds both guns are highly effective with that round. Sent from my DROID X2 using Tapatalk
  20. I think this is his hail mary pass. He doesn't know what to do, he just thinks he has to look like he's doing something to keep fooling his remaining supporters. He is stuck in campaign mode, and he harming this country. Sent from my DROID X2 using Tapatalk
  21. Nice job! That's a beautiful rifle. I have a sporterized Rock Island Arsenal 1903 that my grandfather passed on to me (sadly, it was modified before I got it). It's a tack-driver, and I hunt with it often. It's my favorite rifle. I would like to get an unmodified 1903 one of these days. I like 'um
  22. Smells like.... Another nursing pic, lol That coyote pee really pulls 'em in, haha
  23. Ruger Super Blackhawk 4-5/8" bbl in 44mag. I don't go to the woods or in the field without it. Handles anything from shotshells to hot 320gn Cor-Bon loads. 100% reliable and easy to carry in the right holster. It went swiming with me once when I misjudged the depth of a big mud puddle on my ATV. Cleaned right up. Great gun and very useful. Sent from my DROID X2 using Tapatalk
  24. I have delt with VOW a few times since they changed ownership a few years ago. They also handled a couple of transfers for me with no issues. I took a gun in once for some smith work, but they showed me how to fix it myself - no charge. The shop is ok. 'spensive but decent selection. Sent from my DROID X2 using Tapatalk
