  1. An oldie, but still makes me laugh....
  2. He stumbled a bit, and a couple of his remarks were a little un-tasteful ("what do you want me to tell Romney? Ican't tell him to do that. I can't tell him to do that to himself."). The whole chair routine cheapened his speach. Dispite it being a little odd, he did have several great lines, though. I don't think it really helped anything, but I don't think it hurt either. He could have been better utilized.
  3. Obama is a radical leftwinger. He has nothing to loose next term, and I expect he will try to governmentalize everything he can. Romney, on the other hand, will spend the next 4 trying to undo obama's damage. Romney knows that this debt is bad, obama is creating this debt and must think it is good. Since Romney would want to remain "electable" in 2016, I don't think he would be too eager to support any gun bans. Obama = Bill Aires/Jerimiah Write/Rhom Emanual/Czar lovin' borderline Socialist. Romney = a businessman that seems to love capitalism in America. Both are far from my ideal president, but I'll take my chances with Romney. Just my thoughts on how the two are different.
  4. Yeah, they missed a good opportunity with Eastwood. While he did have a few good lines, a couple of his comments cheapened his whole speach. The chair skit didn't work so well with him.
  5. Yes, I have taken an honest look lately at what She has become. Our current president is wrecking Her, and that is why he needs to be fired from his job. HE said he wanted to "Fundamentaly change America", and this country is worse now than it was 4 years ago. To answer your question... YES, I will keep Her. I just hope we can change presidents in November.
  6. This is kind of a hunting AND a reloading question: Who hunts or has experience with Barnes TTSX bullets out of a 30-06 for hunting deer and black bear ? I have been reading about this bullet, but there seems to be some mixed reviews. Some claim stellar performance while others say it does not expand as claimed. I want a bullet that will expand reliably but also has good penetration and weight retention. I like pass-through shots with a good blood trail. I also like the higher BC and boat tail design. My rifle has a 24" bbl, and typical shots could be from 30-300yds. I will be loading my own ammo, but I haven't found much load data for this bullet online. How good is the Barnes manual? Deer will be my primary target, but I do plan to chase a bear this year. Is this bullet worth giving a 'shot'? Does anyone have any experience with it on these animals? Bullet weight and powder used for reloading would also be appreciated. Thanks!
  7. Burn it down now? No thanks. I'll keep my America, thank you! I disagree that Romney and Ryan will only delay the inevitable.
  8. +4, I think America can't afford and may not withstand (financially and Constitutionally) an obama second term. Romney was not my first choice as a nominee, but it's time to vote for the direction of this country not a man. While I may not agree with everything Romney has supported in the past, his views of America are vastly different than Obama's. We have a much bigger problem here than normal. America is in a crossroads, and obama will win if a bunch of people go to the polls with blinders on and vote third party.
  9. Nosey People are why I do not (and probably never will have) a Facebook account. I guess some folks just like to air their laundry on the Internet, but I guess that's different because they are offering the info to anyone that wants to read it. I have seen some people get so wrapped up over what so-and-so has on Facebook that it's pathetic. Just to I thought about creating a FB account with just a blank page, and my Status would say "Minding my own business so mind yours."
  10. Peter was armed because he cut off the soldier's ear with a sword when they came for Jesus. I am armed when I am at church. As far as the huggers... I try to keep strong arm down over the weapon and receive the hug with the weak hand, kind of a sideways hug. No need for a full embrace anyway unless it's my wife, lol. In the winter months, I'll carry a HK USP compact 40 in IWB holster or PF9 also IWB. In the summer, I usually carry a SIG P238 or Keltec P3AT in IWB tuckable. Sometimes I'll carry the P3At in a belly band if I need to be super-concealed. Sometimes my shirt is tucked, sometimes not. Not always the best access, but at least I have it on me. Another item that I NEVER leave home without is my Fenix TK15 flashlight. I think a good flashlight is a very important tool, especially in a large, crowded building that could become quite dark and chaotic real fast.
  11. That sums it up for me. The one and only issue is to get the guy out of office that wants to "fundamentaly change the United States of America" Sent from my DROID X2 using Tapatalk 2
  12. It's true for long guns. Handguns have to be transferred to TN FFL. I travel to KY often for other reasons, and I have bought a few long guns there. No fee and cheaper tax.
  13. See, I think that is true if Obama gets a second turn. Most of his presidency has been spent on healthcare. He got that railroaded through. 2012 was too political for gun control or any other attack on the Constitution. If O gets another term, he has nothing to loose. He WILL go after guns. I have no doubts about that. Romney is in no way who I wanted on the ticket, but if he gets elected, it is still his first term. I think he will try to prove himself on the economy, and he will be concerned about re-election (unlike Obama). Guns aside, Obama just makes me nervous in the White House... don't trust his motivations and intentions.
  14. TGO is the bee's knees
  15. "Rare as hen's teeth"
  16. If I misbehaved as a kid, I would hear my grandfather say "I'm gonna point you towards the North Star and dust your Southern Hemisphere!"
  17. "Well, deed in double.... " I hear rhis sometimes, but it still confuses me. "She is such a catbird!" "That's slicker than snot" ..... Classic!
  18. Academy had Winchester and Remington 525 pack for $18. That's probably about on par with Walmart, though.
  19. I'm not saying that the Goverment would turn on it's citizens. I don't think they would declare martial law on a large scale. That just doesn't seem possible to me for the same reasons that many have already stated. What I mean is that if you apply the logic of "Never let a good crisis go to waste (Rham Emanuel of Chicago)", some progressives in office might see an opportunity to "fundamentaly change the United States of America (Obama)" if the crisis presents itself. I know it's tin foil hat stuff. All I am saying is that martial law may not be possible on a national level, but it is possible on a smaller local level in some of the larger cities. Martial law in any of our cities for whatever reason would be a crisis, and there are those in power that seem to use that to their advantage.
  20. I like the Mini but prefer the AR. You can get an AR with a free float forearm that will take stress off the barrel improving group size. You can also get an AR with a heavy barrel that will take longer to heat up (downside... takes longer to cool down). It's also easy to add a better trigger if you desire. For me, building an AR is as fun as shooting it. As for factory assembled, I see decent prices on DPMS and M&P AR's from time to time. Saw DPMS for $609 at Benton Shooter's Supply, but that's too far from you.
  21. If things get a lot worse, I could see martial law in some of the bigger cities initially under the excuse of controlling riots or looting. Martial law on a national level just doesn't seem possible, but ML in some big cities could possibly be used to control the Interstate road systems, limit food/gas supplies, and be used as an attempt to disorganize the masses. I'm not worried about it, but I still don't trust our government not to use it as a tool to chip away at our economy and freedoms.
  22. Good points. Thanks
  23. Looks like it's already been used
