Good thread. I have been kicking around the idea of ankle carry, too. I think I will carry J frame or Keltec on the inside of my weak (left) leg. In selecting a holster, is the calf strap neccessary or an annoyance? Looks like the holster might slide down without it.

True. The shade of blue/red of the House and Senate will have an effect on what O thinks he can get away with. However, there is no telling what he might pull after the 2014 mid-terms.

They have never held mine. I have bought from their inventory and used them for transfers. The process was no different than any other gun shop. Could that pertain only to guns that were pawned by an individual to make sure they were not stolen?

I agree. I think Posey's is missing an opportunity to sell more accessories and ammo. They doubled the size of thier shop just a few months ago, so I keep hoping they will "grow into it". $30 is the cheapest I have found in Cleveland. You could possibly drive to a cheaper transfer, but by the time you buy gas it erases the savings. I have done transfers at Volunteer Ordinance Works and Posey's. Both were pleasent experiences.

I think O would have no problem issuing an executive order on AR type guns. If he wins again, he has nothing to loose. He won't care if his popularity rating is 0% as long as he pushes his agenda.

Romney was just trying to point out Obama's misleading statement. Obama said that he wanted to keep criminals from getting automatic weapons (or something like that). Romney rebuttled with we don't need any new laws because automatic weapons are already illegal to own [by criminals or without a stamp].

That's fine, but you have to face reality that a vote for Gary is not a vote for Romney. The fact is.... either Romney or Obama WILL win. When Obama is being sworn in after a slim-margin win, will you still feel better about your vote? I guess I just don't get it... why even bother to vote if your guy has no chance to win? Prove a point? If so, to whom? I'm not criticising your opinion, I'm just trying to understand how that can possibly make you feel any better than not voting at all. I'm voting for Romney because it will make me feel better about my vote that I actually tried to get Obama out of office. Plus, I think Romney will do a much better job than O.

Very true. The SCOTUS will determine the future of the 2A as well as other constitutional issues, and the president appoints the justices. Obama will most certainly appoint another liberal judge if given the opportunity.

Hmmm, sounds like they just didn't have their ducks in row yet and should have waited before offering class. At the very least it is a poorly run business, at the worst a scam. I would definately ask for the $90 or a legit certificate (no more waiting). It's been 5 years since I did mine, but $90 seems high.

I agree. @Newman, I would demand refund immediately. If not, I would contact the state. They might continue to rip off others.

I've never had one. I hardly ever get the flu anyway (maybe once in the last 7 years). I'm a needle chicken though, so I'd rather take my chances than get stuck with one of those thangs. So, NO... no shot for me. My wife used to get one every year until she realized that she was suffering more than me. She didn't get one last year and was better off.

I got a GoPro Hero2 Outdoor Edition a few weeks ago. I have only used it once, but I was very impressed. I mounted it low on the bow of my boat and hauled down the river. It is very durable, records excellent video, and comes with sturdy mounting hardware. I agree with the above that the sound quality is not spectacular. From my limited experience with it, I highly recommend.
