        Exactly. If this junk passes, you can never claim "ah, I sold it", or "somebody stole it", or "it sank in a boating accident". This proposal would require paperwork anytime the gun leaves your possession. This is a back-door registration. Anytime a new gun is bought or a used one transferred, they would know who has it for the rest of time. Therefore, it would be "registered".     This MUST be defeated! Now is the time to ramp up our efforts not sit back and breathe a sigh of relief. That is what he is counting on. Hussein Obama is not dumb. He knows gun owners feel like they got off easy today. That is probably by design so that the bulk of the letters and phone calls stop. Continue to bug the heck out of those on The Hill and our local reps. Especially the ones on the "other side".

I got notification from three online stores today of stuff being back in stock that I wanted. I'm gonna believe that it will return quickly. Hopefully manufacturers have kicked Into overdrive and supply will catch up with demand. If the bills don't gain any traction, demand will decrease pretty rapidly. Also, I walked into a LGS and bought G19 mags and unique powder. Couldnt believe my eyes. They had a shelf full of ammo, too. Overpriced, but it was there (223 included). It will get better, I think

  My hope with what happened back in Nov is Hussein stretched the sheep's wool over their eyes again. He and Romney didn't appear vastly different to those not paying close attention. Most of us saw the difference, but the sheep? not so much. Now, what Romney would have done is irrelevant. Hussein has showed his true colors, and they ain't Red, White and Blue. He is a full-on anti-2A gun grabber now. No doubt about it. He can't claim to be a 2A supporter anymore. I hope the sheep are being sheered right now so they can see a little better. When the states truly turn on this administration, his days are numbered. I just hope we can minimize the damage. 2014 will be uber critical.   However, I do agree that if he is successful in changing the 2A, there is nothing stopping him from changing the 22A.

     Yeah, that last one is a judgement call. Some judges might see an NRA member as a "gang member". Also, don't tell your doctor you have guns or give him a reason to believe you have a mental issue.     How background checks will change is the biggie today I think. Whether or not he will EO universal background checks is probably the most intrusive thing he will do by EO, IMHO. I personally think he will push (try to push) AWB/mag ban through the legislature.

They bought my mortgage a while back. I have been meaning to refinance with someone else because of their anti-2A attitude. Today, I actively pursue a refi, and I WILL tell them why (multiple times).

  Last I heard a G19 has two 7.5-round mags. They're just combined. :D

  I agree. My list was just a start. There are so many states that could make a stand, and if they coordinate their voice it will be louder.

  I could see Michigan too. I did some work up there, and the people were great. It's like a different place once you're out of Detroit. I spent so much time up there, I even joined www.migunowners.org for a bit :)

And he is doing all this while keeping a campaign promise.... to fundamentally change the USA.     My blood boils with the thought of all the politically uneducated and wellfare-driven voters that handed us this mess.

  If it makes it to the SCOTUS, this will prob be the law's weakness. Forcing people to sell tomorrow what was theirs legally under the 2A today.... seems a stretch to me. We can only hope and pray that the SCOTUS stays legit

Welcome to TN!   Chuck and TDR pretty well covered the process. The hardest thing about it is any standing in line you might have to do. I would also reiterate the suggestion on the mags.... start looking for them now. No ID required to buy mags in TN.

  My thoughts exactly.       I left MD 15 years ago and came here. Although I had my guns, I look back and can't believe what a sheep I was. TN (and TGO) opened my eyes to a lot of things that I didn't even realize was going on in the "People's Republic of MD". Hopefully those that flee the NY oppression will only embrace freedom more than ever.

I'll try to make it up there. Will you have small rifle primers also?

I would like to see some states start to band together. I coalition of sorts. Say, TN, KY, NC, GA, AR, AL, FL, IN, TX, etc.. reach a mutual public agreement that basically says to the Fed Govt "come get some". If a lot of states would join in just publicly reaffirming their local and state-level commitment to the US constitution and pledge ALL of their resources to defend against all enemies foreign and DOMESTIC, we might see more posturing than action coming from DC.

My guess is a bunch of the things will be EO'd tomorrow and the rest will be introduced through Feinnasty's bill. Unless he decides to go for it all under EO. Wouldn't surprise me. NONE of these steps would have made a difference in CT.
