  1. You're welcome. Someone on TGO pointed me those videos back when I was building my first one.
  2. Welcome!
  3. Oh, geez. Another big shooting and the libs in DC will be giddy with excitement. I hope everyone is ok and the downed officer is not seriously injured. I sure hope it's not a big event.
  4. Brownells makes it easy. This and help from some TGO members helped me put together a real shooter on my first build. http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/lid=11004/learn/ I'm looking forward to these lowers!
  5. I think the stuff will continue to fly off the shelves for a while. Those that got caught with their pants down when all this happened will try to prevent that from happening again in the future by continuing to build their pile of ammo. I think it will be easier to find but not really in any great supply. OTOH, i think ARs, AKs, etc and mags will be plentiful again.
  6. I tried watching that, but didn't make it very far. Check out Joe's frowney face in that vid, though. Haha. He actually looks just like this.... :( (actually worse)
  7. No... there's no "E", lol. Please, no.
  8. Then it must have been a good day for America.
  9. They voted with him for cloture few days ago, but I think they voted against today.
  10. That guy needs to fess up and request a (D) next to his name.
  11. We're in huge trouble if they get control again with O in office.
  12. Pop Quiz! “I can assure you one thing - we are going to get this eventually. If we don't get it today we are going to get it eventually,” Biden said A) joe is a bully B joe is a whinny baby C) joe has an un-American, freedom-crushing agenda to push D) all of the above
  13. True, the vote could be rescheduled with the events happening up there. Corker's office said it's still planned for today (for now). I still call these guys daily just to remind them how I feel. I'm sure they don't really care about my input, but I tell them anyway ;)
  14. Corker's office just answered. Aide said he will vote against it. We'll see...
  15. So, the vote is today at 4pm ?
  16. Hmm. Two creepy looking "violent" rapist living within a mile my quiet neighborhood.
  17. Me too, lol. I don't know if I should be embarrassed to admit this, but I think this thread is the first time I have ever laid eyes on Kim kardashian (knowingly). Everyone has been talking about her for years, but I purposely avoid any knowledge about celebrities. I don't know anything about her except that hearing her name on the radio is my que to change the channel. What's jersey shore (besides a coast) ? Lol.
  18. I hope he gets exposed for what he really is. Nothing would be sweater than witnessing an awakening of the sleeping voters.
  19. I have 3 small kids. If their pediatrician ever asks me if I have guns in the house, I don't know if I could resist responding with some smart aleck questions of my own, like: do you have any scalpels or sample pills at your home exposed to your children, doc? Honestly, I would down play the question with a "no", get through the visit, and find a new doctor ASAP. However, I would be steaming at that line of questioning. I take my kids to the doctor for medical advice and treatment. I am the parent, and questions that pry into my legal home are non of any doctor's, lawyer's, politician's, or any other person's business. A friend engaged in conversation is certainly different, but doctor visit... Naw. BTW, I do agree with what one poster said... Asking if a person has guns is vastly different than stating, "if you have guns in the house... Yada, Yada, Yada." I truly respect the knowledge, advice and treatment of the vast majority of doctors I have visited. It's a tough field and requires a lot of skill and knowledge; however, the question about guns just doesn't fit, IMO.
  20. Wow. I hope no one else gets hurt.
  21. Ruger 44 Blackhawk is one of favorites. I was OC'ing one of mine a few days ago. It's one of my favorite handguns to carry into the woods, and it went with me when I was turkey hunting. I only OC'd into a gas station and one other stop before I hit the woods.
  22. I'll take one, please. :no1:
  23. I agree on the coolness factor except to say that a zippo can easily be filled with other flammable liquid in a survival pinch, and it throws an impressive spark even without fluid. I also like having something that can burn freestanding and hands free. Cool lighter you have there, btw. Sorry to hear about your pa
  24. From Corker's website: ========================= WASHINGTON—U.S. Senator Bob Corker, R-Tenn., made the following statement on the Senate proceeding to debate on S. 649. “I don’t understand why any senator wouldn’t want to debate these issues, but in the end, I will not support any legislation that violates our Second Amendment rights.” ========================= I sent him a few emails today explaining that his oath was to DEFEND the constitution and not debate it. Heck, why not debate the 1A, 4A, 5A, 22A by that logic? I also tried to call him and Alexander again today (actually got through yesterday, but I'm calling again). Phones were busy all day long. I wouldn't doubt it anymore if they just took them off the hook. At the very least, I plan to annoy their aides for a while.
  25. Mine does the same thing. I always keep one in my truck and in my BOB. When I realized the fluid was evaporating, I just started  keeping a bottle of fluid in my truck and BOB, lol. Of course I believe in triple redundancy, so I always have a Bic and matches in those location also. Well... quadruple redundancy because I also have the flint-steel.   As you can tell, I don't ever want to be without the ability to make fire
