  1. Reading this made me smile :) Probably the biggest RHINO in the Senate... he needs to be recalled ASAP
  2. Would've been interesting to see some ole boy get out of his truck and sit casually on his hood with an 870 resting comfortably in his lap, though. :)
  3. My wife faced that choice back in 2001. We lived in Northern KY, and she worked in downtown Cincinnatti. She had just got off work on the first day of the riots and turned on a one-way street only to be facing a mob of rioters and LEOs in riot gear. Of course, she reversed direction on the one-way and got South of the river ASAP. I think what choice is made depends entirely on the situation, the terrain, how badly you need to get to what's on the other side of the crowd and what's behind you. I'll attempt to distance myself from the crowd and find another way whenever possible.
  4. Welcome! Oregon is a beautiful state. I go to Portland a couple times a year.
  5. I bought the Winchester safe from TSC about two years ago. I have zero complaints with it. (except it must be shrinking because there's less room in it now than there was ;)). It was heavier than it looked when I installed it. However, once open, the door removes easily and helps with the weight.
  6. Yeah, I've been sick about it too. Prayers for those families...
  7. It should almost come with a gun for that price
  8. HUD.. Heads Up Display. It's a digital display in some jet aircraft that displays the instruments on a piece of glass so the pilot can see them while looking out the front window. I guess some cars might have them now... Dunno. I've always been a dodge fan. I have a old 1500 that's like a tank. I'm going to replace it this year with a newer one though (i need a back seat). I just assumed I would get another 1500, but I'll give Ford and Toyota a closer look.
  9. Awesome. That's good news
  10.   I just replaced the water pump on my 1500 a couple months ago. Replaced at 228k though
  11. Me either. He's fishing for ratings, but if he's willing to flip on the administration then, wow
  12. W O W There may be hope after all....
  13. Chicken pox? ...or bird flu? Sorry, couldn't resist :) I have no idea, but hopefully it is isolated to just those 2
  14. Thanks. As soon as I disassembled the stock and lower tang mine did too. I continued to take the bolt, lever, and carrier apart for cleaning. Reassembled and same thing. I took it apart again and scrutinized the parts. The stupid lever was bent ever so slightly at the trigger guard causing it to contact the lower tang before final lockup. I printed a to-scale pic of the lever and carefully tweaked mine back to the original angle. Good to go! It's even smooother now from the cleaning. It sucked having to do that, but I hope I am rewarded with a good shooter. I stayed up WAY too late though working on this :snore:
  15. Well, it's new to me anyway. I picked up a 1946 Model 94 "flat band" in 30WCF. I bought the gun as a shooter not a collector, and I can't wait to take it to the range :hyper: I have been wanting a pre-64 marked in 30WCF for a long time. I have a concern about the rear locking bolt though. It does not rise flush with the rear of the receiver like my other (post-64) M94 does. The action cycles smooth as butter, and the lever has a positive click when the action closes. However, that locking bolt is about 1/16" from being flush, and the action doesn't close flush on the bottom either. This is my first pre-64, so maybe it's fine. The bore is nice, but the action is dirty... like old oil and grime. I've cleaned the action best I can without taking apart (I really didn't want to have to do that). Should I take it apart and clean it, or is there something else causing this? I'm sure someone has seen this issue before. Here is the rifle.... Here is my concern.... and...
  16. That's pretty much my reason as well. However, as a secondary purpose I try to keep something useful if a hunting season happens to be open. Sure enough, if I go near my land during an open hunting season without the appropriate weapon, that's when I see game, lol.
  17. Well, now that turkey season has ended I will swap back to the Winny 94 and leave the 870 at home. I like having my 30-30 in the truck more than the scatter gun anyway.
  18. Your probably right, but I'm sure it's pronounced 'camel' in TX. Doesn't matter anyway, but I had to listen again when the reporter in the video called him "camel".
  19. Welcome!
  20. The muslim guy is named camel (with a K) ROFL they should have a pig roast right next to the property line every time the wind is right.
  21. Oh boy. I'm glad no one died from this though. I bet the parade was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.. my guess anyway.
  22.   I agree... and/or purchase history from the credit card companies.       However, I think shear numbers are on our side. It would take a huge amount of data processing and several armies to round up all the people that order ammo, etc. online. Not gonna say it couldn't happen, but seems unlikely to me.
