  1. I like them. Looks good
  2. You say she parked up close to carry stuff in... It could be someone that parked in the lot, had to walk a long distance, then saw her car parked up close on the curb. Maybe they got mad cause she parked up close?? Who knows what makes vandalism so appealing to some idiots. Someone threw a rock through my car window one time for no apparent reason. Stuff like this makes me angry. Will the insurance cover a re-paint?
  3. It kind of sounds like they are giving themselves 72hours to accomplish the 10 second phone call. The computer's down, so it's a crisis type of thing...
  4. Crossbow for survival! Lol Back on topic... Larger cal rifle / 22 revolver. I'll have a Winchester 94 in 30WCF and a Ruger Single Six in .22lr. Back to basics with a lever gun and a single-action revolver! If I'm in a survival situation I need a light, compact, reliable, .30 caliber rifle. I want to be able to hunt effectively and defend myself. The Win94 ain't gonna break, and I can't loose any mags. 30-30 ammo is not terrible difficult to carry around either. Having a larger caliber rifle would just give me better peace of mind in a survival situation I think. My Ruger Single Six with a 5.5" barrel is accurate, reliable and effective for hunting small game. It's also a 22mag with the extra cylinder.
  5. So the PC crowd wants to fix "discrimination" by discriminating against Christians... typical liberal lunacy.
  6. Ninja Turtles are fiction?
  7. My wife had the Razr maxx then went to the iphone5. She just got rid of it to go back to the Razr maxx HD. It's hard to beat. I tried to tell her.... :)
  8. I've watched a few episodes of mountain monsters. Skunk ape must be real 'cause they found his nest in that old house, lol. KY Wolfman ain't got nothin' on the OH Grassman. Haha
  9. I don't think it really matters how they got here or if they are legitimate game because now they are here, and they are breeding at an incredibe rate. Now they are spreading naturally. I agree with punishing those that transport and release, but I think the TWRA should encourage widespread hunting. Remove the ability to profit from it, but increase the opportunity to hunt them in addition to other measures. posted from my phone
  10. I cant help posting again because i just have so much respect for this gun. Plus spare parts are everywhere, it packs easily, is very reliable, is easy to cast/reload ammo for it, and everyone thinks it's just a deer rifle. http://www.gunsamerica.com/970881589/Winchester_1894_30_30_MFG_1955.htm
  11. I don't "hide" them from the wife, but sometimes I'll strategically break the news. Timing is everything. Sometimes she'll see it as soon as I get it, other times it may wait a week (or two) :) Cash is the way to go though. I just build up some "gun money" and wait for what I want. I can't stand to keep anything from her though, so I don't. posted from my phone
  12. Same here. Patch down the barrel and wipe out what I can. It's like cleaning a bbq grill... it's good to leave a little "flavor". :) posted from my phone
  13. With the exception of detachable mag, I think your quals describe that Win94 in 30/30. However a detachable mag can be a negative because it can be lost. If I could have only one, my winny94 goes with me.
  14. I wish I could ask all these people that are pitching a hissy fit over this verdict "if Zimmerman should have just let Martin kill him?" I guess they would have to answer "yes". Idiots.
  15. With this glimpse into their mentality and thought process, it's clear why the city is failing.
  16. Yea, probably would complain about whatever color paint you choose
  17. You can't "STAND" your ground anyway when some punk thug in a hoodie is sitting on top of you bashing your brains out. Geez. The more they complain about SyG, the dumber they appear. It wasn't the basis for the acquittal. I'm sorry, but can we buy some of those people a friggin' clue?
  18. Also a Texas hog hunt is fun and affordable but not sure if TX fits into the "vacation" plans.
  19. CO sells elk tags over-the-counter and has lots of public land. WY had last-minute unsold pronghorn tags at a discount last year. Small game would require less prep and gear though... Coyotes or prairie dogs would be fun.
  20. Hmm... I might buy an island. http://www.privateislandsonline.com/regions/united-states/islands?development=&type=&forsale_start=1&forsale_end=8&set=true&Currency=true&search-currency=USD Then, I'll build a sweet underground bunker/man-cave complete with an escape mini-sub :) On the surface I'll have towers to watch the beaches armed with 338LP sniper rifles and turrets. Of course the water surrounding the island will be a mine field (hope I don't forget where they are :)) If its big enough, I'll keep the island managed with a healthy deer and rabbit population. I'll also raise chickens and fish in a small hatchery. I'll also grow food. I'll install a large HAM radio antenna. A boat and small plane on floats will be my transportation to-from the island. The wife, kids and I will enjoy an island paridise under normal circumstances. However if it ever HTF, will have a remote place to bug in. This is not too tropical but would certainly be secluded http://www.privateislandsonline.com/islands/bauer-island
  21. Good idea. I keep some plastic sheeting cut in the shape of a triangle in my survival gear. I figure if I tie it just off the ground with a point of the triangle tilted into a collection container, I can collect dew or rain. It would probably work just as we'll if I'm ever stranded on an island with nothing but saltwater... Boil the water under the plastic, collect the steam. Not much saltwater round here though :)
  22. I live in Cleveland (about 20 mins or so south of Athens on I-75). Nice town, but it is growing fast. Great outdoor gun range. Athens is also a nice little town. 30min to Chattanooga airport and about 1.5 hours to Knoxville airport (both will get you to FL). We've enjoyed the area a lot.
  23. I had an injured skunk in my back yard a few weeks ago. I have close neighbors in the city limits, and I didn't want to fire off a round. I went to get my bow, but I couldn't find him when I got back. I was a little reluctant to shoot a skunk with a bow anyway (will they spray if hit by an arrow? ) From previous experiences with nuisance wild animals around the house, I didn't bother to call anyone.
