  1. I still consider any deer with a bow to be a trophy. It's my favorite type of hunting, but it is challenging for sure. I usually try to put meat in the freezer early on with a bow. After that, I'll start looking for antlers.
  2. I haven't shot my bow in a couple of months. I need to get on it. I did spend some time in my hunting woods today mowing trails and observing. Whew, it was hot. Saw a snake, bunch of spiders, some squirrels, and for some reason a bunch of frogs. It was tiring but fun
  3. Yep, a single-payer system is their ultimate goal
  4. I'm signing it for my liberal friends ;)
  5. I'm sure EO-bama has grand plans for that too :(
  6. The way I understand it, the friends of your friends may be able to view your page even of it's private. I think that's true anyway
  7. There are lots of potential problems with FB, and I just avoid it. Never had an account. I had a friend at my previous employer that had a "stalker" female coworker. Nearly got him in trouble with his marriage for no reason. I also knew someone that got fired... called in sick but FB page showed the pics of him on vacation, lol. There's generally too much drama and not enough time for me, so I just stay clear of it. I'm sure I'll have to get an account as soon as my kids get old enough to spend time on the web so I can see what they're doing. To answer the question, I think an employer should be able to make decisions about an employee based on available resources including FB if they are able to gain access. I don't think an employee should be REQUIRED to give the boss access though.
  8. Thanks. Good to know Academy has them, and I will check the one in Chattanooga. I'd like to try one on soon. So far I've only seen that particular version online. I'll probably be wearing one of those this season.
  9. Chip and Lamar can both be without jobs come next primary season. I'm still voting for Carr
  10. Snakes ARE the boogeyman as far as I'm concerned (spiders too)
  11. Maybe the aide was fired and replaced (???)
  12. Cutting wood is tough work. I want one of these behind the tractor...
  13. I'll be voting for Carr. I also remember being on the phone with Alexander's staffer in DC and telling him that I would be contributing $$$$ to support any primary challenger, Lol. Time to make good on a promise.
  14. Welcome!
  15. I'm kind of leaning towards the HSS Ultra Lite. http://www.cabelas.com/product/HSS-Ultra-Lite-Harness/1206161.uts?Ntk=AllProducts&searchPath=%2Fcatalog%2Fsearch%2F%3FN%3D1000003682%26Ne%3D1000003682%26Ntk%3DAllProducts%26Ntt%3DTree%2Bstand%2Bharness%26Ntx%3Dmode%252Bmatchallpartial%26WTz_l%3DHeader%253BSearch-All%2BProducts%26WTz_st%3DSearchRefinements%26form_state%3DsearchForm%26search%3DTree%2Bstand%2Bharness%26searchTypeByFilter%3DAllProducts%26x%3D0%26y%3D0&Ntt=Tree+stand+harness&WTz_l=Header%3BSearch-All+Products It seems well made with big easy buckles and padded straps straps around the shoulder & waist. I think I might be cooler with that one during the early bow season than I would with HSS's other models. It's also cheaper than the tree spider
  16. Yikes. Thanks for the reminder to watch my step. Hope the dog recovers 100%
  17. I still use the free harness that came with my stand, but I got a HSS for my dad. It's easy to put on and well made. The only downside I see to it is it's hotter than some of the others. I think they make an ultra lite series now that has less material. I also like the Tree Spider http://www.cabelas.com/product/Tree-Spider8482-Speed-Vest/1212926.uts?Ntk=AllProducts&searchPath=%2Fcatalog%2Fsearch.cmd%3Fform_state%3DsearchForm%26N%3D0%26fsch%3Dtrue%26Ntk%3DAllProducts%26Ntt%3DTree%2Bstand%2Bharness%26x%3D0%26y%3D0%26WTz_l%3DHeader%253BSearch-All%2BProducts&Ntt=Tree+stand+harness&WTz_l=Header%3BSearch-All+Products I need to upgrade mine too.
  18. Usually when I drift off a little is about the time I wake to the sound of deer heading my way. Maybe cause I'm sitting really still
  19. So the implication to milslurp collectors... This sounds like it includes just US made guns that would have been reimported by private entities. However they can still be reimported to the US government who in turn distributes to CMP. Foreign made collectables can still be imported? Do I have that correct? As stupid as these EOs are, how bad is this for collectors, really? I know we don't have all the details yet, but I'm just trying to get a grasp on Hussein's latest attact on our freedom.
  20. I've been guilty of a few treestand naps. My Viper is prob not as comfy as the Goliath, but I can still snooze pretty good on a frosty morning (with a harness of course)
  21. I use those same binos too, lol. Love 'em Something else I don't leave the truck without... Fenix TK15 flashlight. 330 lumens of dark piercing illumination. Ok, one more... Zippo lighter. Never know when you might need to make fire.
  22. I can't wait. I didn't get to do much hunting at all last year, so I will need to make up for it this year :) Bowhunting is my favorite method, and it's almost time to let the air out of some deer.
  23. Ha. I was thinking Thermacell when I read the title. Great product. I would also say Hot Hands hand warmers when the weather turns cold (I throw one in each boot also)
  24. Nice buck there now
  25. Need a Thunderware holster
