  1. Good point about the bleach loosing effectiveness. I use it quite a bit, so mine stays pretty fresh. Calcium hypochlorite is a better choice though for storage
  2. So if I have an AR pistol, 2 AR rifles and a bunch of extra stocks and VFGs laying around the house, I'm fine since those parts have a legal purpose for those rifles. However, if I only have the AR pistol in the truck and stop at the LGS to buy Magpul's newest VFG to take home... That's a no/no because there is only an illegal purpose for that without my rifle present in the truck? This has been educational for me. Good to know. I don't have an AR pistol yet but probably soon.
  3. All good advice given above. I also keep several gallons of bleach. It's great for purifying water for drinking and disinfecting anything. Keeping clean and healthy will be VERY important during such an event. I also keep several rolls of duck tape and plastic sheeting. You can seal off a room to help keep toxins out or keep heat in (with proper ventilation of course).
  4. We shot some zombie clown posters at a match recently... freaky looking dudes.
  5. I'm planning a hunting trip with my dad and brother this winter for ducks. We love to hunt 'em but don't have very many here in the East part of the state. We're willing to travel and spend a little money to find a ton of birds. I'm thinking we'll head over to the extreme West part of Tn or might even go over to Arkansas. I know is late for planning something, so it might be tough to find the best place with availability. It will have to be mid December or early January to work with our schedules. I'm curious where I should focus my attention. Does anyone have any experience going over to AR to hunt waterfowl? Any suggestions for a memorable hunt?
  6.    A precision shooter like that would look sharp sporting the TGO logo on a billet. I'm pretty sure that's the direction I'm going as well.
  7. I'm not quite sure how to build mine yet. I'm thinking about what it's role will be. It's too nice for me to hunt with or use as a truck gun. I thought about building it into a kwel 3-gun rifle to show off at the matches, but it could get roughed up there too (plus I already have that covered). It sure would make a sweet looking long range competition gun if I ever get into it. For that, I would probably do the 6.5 Grendel. I don't have an AR pistol either or one chambered in 300 Blackout. Hmm.... 6.5 long-range precision rifle or 300 pistol. Decisions. I'm leaning 6.5G
  8. Yep, I'm sure she's still riding her broom
  9. Heard they were carrying barricades to 1600 Pennsylvania ave, lol. Close him down
  10. I will support Joe Carr in the Primary also, and I'm spreading the word to all my friends.
  11. Yeah, it's getting old having to find and carry a whole tree branch out in front of me everytime I walk in the woods. That works pretty well, but heck if I know how some webs still get through to get me in the face.
  12. I wish he would have gone over there and made them prove their "jurisdiction" on camera
  13. And a useless sign provided a good target on the range, I'm sure ;)
  14. It hasn't affected me yet, but if they'll go ahead and close the IRS already, I can afford more ammo.
  15. Upper left corner.... Looks like there's a grey cat in the tree (face and whiskers)
  16. Creepy mummified Taliban head wearing a turban lower right corner above the word "SEE"
  17. And the White House. Just close the White House for a couple of years and things might fix themselves
  18. I tell ya, it's about time the roles reverse and the .gov feels the squeeze of a fed-up populous.
  19. Quick, ban the pencils! It's all fun and games 'till someone looses an eye
  20. Nice guns! Cool pics!
  21. He's the leader, so I hold him responsible.
  22. That's cool. Brownells has a good video series also http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/lid=11004/learn/
  23.    I'm just jealous that your hounds will enjoy the backyard. I have a 6' fence all around mine, but all my redbone does is howl at the back door wanting in. Once he gets in, he treats it like he's still outside. The wife's not too happy. I can't let him bark non stop because I have neighbors, but he needs to spend more time digging in my yard, lol.
  24. I had too many projects to wrap up around the house today while the weather is still hot. I wanted to be out there, but I would have been sweating in my stand anyway. I'm hoping for some cooler temps next weekend.
  25. Concrete. ;) What kind of dog? I had a Siberian Husky that would dig and chew everything. He chewed all the shrubs in the back, so I planted Barberry and Roses. Didn't matter... He chewed them too, thorns and all. I never did figure out how to get him to stop digging, but Tobasco fixed the chewing. I did notice that all this got worse when our first child was born. I think the root of his issue was jealousy or maybe boredom. Looking back, we didn't spend as much time with him once the baby came along, and I attribute that to his destructive behavior towards the back yard (most of it anyway). The pup we have now digs and chews, but he's still a big puppy. If I could just get him to stop barking so much...
