  1. I signed up too...but for me won't really stop my usage till then. Sorry you don't like it seems like you got a stripped down version. Mine came with night sites, 2 mags and simple a belt loop holster then had a mail-in-certificate for 2 more mags, a loader and case. Shoots flawlessly for me - I got the compact frame size and being a bigger boy it fits my hand well without my pinky falling off. It is a bit bulkier than my G19 and a bit unbalanced top to bottom but otherwise I like it. If you don't like it I would sell it as I am sure someone is looking for one.
  2. I don't typically sell so haven't tried...but from a "buyers" perspective. I have been on this site for several months and just recently figured out the classifieds system. It is not like any other forum I frequent so my experience leads to an expectation from other forums of what I would expect...since I didn't "see" that here I just assumed not many people sold anything here. If my experience is similar to others this could be a big reason why people aren't using it. Progress and new features are great but when you are a trend setter (in forums) and are that different you risk no one figuring it out or taking the time to try. I would suggest we go back to a more standard format for the classifieds...I think you will get more views.
  3. Its a speedy little round but man does it tear up barrels and brass doesn't last long either.
  4. Hit me up in PM if you ever want to offload any.
  5. The 325 Flextips at 1700+ fps were good to about 175 yards...plenty for Indiana deer or pigs. Now being in TN I will probably load different rounds more for fun then hunting purposes...so subsonic will probably be next up (just to see how quiet I can make it)
  6. My opinion...if you reload then there is no reason a 7.5 or 8.5 can't be loaded to run very well (I recommend an adjustable gas block). If you don't reload I don't recommend much shorter than 10.5" factory ammo is tuned to function best in a 16" barrel...so going shorter means more back pressure and more carbon, gas, etc. going back into the action...so it gums up very quickly. At least this is my experience...I have a 16", a 10.5 and a 7.5 and they run flawlessly but then I also reload specific to each of them.
  7. Yeah I moved from Indiana (no rifles for hunting) so 458 was about as big you could go but had to be supersonic if you wanted any range out of it. So I haven't tried much subsonic (need a loading recipe :-)
  8. Agree completely...sometimes you need a scalpel other times a sledgehammer...lol. This is pushing a 325 Flextip at about 1750 fps. With the suppressor it is just about hearing safe and cuts the recoil almost in half. Want some fun try cinder blocks...they just explode when hit.
  9. Per request...here is my 458 Socom - its a double stamp (NFA) 10.5" with a Bowers Versa50 Suppressor. Vortex Viper PST 1-4 x 24 scope. It literally brings home the bacon...and a ton more pork too :-). I have a 16" RR upper too but suppressed it is just too long for fast moving pigs (and any other things needing blown up...lol)
  10. Been in TN for a year now but never really ventured to any of the shows. Not really looking for anything particular (but won't pass up a good deal) just heading to Nashville so wondering if worth the time/cost to go browse? Thx for any insight.
  11. I shopped around awhile and after a lot of research landed on the SJCam SJ500x elite. Its 4K, made in the same factory (and same line) as Go Pro (yeah all these little cameras are made in 1 factory in China). Looks just like the Go Pro just a few tweaks but about 1/3 the price. Amazon has them for $139 (compared to $349 for Go Pro 5) I love mine use it daily as a Car Cam and then on weekends for hunting/shooting/hiking...it more or less goes everywhere. https://www.amazon.com/SJCAM-SJ5000x-IMX078-Sensor-Action/dp/B01AFNACQS/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1485024318&sr=8-3&keywords=sj5000
  12. Same here no panic buying...but in support of Freedom yesterday I bought a 458 SOCOM 10" Upper. Wanted one for awhile as I have a 16" but when suppressed is REALLY long...so dropping 6" should make for a blast of a beast!
  13. Thanks Everyone! I knew you guys would point me in the right direction. Keep the locations and ideas coming...I plan to reach out to several to see what fits the bill best for me. Thanks again.
  14. Thanks Spots! I will send you a PM.
  15. Morning....does anyone know of any knife making classes or forges willing to do some apprenticeship type training? I have always liked knives and see so many amazing creations that I would like to try my hand at it. But before I invest in equipment I would like to get some first hand experience and try it once. A quick Google search didn't turn up anything in the general area. Thanks in advance.
