Just an update. I got my first covid vaccine today. The VA had an outstanding distribution plan. They had vehicles enter on the west bed tower side. Identification was checked at three spots in the parking lot, then you proceed into the new parking structure where you’re told what to expect after the vaccine and given another appointment in 21 days to receive the second dose of vaccine. Inside the parking structure they had several socially distanced lanes to issue the vaccine. After receiving the vaccine they require you to wait 15 minutes before leaving. They place a piece of paper on your windshield with your exit time. You exit the parking structure and pull into a staging area where a gentleman checks your time, removes the paperwork from your windshield and you’re done. The entire process took about 20-25 minutes. So far I’ve only had a little tenderness at the injection location which is to be expected with any vaccine.

The fairgrounds was initially a mess. They had people without appointments jamming up the car line causing people with appointments to be late. There should be a new site opening in Germantown in the next few days. They opened a new place in Whitehaven this week.

I don’t know about all of that. I got the number from a fellow veteran. I called and got an appointment. Then I shared the number here to be helpful. I don’t know anything about being special. The VA gets their own supply. Meanwhile the folks at the fairgrounds say they have lots of open appointments.

For any veterans interested in getting the vaccine the Memphis VA is currently taking appointments. I was able to get an appointment for Monday. Call 901 577-7221 for appointment

I was watching the 1/21/21 edition of Shooting Gallery where Michael visited the Volquartsen factory. I had seen and heard about their guns for years, but never considered purchasing one. The information the show provided was very impressive.. Now I think I may want one of their rim fire rifles. If any of you own a Volquartsen would you mind posting a photo and giving your opinion on the rifle? Thanks!

People I talked to prior to purchasing suppressors told me to forget about them after I mailed in my paperwork. I think that’s solid advice.

I’m going to put my silencer on it and burn though some of my .22 ammo.

Yes it was August 2020. I think it was a super fast turnaround. My second batch was ordered in September 2020. I’m waiting on the Socom .556 mini2 in my next batch.

These are my first suppressors. I had a total of seven suppressors in jail. I purchased these at the end of August and they were approved in December. It took them an additional month to mail the stamps. Hopefully the other four will be here soon. I’m a little giddy right now. SiCo Osprey9, Dead Air Mask .22 and Surefire Socom SPS 300

I haven’t tried their jeans. I’m still a Levi’s guy. Their cold weather gear is the best I’ve ever worn. I’ve regularly had to open vents to cool down.

It’s effective and inexpensive. It’s comes with a laser bullet and a target. You download the app to your phone and you can purchase other targets, one with a timer. I also use it to get my lasers and rds sighted in at about 15 yards.

I had a high school classmate tease me about this exciting information that he had, but he would only share it if I asked to see the content. I had known him to be a smart guy, but his financial talents were always wasted on get rich quick pyramid schemes. I hesitantly requested to see the video. It was a crazed Q video. I watched about half of the video before deleting it. I’ve interacted with some crazies before, but the followers of Q are the most insane in this country. The FBI is doing the country a great service by keeping a close eye on this group.

Good point and this shotgun may give you years of trouble free service, but I still wouldn’t be satisfied knowing it’s not the real deal. I’m flawed like that.

I renewed my NRA membership last week and I just joined TFA and FPC. FPC makes it easy with Apple pay.

1. I’m just anti Trump, not pro Biden. I’m sincere in my belief that Biden/Harris will have too much on their plates to start their administration off toying with gun owners. 2. I don’t believe gun control stops crime. I do believe that talking about gun control puts a lot of money in peoples pockets. When I said we, I meant any person in possession of a gun. You can’t be a mass shooter without a gun. I do believe that anti gun politicians have their constituents on their behinds as much as pro gun politicians catch hell for not being stronger in their stances. So the politicians will perpetually be whipping up their sides. Gun control is bad business for both parties, but business is booming when it comes to both sides scaring people. 3. I really don’t care who is feeding Biden oatmeal. Most of the politicians on both sides are being spoon fed cash by lobbyists, so for the puppet masters and politicians it will be business as usual. I’ll let you in on a secret, some people have other priorities and expectations from their politicians than 2A issues. If you are fortunate enough to be a single issue voter congratulations.
