  1. A bit off topic, but tell me about the Memphis Arfcom crew and training. Sounds like something that I would like to do.
  2. where is the coolest place leave loaded gun in the car ? The safe in MY car. Chicks dig it!
  3. Congrats. You made a good choice. I have found that a lot of these guys freak out over everything. You would think that if you don't live in their neighborhood you are going to be a victim of crime just by opening your eyes in the morning. Live a clean life and watch your six regardless where you are and all will be well. Welcome to Memphis.
  4. 1. Pimps, politians, preachers, d*ckheads on t.v. lying to get ignorant people upset and the people that trust any of them 2. People on gun forums that talk more about politics than guns 3. People that think that there is only one way to do things
  5. You knew you were wrong when you said it. I guess that was your friday night guilty pleasure.
  6. Will Guns and Leather accept trades? Where are they located in Nashville? Thanks.
  7. That makes two of us that don't know.
  8. That's where I saw it and heard it explained.
  9. Sounds like you all have some good gunshops up there. It also appears that they deal with you in a fair manner. We here in Memphis can only wish. I was just looking at similar gun today with the fixed sights that I prefer. Good find!
  10. It's not really new. All the tacticool kids are doing it. My understanding is that it helps with pointing and accurracy. The grip is closer to Brasilnuts picture, but the thumb should be more on the side of the firearm pointing toward your target.
  11. That was funny. I almost broke my jaw laughing.
  12. I was there on tuesday and it's the same setup as the old Brighton Arms. The price is $10 per hour with one free target. Yes, Brighton Arms is the Gun Cabin once again. I am not certain if I will be able to make a meet in the near future, but whoever is planning might want to call them to get a group rate. I have never seen the place crowded so they may be motivated to work with our group. As for lunch before or after the meet there are several fast food joints, a bbq spot and a Olympic steak and pizza about five minutes from the range. Listen to me, one would think that I work for the Brighton tourism industry. If this becomes a regular gig maybe they should cut me a check.
  13. +1 Now, substitute gun with: female, asian, black, hispanic, gay, foreign or in a few dozen years white male and you will start to get some understanding. It's fine not to care what people say about you, but being stereotyped for ANY reason sucks.
  14. Honestly officer... everytime I see blue lights I myself.
  15. I moved the eotech forward a few inches to install the 3x magnifier and did not zero the sight. I was not even on paper the first few rounds. Can you imagine the feeling you get in your stomach when you check your target and don't have a single round in it? It sucks.
  16. Nice. I would like to have seen more shooting.
  17. I think that I fixed the picture. Click on the picture to enlarge. It is a bit dark.
  18. Have you guys thought about Sportsmans Choice (old Brighton Arms) in Brighton? They only have six or eight lanes, but could easily handle a small group. By choosing this location we can also fire our rifles and shotguns. I live near Southwind and it only takes me fifty minutes to drive to Brighton so it should not be a bad drive for most Memphians. Just something to think about if RangeUSA can't come up with enough lanes for a meet.
  19. I don't remember when I got my first permit. I do know that it was long enough ago that the local sheriff was still handing them out and they were yellow like the Sheriffs Dept. identification.
  20. I am no longer active, but I believe that such things will not occur. As far as my weapons...no one will lay a hand on them. Enough about that. The Dems expect to get spanked in November as they should (they are weak). I simply do not expect this event to occur.
  21. Sounds like someone is looking for the boogey man. I am more concerned about keeping my job, paying my kids tuition and earthquakes. In three years I want to see if some of you are still freaking out about the government being the government. The face will change, but the screwing won't stop. But, as I have stated before "You will be more comfortable with the screwing because it will be your MAN doing the screwing". All three sides (Dems, Gop and Tea Party) are stupid hacks with no real plan for the future of this country, but you love your side because they tell you what you want to hear. Good luck to you all.
  22. Well, I got the EOTech on paper today at 25yrds. Saturday was so embarassing. Now to fine tune it. As you can see I had to walk it in from the left a little.
  23. Thanks for the replies gentlemen. I will use the old field expedient until I get by Autozone to purchase some RainX.
  24. Where can I purchase one or two pairs. Whenever I am shooting my shooting glasses always fog up. I need some relief. Thanks for any help.
  25. Links2k

    Why? Just, why?

That's what I was thinking. Scary.
