  1. It looks great!!  Great design and workmanship!!   leroy
  2. As other posters have opined, i think it's interesting that the "history revisionist intellegencia" hates european-american technology and political decisionmaking so much (...the a bomb and it's use...); and overlooks this other little uniquely japanese scientific study and military actions called biological warfare and it's experimental use on captured chinese peoples.  Google "Japanese Army Unit 731" and do a bit of selective reading.  Anyone with a shred of empathy for his fellow man will wonder just as mike did why we didnt drop another bomb for good measure.   Japanese Unit 731 used mainland china as their laboratory and humans as lab subjects.   They (...the japanese army...) were as barbaric and monstrous as Joseph Mengele (...who everybody knows about...).  They were also very much more successful.  The commander of unit 731 is, in fact, the "father of biological warfare".  It is rumored that he traded research results and notes to the allies for amnesty.   It is srongly suspected (...and i believe it is true...) that the US biological weapons program has its genesis from these heinous monsters.    We need to submit this one to the "revisionist history review board" for review and inclusion in their syllabus.  I bet they wont be intested in this little bit of history.  It doesnt fit the narrative of white capitalist oppression against the poor, defenseless yellow man via the demonic, extremely white atomic bomb.   atomic leroy, amateur historian
  3. The "tolerance for all beliefs" police have conditioned everyone to believe that any ideology other than the judeo-christian one is acceptable.  They cant afford to admit that radical islam is a fantastic interpertation of islam that is unacceptable (...and unthinkable...) to a nation such as ours (...or any other one for that matter...).  Here, we have the Bill of Rights   (...Freedom of religion thing....) that mandates that you can believe anything  (...or nothing...) you wantr; and not be punished by the government, as long as you dont go around blowing up and killing others.    Islamic countries do not have such religious protections; islam and government is integrated into a fascist governmental-religious system ALA Iran and the "Arab Spring Egypt".   The fact is that radical islam will not coexist with other belief systems; but the "tolerance police" cant afford to accept that fact.   That's why they can't afford to call jhaidists "terrorists"; much less call their beliefs into question.   I wonder myself what it will take to break this breathtakingly stupid view of the world and cause us to call this evil what it really is.   leroy
  4. This may stir up a hornet's nest; but i think the "defensive ammo" thing is another way to hose the consumer and create a "defensive ammo"  classification that allows the ammo makers (...and other very austitute capitalist types like the Buffalo Bore guys...) to sell what ought to cost $.50 max for $2.00......  A great deal, indeed.   It also gives the Aboobs of the world a job.   This is another proof that america is a great place, and the P. T. Barnum wuz right.    Food for thought.   reloadin leroy
  5.   Very well could be.  Wuz this near the barge slip?   leroy
  6. My guess is it wont pass constitutional muster.  Doctors are not judges.  They may try this one; but  my guess is that when they get a "fortunate son" with some dollars; this one will be struck down too.  In the old days a judge had to review this sort of thing to get ya committed.   leroy
  7. My guess is that the officer walked up on a dope meet (...or somethin equally dangerous and highly illegal...) with a real bad guy.  Boat to boat most likely.  If it's a bunch of professionals, they will never sort it out or catch the guy.   leroy
  8. Elections have consequences.  If the "children" in the socialist utopia of MA and Boston like the high handed, jack-booted thing; i say; let 'em keep on likin it..  I could care less what they do up in the "Sour Lands" and you can bet they dont care what is goin on down here where we delightful rustics reside.   Dont worry about them; let em reap the harvest up there; and work hard down here to keep it from happening in your neighborhood. As the great Tip Oneil (...a real MA yankee...) used to say:  "...all politics is local...".   non-caring leroy
  9. Interestin stuff indeed.  Aint it interestin that these guys got visas to the good ole usa???...  Check this link out:http://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/ap-sources-boston-bomb-suspects-from-russia-region-near-chechnya-lived-in-us-at-least-1-year/2013/04/19/761ede36-a8dd-11e2-9e1c-bb0fb0c2edd9_story.html   leroy
  10. Typical elitist tantrum.  Us delightful rustics just dont understand just how smart these folks like Giffords, Obama, McCain, and Bloomberg are.  We should just bow down, pay them homage, and do what they say. I remember Gabby's dad saying that we tea party type gun nuts were responsible for that anyway.  I can give the old man's frustration and sadness because he is a grieving father.   I wont give any of the others a thing.  I say they have reaped the whirlwind in public opinion and they will feel the heat from it.    Lots of people can be fooled about monetary policy shennanigans, health insurance scams, and crony capitalism with the big bankers.  The most humble of us an read and understand the text of the Second Amendment.   People are a lot more informed than they were in 1968 when the gun control act was passed.  I count that a good thing.  I could care less what Giffords or any of that other bunch thinks about anything.   leroy
  11. A bigger (...but very similar...) ammonium nitrate explosion happened at the port of Texas City, TX.  There must be something about water and burning ammonium nitrate in large quantities that touches off the explosions.  Check this link here for the Texas City report: http://www.nfpa.org/assets/files/pdf/texascity.pdf   Ammonium nitrate is powerful stuff.  Our prayers go out to the affected families.   leroy
  12. Got one of those myself.  It's a great tool.  I picked up mine to sharpen a couple of pretty good machetes that came to the house "so so" sharp.  Mine came from Northern Tool.   A few passes thru this little jewel, and they are pretty much shaving sharp.  They will cut thru the woody stuff with ease.  I havent tried mine on any household type knives, but im sure it will do a great job sharpening most anything.  Thanks for posting the review.   leroy
  13. Here is an interesting post from Atlas Shrugged:  http://atlasshrugs2000.typepad.com/atlas_shrugs/2013/04/saudi-national-in-boston-bombing-being-deported-on-national-security-grounds.html   I think everyone who is remotely interested in the direction of this country has taken in recent times should carefully read and think about what could be going on here.    By the way; i found the original link here :http://moonbattery.com/?p=28910     leroy
  14. Smokeless powder is a flamable solid.  Black powder is "low expolsive" (...i think...) or a "permissable" (...from the old coal mining days...).  Black powder is already "regulated" as an explosive.   leroy
  15. Suprise!!!!....  Interesting article on the new U S District Attorney: http://www.knoxnews.com/news/2010/oct/31/us-attorney-william-c-killian-promises-fairness/ ....   He just happens to be a democrat appointed by the obama administration.  Interesting to think about aint it??   wonderin leroy
  16. I have no doubt that this is a "political message" to the Haslams from the Obama administration.  It's my belief that this is completely partisan.  Remember, the gubmt doesnt have to prove there is any wrongdoing here.  They just have to "suspect" there is some.     If the "investigation" goes no where, all the gubmt needs to say is "sorry for your trouble". Their company is stuck with the expense of defending themselves legally, the disruption to business, and the "stigma" be being under investigation. Additionally, if the law hasnt changed, the company will be barred from bidding and delivering on any gubmt contracts while the investigation is ongoing.    This will turn out, i believe, as others have--- "a dry hole" for gubmt.   Remember, that aint the idea.... The idea is to make those investigated and those looking on afraid.  After all, that's "the Chicago way".     I cant wait to see where this one goes and who it touches next.   leroy
  17. Elections have consequences... Some of them are illegal.   leroy
  18. McElroy and the KNS are surrogates of Gannett.  They hate guns, the Second Amendment, and think you and i are too rustic and hotheated to own or operate a weapon like a gun.  They also must hate elections and debate because they always give one side of every issue and scold you if you happen to take the other.    As Garfua has said; the "comments" section is the "real entertainment" if you are in the right frame of mind.  The most important thing the KNS puts out is the cartoon and want ads sections of the paper.    The real use of the KNS and most other big city and "chain" papers is propoganda and lining of bird cages.   leroy
  19. To add to what others have said; ya need a single stage for load development (...small batches...).  Progressives (...we have a dillon 650...) are used to crank out pistol loads once youve found a load ya like.   Ya can change toolheads easily to change calibers.  "Good" rifle loads are loaded on our single stage (...RCBS Rockchucker...).   Hope this helps.   leroy
  20. As others have already posted, take a look around and handle lots of o/u's.  See which one points and feels the best. Most any o/u will outlast the shooter, even if he shoots a lot.  Most all the higher end makers [...Browning, Beretta, Winchester (...101, 96...), Remington (...3200...), SKB (...japenese...), and all the european hi grade makers...] are great shotguns.  Spend whatever your budget will allow.  Havin said all that; i think the citori is hard to beat for the money, if it fits ya.   leroy
  21. HEHEHE... --- Looks to me like there are about 10 or 12 of em.  Great crowd.....   Remember, Leland Price is a Democrat with political aspirations.  I would expect him and the three or four other potential inner city "personalities" need the lock step following of the welfare single mother and democrat machine (...such as it is...) to be elected.  It's political pandering.  Remember, Price and others in the DA's office are so acutely tuned to the pulse of things that they couldnt see a known felon repeatedly visiting judge Bumgartner nor detect drug use in the judiciary.   The good news is that some of us geezers are watchin and wont forget his opinions and positions.   Watchin leroy
  22. Keep them cards, e-mails, and letters commin into Alexander's and Corker's mailboxes.   leroy
  23. Folks, while i agree in principal with most of what has been said here about alexander and corker; the "real" vote in the senate is the one that will come up on this issue; not the one allow "cloture" or debate.  The vote on the final bill has not been taken yet.  The "cloture" vote was a "quid pro quo" vote to buy or pay back a favor (...in my estimation...).  It also makes these two look "reasonable" and "statesmenlike" to many (...not all...) of us.  I agree that we should keep up the pressure to vote against this thing on principal.    Alexander and Corker would do well to heed the admonitions of those who counsel against any "enhancements" to background checks.   I'm old enough to remember a guy by the name of Albert Gore Sr who was thrown out of office after 30 or so years for voting for the Gun Control Act of 1968.   Keep up the pressure.   leroy
  24. David:________   I like this bruthah:   The hell with Paypal.  Dont give 'em money. They dont like us gun owners anyway, why should we support them.   I like the TGO icon and the TGOxxx Serial number!!.   Keep up the good work!   leroy
  25. I like the 121 fixed blade.  Got one myself.    Enjoy!   leroy
