Former police chief Mark Kessler is a self-agrandizing jackass that has watched too much TV; and has a "Messiah Complex"... He obviously believes his trolling for "sovereign citizens" is an honorable thing, and can't contain his glee in doing so... he had to go public with the news of how great and self-sacrificing he is... I'm kinda like the old man about the "sovereign citizens" and the "lone wolves"....They are like the mythical "unicorn"; ..."ive heard about 'em, but ive never seen one"...; and i doubt that Kessler has either... Mark Kessler symbolizes all that is wrong with government and a small body of people out there (...mostly in government...) who see a subversive behind every bush and view the citizenry of this country as a rabble to be watched and controlled... Mark Kessler and people like him are far more like Joseph Stalin than George Washington... The hell with Mark Kessler and people like him... disgusted leroy

All... I closely watched the "spokespersons" interviewed by the media in this foolish protest... The names and look were distinctly muslum... Take the time to take a look at this: http://theconservativetreehouse.com/2014/11/18/muslims-co-opting-ferguson-protests-to-advance-goals-of-islamists-and-terror-groups/ leroy 0

Now Obama is going to let you pay for Body Cams for Cops

All... I've been waitin for the other shoe to drop on this thing.... Here it is via Breitbart: http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2014/12/01/Obama-Unfair-Policing-Violates-My-Belief-In-What-America-Can-Be Here is to proposed solution: http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2014/12/01/Holder-Says-Robust-Anti-Racial-Profiling-Guidelines-Imminent-We-Must-Seize-This-Unique-Opportunity-Ferguson-Presents As ugly has wisely opined above; all this is based on a false premise... That premise; .... all whiteys (...especially the police, black or white...) are endemically racist and are persecuting the black man; who is presumably, always blameless... This is, indeed, a false narrative and basically looks like the South African model used by Mandella et al to take over South Africa under the guise of ending apartheid... The problem in the USA is that blacks make up about 13% of the population; where in South Africa, blacks made up 95% or so... Obama and company are shooting for rules that will neuter the police under the guise of stopping racial profiling despite the fact that the real "elephant in the room" is that black contributions to the overall crime rate far outstrip their relative percentages of the population here in the good ole USA... Folks, this ain't about cameras on police; it's about neutering the police... It's about two sets of laws; one for the poor put upon black and another for racist whitey... It's an outrageous assault of the rule of law; nothin more... It will be interesting to see how far this rubbish gets.... The big question is will the legal establishment (...the state and federal courts...) will put up with this outrageous attempt to further tribealize the citizenty and to destroy the bedrock proposition that "...all are equal before the law..." outlined in the Fourteenth Amendment... And Amendment that was originally passed; ironically, to protect the recently freed slaves; all of whom were black.... A Constitutional Law professor should know that this, most likely, aint goin anywhere... Only a hippie era leftist jhadist would take a hopeful shot at doin this sort of thing... My take is that it's red meat for the "children of lower estate".... leroy -
luv... The first "polymer" pistol i ever fired wuz an HK USP... I couldn't believe that a non-metallic framed pistol could shoot and handle as well as the HK... I would love to have one in any flavor; big or little... They are a great firearm... Enjoy... leroy

Ron... My guess (...and it is a guess...)... RE: "The pistol didn't go off..."... Wilson and Brown were struggling... The back and forth tugging and pushing for the weapon pushed the SIG out of battery and it wouldn't fire... The only real bane of the semiauto pistol... Nothin wrong; only the barrel and slide pushed out of battery.... leroy

All... While not quite on target with the details of Michael Brown's poor decisions and subsequent demise; i found a very interesting article on Breitbart this morning that gives a very interesting view into the thoughts and musings of ivy league academia and the media re the "black justice problem"... I recommend you read it carefully... http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2014/11/27/Cornell-West-The-End-of-the-Age-of-Obama Here is the "money quote": Folks need to think about the implications of this statement (...which i believe is patently not true....), and the fact that it is widely believed in some quarters of this country... No matter the media spin and the baloney; or discussion over past sins public and hidden; Michael Brown decided to whip a cop as a follow-up to strong arming a store clerk over a bunch of cigars... That's thuggish behavior by anybody's yardstick of behavior; and I figure that aint the first time he used his strength and size as tools for intimidation It turns out that was a bad decision... Serious trouble ensued... Michael Brown should have not made that life changing decision... I can have some sympathy with his parents, who i believe turned a blind eye to bad behavior; but I've got no sympathy for Brown... I'm also sorry that Darren Wilson had to do what he had to do as well... Michael Brown reaped the whirlwind.... let it be... leroy

Businesses make or sell a product at a price point the consumer will buy at...Those buyers make a decision to buy or not buy based on price and quality... More than that, the seller aint the only game in town; there are other sellers selling a comparable product at a comparable price point... Horders/re-sellers are taking advantage of an unfortunate event (...shortage of a product...) and are exploiting the willing to the detriment of the purchaser... There's a big difference in these two concepts... We can quibble about the difference in selling to people who either think they are in a bind or are actually in one, and taking advantage of their real or imagined situation ALA the "....break your leg, high risk loan shark or used car sale business..." or even the Mayo ...Clinic "...we sell the only cancer medicine ya can use here if we treat ya..." thing; but at the end of the day and in the quiet of the nite; you know what is ethical because ya have a conscience... There is a big difference between the willing buyer and willing seller idea; and the "under duress" buyer who needs (...or thinks he needs something...) and the bandit who picks his pocket... Is it legal..? yeah it is.... Is it ethical..? nah, i dont think so; your mileage may vary... leroy

Remember the hillside proverb.... "...The sun don't shine on the same hound's a** all the time..."... Kinda looks ta me like the sun is movin around a bit... I'm glad to see it... As to the "horder/re-sellers"; the hell with them...I will never get the idea that says ya ought to hoard a commodity that your brother may need or want with the idea of holding him up; and calling it "free enterprise" and "capitalism in action"... The truth is that it is ethically bankrupt; right up there with ambulance chasin... Alternately; if ya got caught up in the "buying frenzy" because ya thought that there wuz gonna be no more 22; that's a valuable lesson as well... We've seen the cyclic demand for ammo and components for years; don't be too quick to be stampeded into buying too much stuff for too high a price... Havin said all that; greg; im with you... HEHEHEHE... Remember the old hillside proverb... What goes round comes round... leroy

Mike... In the olden days before the "reloading police" when shooters took responsibility for reloading we used the following two recipes for 223 and 53 to 55 grain slugs: 26.5 grains for Ball C(2) and anybodie's 53 to 55 grain match bullet... 25.5 grains of H335 and anybodie's 53 to 55 grain match bullet... As i remember, the cases were pretty much level full with these powder charges... We always used military brass because it wuz easy to find... Ball C(2) and H335 used to be the "go to" powders for the 223... They were easy to find, easy to load (...spherical...) and exhibited great accuracy... Hope this helps... leroy

Most likely the sizing die is a bit tight (...a good thing...) and the bullet is on the upper side of the size range... I the loaded round will chamber (...as others have wisely opined...); the round will be good... Our 357 sig and some 45 acp rounds look like that lots of time... leroy

I think 1911's is 1911's; especially now after the CNC revolution... Pick out the one you like and shoot it... It will most likely shoot better than you can hold it (...unless ya are a champion bull's eye guy...)... Have fun... leroy

On an overall basis, i think the electorate came to it's senses, saw these people for what they really are, and voted accordingly to stop them... They realized that the only way to reign the federal government in was to get rid of a democrat majority; which they did, by historic margins... At the state level, people pretty much voted republican because they like republican policies... Places like Pennsylvania voted democrat because of the "gimmme crowd" around Philly, voter fraud, and remnants of the union vote... Places like Colorado voted democrat because of the hippy influx and general stupidity... I think that the gun control thing is pretty much laid to rest because of the recent Supreme Court rulings... The real remaining fight(s) in the gun control area is at the state level (...i think...) where the state sets the rules for the "wearing of arms"...We as pro 2A folks that believe in the plain reading of the Constitution need to be watchful and vote accordingly... Some pundit (...Ted Cruz, i think...) summed the mid term up pretty much up in one sentence... The republicans didn't win because they are popular and great; they won because the electorate was tired of the democrat's governance... I think he is exactly right... This election was a rebellion against soft authoritarianism at the federal level and a general dislike for those at the top; gun control just happens to be in the mix with these authoritarian sons and daughters of satan ... The problem for all would be "president's for life" and their buddies is that in the good ole USA; there will always be another election (...so far...)... Time will tell if there is one in 2016... The current bunch of democrat idiots in power have murdered their own party by peeing down everybodies leg and expecting them to like it just because a democrat autocrat said so... This country doesn't work that way (... yet...)... The democrats mistook the USA for a third world country where the citizens have no notion of liberty, freedom, or the rule of law... The calculation was a pretty good one for the "gimmme crowd" who are on the government dole; it's a bad one when everyone else wakes up... Folks finally woke up and did something about it... Thank God... That's the real story here... leroy

I would opine that if you use factory ammo, it won't be a problem... We are readers and I'm pretty picky about reloading semiauto reloads... We fully resize all brass, we use essentially factory duplication loads or a bit hotter with proven reloads... We use factory barrels; so i use jacketed bullets... I always seat the bullet then taper crimp the case a couple of thousands... We've had no problems with 40 or 357 sig using this approach... Hope this eases the worry a bit... leroy

The 7.3's are hard to beat... They are basically a de-rated International Harvester (...now Navistar...) industrial engine... They are big and heavy where it counts... Diesels need a heavy duty lower end (...crank, rods, pistons...)... Good luck... (...i like the excursions too...)... leroy
