All... I've rounded up a Glock 21 recently, along with a Glock 20... I'm thinkin about "improving" the triggers on them (...shortening the travel and reset...) with some sort of aftermarket trigger setup... Have any of you done this...? Which one do you like... Thanks a bunch... leroy

If you are driving a car, you are in possession of a deadly weapon, regardless of whether you have a firearm or not... A car will kill most anyone... I aint too worried about some jackass standing on his hind legs and me in a car... Now that i've got a bit older, I dont worry about jackass flippin me a bird or sayin bad things to me... I drive sensibly, and don't respond to jackasses who want to show me either how ignorant or tough they are... If they try to stop me or hem me in, that's another whole problem... Follow me home... Very dangerous... turtleman leroy, the careful driver...

Gr8.... It's time to appoint you the curator and resident authority on the great model 27 smith.. You have the greatest collection of em ive ever seen anywhere brother... They are my favorite "N" frame smith... They were built with more attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship than any of the other smiths; and that's a pretty tall accomplishment... They are all beautiful... Thanks for takin the time to post photos of these beautiful pieces of history and genuine proven "birth certificate revocation tools"... With great awe and admiration, leroy

I fear Randall's prediction is very true... leroy

I understand this one... The "attraction" to the glock 42 is, for me, at least; the fact that it is a bit bigger... It's easier for me to grip comfortably than our little sig 238... I like the "easy shootin" thing too... Especially for those of us who's hands are gettin a bit weaker (...mine are...)... It's like shootin a 22 ... The little pistola slips right down in the front pocket of my dungarees, khakis, or cargo shorts... It's slim, but the grip frame is about right for my larger hands... If ya are younger and have strong hands, the bigger pistolas make more sense... Age changes lots of things... I used to tote a lightweight commander 45ACP... leroy

This is a good deal... The brass is probably worth 8 cents, the bullet 10 cents, the primer 1.5... Ya get the picture... leroy

Muscle makes a great point... These guys (...and gals...) are great fabricators of all manner of nylon gear... They are my favorites... I've got one of their belts i like a lot (...plus lots of other stuff like tote bags, tool bags...etc... etc...)... More than that; they are entertaining as a bunch can get... Profane, monstrous, and over the top... Nothin not ta like about these folks... I like 'em... I do lots of business with them... And finally; as Muscle said, they are brother (...and sister...) Tennesseans... leroy

All... I been shootin handguns all my life, and im a pretty old geezer... There ain't many i ain't shot or handled... I've carried everything from 1911's; revolvers (...smiths: small, medium, and large... ruger: blackhawks to vaquero sheriffs...); glocks:....(. little bitty, baby to big..); Sigs:.(... little bitty to bitty...)... Ya get the picture... Since ive gotten older and more crippled up, i tote a smith j frame airweight, a 938 sig, or a itty bitty glock in my pocket, and a great big pistol in the car.... Don't be fooled by the marketing hype; there aint no new "magic calibers" nor "mo better" pistols... The good news is that most all handguns work well... Better now than they did in the "good ole days"; mostly due to the advances in CNC machining and bullet design; especially for the semiautos.. I like 'em all, even the damnable "tupperware" pistolas... Bottom line... Pick the one you like and take the time to shoot it alot... Nothin teaches you ta shoot like shootin... aged leroy the gimp... 69 yrs old and still here...

Thanks GJ... I appreciate it... leroy

Dennis... Noticed this is one of your replies... Tell me about the Ghost connector... I just picked up a lightly used, lovingly cared for Glock 42, and wuz thinkin about somethin to lighten up the trigger a bit.... Thanks a bunch... leroy

Kahr.... Ya make a valid point... The idea is shootin cheap ammo thru this great gizmo at the pistol range; and savin the "real stuff" for the "...i gotta hit it hard..." situations... 40 brass is so cheap ya dont need ta bother to pick it up... Ten mm... Pretty expensive... el cheapo leroy...

Dear brother and sister TGO'ers... Am thinkin about investing in a Lonewolf (..or other...) Glock 20 conversion barrel in 40SW... Anyone usin them...? Do ya like 'em...? What are the other conversion barrel vendors ya like...? Thanks in advance... leroy

Got a buddy that had an all steel 45ACP... I liked it; he liked it... I'm convinced i would like the LW as well... Used to carry a lightweight Colt Commander EDC... Congrats on your new pistola... leroy

Gun control measures fail to clear Senate hurdle
leroy replied to The Legion's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
It's political theatre by the gun grabbers to feed some red meat to their low information constituency... They well know that, given the current atmosphere, no one is gonna vote for more gun control... Everybody is armed to the teeth and edgy... No one is gonna tolerate limiting the ownership of firearms; except the usual inner city single moms who cant bring their selves to believe their darling little boys (...and some girls...) have grown into monsters who rape, shoot, pillage, and kill in the "hood"... This ain't about limiting arms to terrorists; it's about ginnin up the base... leroy -
We got 'em both... I wouldn't turn around for the difference between a 238, a 938, a j frame snubby 38, or an SP 101... Don't be fooled... Short barrels are short barrels, no matter what flavor they are... As others have wisely said; ballistic performance is calmed down in short barreled weapons of any flavor... If you can shoot; any of these choices will work... All that bein said; I like the "shootability", for lack of a better term; with the 238... Much easier to follow up with than the 938... If ya wear baggy britches; carry a j frame or an sp101... If ya wear dress clothes, shorts, jeans, or a tight skirt... Carry the 238 or the 938... If you want absolute firepower; carry a high capacity shotgun... That's how i see things from the bunker this mornin... leroy

Remember.... This is what the great philosopher Aristotle had ta say about this sort of thing: "...It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it..."... I will say, however, that there are a few folks out there that ain't necessarily puttin forth thoughts... Some of it is propaganda, some incendiary rhetoric (...which i tend to like and grade accordingly...)..., and some is just stupidity... Thankfully, there ain't that much of it here... We may disagree from time to time, but, by and large, it is a semi-sensible disagreement... gradin leroy... An admirer of rhetoric and debate...

Hello Brothers and Sisters... My name is leroy and im an addict... I'm addicted to old slip joint pocket knives... Usually pretty big ones from Queen, Case, Boker or, here lately, Great Eastern Cutlery... I simply can't leave 'em alone... I'll backslide every now and then and carry a spyderco, kershaw, or ZT of some flavor; but i always go back to the old timey slipjoints.... Especially hawkbills and whittlers... There is a Great Eastern hawkbill (...they call 'em pruners... we never did...), and a Seahorse Case in my pocket right now... Both with red jigged bone handles... "hawkbill" leroy, the slipjoint junkie....
