  3. Yaah...!! Yaah...! what great tools...! i love these things... Glad there are some Teutonic Believers out there keepin the tradition alive... Bring out the Imperial Flag and the Beer Steins; we'll sing the old songs and re-tell the old tales... Prost...!!! teutonic adminrin leroy....
  4. This one baffles me too... leroy....
  5. The truth of the matter is this.... Some decisions are life-altering (...and in some cases life-taking...) actions... I've got zero sympathy for the "...they are just kids thing...." and the "...no amount of punishment is appropriate thing..."... The fact is that these two people have caused the loss of life, stupendous property damage, and misery on a gargantuan scale to folks they don't know and who have done nothing to them... Not many people can say they have accomplished such idiotic, and monstrous mayhem; no matter the age or occupation (...or lack of one...) in a whole lifetime of screwing things up and doin evil... That puts them in a very elite and despisable class... A class that i simply do not think you can tolerate out in the general population... These two are miscreants at best and monsters at worst... Those who believe that this is "...kids being kids..." are either intellectually challenged or intellectually dishonest as far as i'm concerned... Actions do have consequences, and this is about the worst action i've seen in a good while... I (...and i suspect others...) have friends and kinfolk, rich and poor, that have lost everything as a result of this monstrous action... This conflagration has touched thousands, if not tens of thousands of people... It is on the same scale as an act of war; no matter the original intention.... America seems to be the only place in the world where we have a pretty large subclass of otherwise intelligent people who dote on our young folks and do them the genuine disservice of lying to them by failing to tell our children that "actions have consequences"... I say that if you believe in "teenage irresponsibility"; you are part of the problem... It also baffles me that there seems to be a "cottage industry" of "experts" who would tell us that "kids will be kids", and seek to explain away and/or minimize this sort of monstrous behavior.... Kids should continually be told that all actions have consequences; from childhood thru adulthood... I don't wanna hear about "kids being kids" and "they didn't mean to do it"... This is not some idiotic video game that you can re-set; nor some goofy "alternate reality" where it don't matter... People have actually died as the result of these actions and property has been destroyed on a god like scale... This one aint gonna go away... If you want kids to be responsible, you have to continually teach them to act responsible; while being responsible yourself... Sometimes the punishment is not sufficient for the crime; and i suspect that is the case here... None the less, serious punishment needs to be passed out for this; right up to and including trial for capital murder... I say, let justice take it's course and keep the "they were just kids" things out of it... Thus endeth the rant... leroy....
  6. Considering what has happened in Gatlinburg and the surrounding territories, and the lost of life and property; these folks are in "big trouble"; no matter the ages... This one will be interestin to watch... I could easily let my mind wander a bit and come to the conclusion that someone might have paid these guys to do this... There are several agencies investigating this; among them, the feds... I could see these guys and whoever they might roll over on (...if there is anyone to roll over on...) being tried in both the state and federal courts.... Folks could also begin to believe that this could be an act of "domestic terrorism"... Check this out... http://wildfiretoday.com/2016/12/05/analyzing-the-fire-that-burned-into-gatlinburg/ watchin leroy....
  7. Greg.... I'm thrilled that ya have found this great old piece of history and that it appears to be the "real thing"... There were lots of colts that were put together by scavanging parts... It's good ta know that a few of them survived in tact... It's also great to know that a brother "true believer" is the keeper of this great old tool of destruction... admirin leroy
  8. What Chuck said here is the genuine truth of the matter about "...the state regulating the wearing of arms with an eye toward keeping the peace..."... I think it is hilarious that the "anti second amendment" crowd convienently overlooks this as they lead the "children" around with their demigoguery... Black folks should be the stauchest supporters of "Constitutional Carry" and the "Right to Keep and Bear Arms" everywhere... Sadly, lots of 'em are not.... wonderin leroy
  9. Take a look at an old Colt book... I think the S/N on the frame is the biggest thing... Try to date it and look to see if the barrel and cylinder "look like they belong"... As i remember, there aint any S/N related stuff on them... Look at the barrel roll marks and see if they look "period correct"... i would also give our buddies at Cherrys Fine Guns a call... They can give ya some real tips on this stuff... Here's hopin... admirin leroy...

  12. Just picked one of these up... http://kershawguy.com/products-page/launch-6/kershaw-7800blk-auto-launch-6/ Ive got a Protek and a couple of Benchmade Adamas autos... They run hot and cold with me... The Protek blade is basically a dagger, and the Adamas is great big... I'm hopin this Kershaw Launch 6 is like "Baby Bear's Porridge"... Just right.... I pretty well like a slim, long blade; and this one has it... leroy
  13. I well remember it... Reagan's actions after this bombing were the only foreign policy move i thought was foolish... We should have finished this when it happened... If we had, you wouldn't see these endless "middle east wars" and islamo-terrorists... The withdrawal simply emboldened our enemies...No one wins when you walk away from an atrocity like this one, except the arms merchants.... food for thought... sad leroy, rememberin....
  14. Contrats on the new scope rugerla.... Can't wait ta hear the report on it... I think this vortex stuff is good stuff... leroy
  15. I'm a Dillon cheer leader myself... I'll join the chorus of "congratulations"... They are the best of the best... The second powder measure thing is a good idea.... Now to get my 650 changed over from 44mag to 44 special.... leroy

  18. Dear Brothers n Sisters... I've been thinkin about another 22 lr revolver or small semiauto pistol... We have a pile of bigger ones (...Dan wesson, ruger single 6, ruger mk2...); and i would like to have a smaller revolver or pistol... The little ruger lcr's come to mind as well as the usual host of small semiautos... This would be a revolver to stick in your front or hip pocket.... Let me know what y'all like and give me a bit of information as to reliability, handling, ergonomics, yada,ydada... Ya get the picture... Thanks in advance.... 22 lr leroy...
  19. Joe.... We are all so sorry to hear of your loss... Prayers sent... With great sadness for your loss... leroy
  20. Glad ta hear it brother... It takes gumption to act on your "deeply held" beliefs... Good luck to ya...! By the way... RE: "... The 37 Caterpillar rebuild"... I love these things... Send us some photos and let us know whats happenin from time to time... Good luck... admirin leroy....
  21. This is good stuff... Reason, logic, appeals to good sense, nor citation of "norms for civilization" seem to be workin here for some of our "free thinkin" and libertarian brothers... That makes me a bit sad; i wuz hopin for better... This ain't about debate or discussion of what ought to be legal, how much freedom ya ought to have as an individual, or any of these other things... It's about bein the smartest guy in the room, and being free to be completely free... It is, in essence, being your own being... Some call it being "god" with a small "g"... It's all about you as the individual who is instantaneously right... When you are "god", you are automatically the smartest being in the universe... You that have these tendencies might need ta think about that a bit... Ya might also need to know that some of us dont see ya that way... We see ya as just another mule out here plowin in the field with the rest of us... I gotta tell ya who keep beatin this point to death; goin around is a big circle is called a "circular arguement"; it aint very "godlike"...... It's easy to spot and a poor way to win a debate on pure points... You that keep sayin the same thing over and over aint lookin too smart to my way of thinkin; but that's just me... Here is the truth of the matter.... If you interact in society, there are gonna be some restraints on your personal behaviors and preferences that you do not like... We can quibble about changing these restraints, laws, and rules; but there will be, inevitably, some that the individual does not agree with... Such seems to be the case here... "Society" (...whoever that is...) sets rules and laws... Cross 'em... Get dinged, or, in this case; get killed... More than that, no one is gonna come to you and ask your opinion of whether those involved in any action meets your approval... The brutal truth is, sometimes you get over ruled... That's a problem with the "god" thing... Who could imagine "god" being overruled? If ya don't like the rules, and don't like not bein asked to adjudicate every action; i would suggest movin up on the hill and bein a recluse... That way, ya can set your own rules (..to a point...) and adjudicate any actions that happen up there if ya have the horsepower to enforce those adjudications... If you are a real "freedom jhadist", go out in the bush in africa or south america and start your own place and make your own rules... The only caveat i have with this one is that ya better be pretty damned tough... There might be some aboriginal folks out there who are pretty tough and have their own ideas about rules... Have fun in your new place and send us some notes from nirvanna from time to time to let us plebians know how it's goin... leroy
  22. Happy retirement brother... Enjoy...!! leroy
  23. Bud... Thanks for straightening this ole coot up... i'm a bit smarter now... Now i know about "Brandishing" vs "branishing"... RE: This.... It doesn't matter (...for him now, anyway...) whether he was doing things to "...scare or maintain possession..."... The police decided he was a threat.... The fact of the matter is that this is, indeed, a tragic mistake; no matter who made it... Nobody will be the same after this... The police reported seein a gun and dope... At the time, their opinion was the only one that mattered... His failure to comply with police commands resulted in his assumption of room temperature... Everybody involved lost on this one; except maybe the citizenry of Charlotte... leroy
  24. 56... The defininition of holding up a gun and showing it to someone to scare them off is "branishing"... leroy
  25. 56.... Have ya had a stroke brother...? This "model citizen" branished a pistol at a bunch of people he didn't know brother... Whadda ya think the police are gonna do when they are the ones he branished the pistol at...? You, me, nor anyone else aint gonna get a pass on this one... Hell, Wyatt Erp couldn't get a pass on this... Puzzled leroy...
