  6. Thanks DO-TN... I wuz hopin for this kind of info n experience. I like the " light recoil " thing with these guys. The older i get, the more i like " less recoil ". I really like the overall AK design idea... Thanks again Brother... Ivan leroy AKovitch...

  8. I understand that everyone is not from Knoxville and Knox County, so i'll try to provide a bit of background. The movers n shakers in Knoxville and the surrounding area have a long history of not giving a damn about anyone but themselves... There have been 3 notable race episodes in Knoxville, two of which ended badly for the black citizenry, the third wuz the Christian-Newsome murders that armed every whitey in Knoxville and the surrounding areas. Back to the first two episodes. The first was in 1919 or 1920. The national guard was deployed with brutal effect. The second was the sixties era " Freedom Rider " incidents which i witnessed as a young man. The KPD came down on peaceful demonstrators like a ton of bricks. They did, in fact, demonstrate police brutality. The perpetrators of the freedom thing were run thru the courts and kicked around pretty well... A serious message was sent. As to the black community in general; the modus operandi " up to now has been to isolate it, leave it alone, and to contain it, with a good dose of " stay in your neighborhood and we'll leave ya alone -- let it spill out, and we'll do bad things to ya ". That was then, this is now... I think the over arching theme is the same... The rhetoric is a bit softer now. That said; I think the minute the "we been wronged- we gonna burn " elements of the black community threaten the moneyed class or the merchant class in knoxburg, there will be hell to pay. opinin leroy, the amateur historian...
  9. Have been introduced to the AK 47 platform by my son... Please school me on the 74. leroy.
  10. Ive read carefully what all ya'll have opined on this video... I agree with lots of what has been said... That said, there are several take aways for me: 1. There were " leading questions "... That said, simply listen to the answers... All of those interviewed were ok with violence and looting if they don't get the outcome they prefer... Carried to its logical end, if we dont like the outcome, both the innocent and the guilty will pay... Translation: " The only justice is justice we approve of "... That is not justice at all. 2. These people seem to be living in a parallel universe in which the only opinion that counts and the only " justice " is " their justice "... You should be deeply troubled by this worldview. There is no room for discussion with this worldview. 3. You have nothing in common with these people. There is no common ground nor shared values. That should trouble all of us greatly. This is not a " No Nevermind ". It is tribalism carried to its logical end. If you aint in the tribe, you are the enemy... SIGH.. 4. The implications of this thinking are the very opposite of " let's all get along " and the shared values outlined in the Constitution and The Bill of Rights. They are the exact opposite : ... " My way or we will burn n shoot you too "... Let us all hope this is contained to the usual places. leroy...
  11. I urge you to take the time to watch this UTUBE video from Praeger University... It is simply horrifying where we are in parts of this nation today... Listen carefully to what is being said and who is saying it... SIGH... sad leroy....
  12. Crump and the BLM crowd may well find out that Knox County aint Florida nor Minnesota... The UT area and the well heeled hipster condo class may be, but that's a pretty small population. Everybody in Knox County aint a hipster or a bunch of " Children of Lower Estate " that can be led around. watchin leroy...
  13. The son totes a 21 in an OWB kydex holster right behind his hip. He is skinny n covers it with a an untucked shirt. leroy...
  14. I'm beginning to believe there are " code words ", " trigger words ", and " Manchurian Candidates " among us... These shootings are beginning to not look like coincidences to me. I'm beginning to think that this has little to do with " mental health failures " and alot to do with some real bad actors in some very important places causing things to happen that coincide with politically motivated pushes within gubmt.... That is all... sad and wonderin leroy...
  15. This is genuine tragedy... That said, it baffles me that anyone could believe that toting a gun to school and tussling with policemen could lead to anything other than a bad end; or that bystanders n interested parties could third base this tragic outcome by blaming the actions of those sworn to protect others. It is simply beyond my ability to empathize with anyone who could envision such fantastic ending. These people are simply living in an alternate universe... A bunch of lives have been affected for the worse and the community as a whole has been damaged as the result of this senseless episode. No one, no matter their creed, color, or belief system should assume they could survive such a confrontation given the current atmosphere. This part of Knoxville is " Tombstone ", and everyone involved knows it. Welcome to hell... Sigh... sad leroy...
  16. East Knoxville has pretty much been " Little Chicago " for about the last year or so. There is evidently gang war goin on that has its epicenter at Austin-East. These kids have been killin each other n takin potshots at everybody else for several months. The real tragedy is that the neighbors, the PoPo and the current " city mother " and " PoPo Czarinia " seem to be powerless and relatively unconcerned about it. SIGH. watchin leroy.
  17. What Mista Greg said... leroy...

  22. Glock 40 MOS if ya can find one. A 10mm of the striker fired flavor n polymer grip frame is hard ta beat if ya need or want one. I only have two Glock 20's...HEHEHE... That said: Ya need ta be a reloader or interested in starting. Lots easier on the ole purse. Good luck... 10 mm leroy.
  23. Thanks Ken..! Ive been hopin for a report on these guys... leroy...
  24. To go down this rabbit hole a bit. I agree on the 1911 carry thing. Used ta tote one myself. If ya got the $ s, get a threepersons holster on a good belt. That will do a lot to solve the weight problem. The " budget " solution is hip pocket carry in your carhartts or orher dungaree type pants or your trusty overalls. It works like a charm. leroy...
  25. Thanks Jamie..! I appreciate it greatly... They are DG bullets. Got em commin now. They are a green coated color with a flat nose as i remember. leroy...
