All:______________ Check this little bit of news out: Obama Now Selling Judgeships for Health Care Votes? | The Weekly Standard I'm reminded of Homer Stokes' great line from the movie "Oh Brother Where Art Thou": ...we cant stand fo mo years of Pappy O'Daniel; fo mo years of rascalism, chronyism, nepotism, and service to the enemy...". Obama will make the radical republican crooks of the post civil war era of Reconstruction look like "minor leaguers" by the time his term is over. Remember, there is an election in November. Food for thought Leroy

Thanks. We'll check it out the next time we go down. Kind regards, Leroy

aj:____________ Here is some stuff from Brownells: KG PRODUCTS : SITE KOTE - World's Largest Supplier of Firearm Accessories, Gun Parts and Gunsmithing Tools BRIGHT SIGHTS : BRIGHTSIGHTS GUN SIGHT COATING - World's Largest Supplier of Firearm Accessories, Gun Parts and Gunsmithing Tools Have used the "ghost glow" on front rifle type sight (on shotgun). We also used to use fingernail polish back in the old days. You might want to try that. It's cheap and you can take it off easily. I have also used the Testor's hobby paints that you find next to the plastic models of airplanes, etc. Easy to take off too. I have one revolver with flat white on the front sight. Works really well. Hope this helps. Kind regards, Leroy

There is great truth in this post. I heartily agree. Check this out: http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/tennessee-politics-legislation/35469-wamp-vs-haslam-5.html#post465952 We could use some "fresh" non-polititians. Ramsey may be the man. Keep up the good work. Kind regards, Leroy

McWerter is trying to ride his dad's coattails into office. Ned McWherter was a pretty reasonable "Blue Dog" Democrat governor who served two terms (1986-1995). As i remember, he was a gun owner and hunter. He made lots of money in the trucking business. Here is the real reason McWerter won: I believe he is still alive. Check out the bio here: Ned McWherter - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Sounds like the boy is a chump educated by the socialist idiots that seem to be in power in the presently constituted Demorat Party. Let's hope he takes a real whipping everywhere. Hope this helps. pig:___________ I would try 7.0 grains of unique. The old time working load for a 44 special is 7.5 of unique with a 240 to 250 grain bullet. The 7.0 grain load is just a ratio to that (250/265). Having said that; i would only shoot these reloads in a full size revolver. We use the 7.5 grain load with 250 grain SWC's in n frame smiths, ruger sa, and colt saa all the time. I'ts pretty heavy; about 900 fps. If you want it lighter, go down to 6.5 grains of Unique. Check out this website for some interesting data: Dedicated to Elmer Keith Hope this helps. Ok, Legal question about vicous dogs
leroy replied to Wyldk2's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Wyld:___________ Had one of these problems years ago when i was a young man (..a long time ago; over 40 years...didnt care what people thought, sick and tired of being "sick and tired", ect. ...). Shot a dog after talking to a life-long neighbor about keeping it up. Started a feud what went on for years. Moral of this story: This aint a dog protection thing its a "neighbor thing"; especially if you live in a rural or small town area. My advice: Talk to your neighbor and talk to him straight. Dont abuse him; simply tell him you are concerned about the dogs being dangerous to you and others. Ask him to make sure the kennel keeps them in. You always have the right to defend yourself on your own property. That being said; where i come from, shooting a dog is right up there with shooting a person (...and i aint an animal rights advocate...). I noticed from your avatar you are from Fayetville. My guess is that people there hold dogs in high regard. It could be high enough to cause a serious reprisal for killing a dog that doesnt include the law. I aint trying to scare ya; im asking you to think deeply about what could happen. Food for thought Kind regards, Leroy -
Years ago there was a process for Federal non-violent felon gun rights reinstatement. I suspect there are problems (..as others have posted...) for the State of Tennessee reinstatement. Leroy

First set of reloads won't keep slide open
leroy replied to analog_kidd's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
Analog:________ For what it's worth; always check the bullet weight and velocity published for factory loads and use that data to pick a handload out of your loading manual. That being said; dont necessarily use Cor Bon or Double Tap (...high velocity stuff...) as the source for velocity data. Use the Remington, Winchester, Federal, etc. (...you get the picture...); as they are the "normal" velocity range for the caliber you are loading. Consult several reloading sources (...I like lyman, speer, and hornady... also, factory reload data from Hogdon, Alliant, etc..). Semiauto pistols have to have the "right" combination of impulse energy to operate the slide. That "right" combination is usually a pretty quick powder - factory bullet weight combination that matches are exceeds the factory velocity. They are finicky when it comes to handloading. You can play around with revolver loads a bit; but the auto handloads have to be pretty close to the factory data. Hope this heips Kind regards, Leroy -
Eric:_____________ Take the 238 over to Predator Custom Shop on Papermill, Drive. Website here: Predator Custom Shop They are good guys and know about pistols as well as AR's. They are open 10:00 am thru 6:00 pm tuesday thru saturday (..i think...). That little ding on the feed ramp looks to me like it can be fixed pretty easily. They can tell you quickly. My guess is that the cost (..if there is one..) of the fix is minimal. Hope this helps. Kind regards, Leroy

Amen brother!! Well said. There is "hostility toward Democrats" because more people are waking up and noticing the self-destructive, arrogant, overbearing idiocy in the currently constituted Demorat party. Memphis Demorat politics wont play well in the rest of Tennessee (...unless it is the middle of downtown Nashville, Chattanooga, or Knoxville...). It aint even playing very well in the usual places. A kinder assessment is given here: Tennessee Republican Party | I say: Good riddance. The hell with the Demorats. The "real" danger to this country at this point in time. Food for thought. Leroy

Sharp:___________ For casual carry: Cold weather: Front pocket of jacket or hip pocket for overalls or dungarees. Warm weather: Hip pocket of dungarees or overalls. Sunday go to meeting: Front pocket or flap hip pocket depending on khakis. I use good pleated khakis or cargo pocket khakis like those from Cabelas. Hip pocket draw and jacket pocket draw is quick. Use an Allan Miller Kydex pocket holster. XreedX makes a good point here. I heartily agree. I use a wilderness tactical belt all the time. Hope this helps Kind regards, Leroy

I think is is the the first wave of the coming revolt. Check this link out: http://www.rocketworld.org/iwg.php. http://www.rocketworld.org/gallery.php?id=7 My personal favorite: "Dirty Alfonso" On a more sober note; looks to me like you ought to leave a creature alone who has the word "Killer" in his name. This will be a true conundrum and ethical dilemma for the "Animal Friendly" crowd. That being said, it's a shame this happended. Food for thought, Leroy

Take a look at a glock 33 in a kydex hip pocket holster from Allen Miller. Link here: Welcome to Aholster. Check this link out for a review right here on TGO: http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/firearm-accessories/18651-photos-my-new-aholster-pocket-s-w-j-frame.html#post244152 I carry one all the time. Summer: Carried in the hip pocket of my dungarees. Winter: Same as summer or front pocket of an overall jacket. Works like a charm. Hope this helps. Kind regards, Leroy
