I suspect that what you have opined is exactly what has happened. I wouldn’t beat up the NRA too much on this. The organization is, in fact, called the National Rifle Association; not the National Bill of Rights Organization. I can assure you that fear of the NRA stifles lots of other attacks on the Bill of Rights. We, the people, are responsible to protect all rights when we vote. Without the ‘right to bear arms†you are a serf; subject to the whim and will of the government. I second Titan and TNHawk's advice. Start on a single stage, get the idea and some valuable experience. Then get a "production" type press. I have a Dillon 650xl and an old single stage RCBS. I have found that the production presses have lots of potential problems and gizmos that take your attention away from the real, important job of reloading good ammo and keeping yourself safe. Jeff:___________ Saw this thread late. I have never seen a "bad" Remington 700. The great Remington 40X target gun is just a "slicked up" model 700. Every one i have had were great shooters. Dear Anders:_______ Check out this copy of the Citori owners manual from the Browning website: http://media.browning.com/pdf/om/citoriplusmanual.pdf It basically says that Citoris have automatic ejectors that pitch the shells out. He may have a weak (...or broken...) spring somewhere. By the way, i thought they were adjustable -- either lifting the shells like your friends gun; or pitching them out like the manual says. You will be suprised at the number if you take care of the brass. What generally happens is that the case mouths start to crack and split. I have used pistol brass that has been reloaded 7 or 8 times. I always keep them segregated and watch the case mouths for cracks and splits. I toss the batch when 3 or 4 cases show up with splits. I noticed that while the dimensions are good; the weight is a bit high (... about 29 OZ empty....). Please let me know your thoughts on these little jewels; especially with regard to CCW. It looks to me like they would have to be carried in a GOOD belt holster of some kind. Range reports and carry methods would be greatly appreciated. Looks to me like the Iranian Revolutionary Guard volunteers may turn into martyrs. I've yet to understand what has happened to the Turks in regard to this situation. They can obtain nothing but grief with sparring with the Israelis. My guess is that the Israelis will give this whole bunch a spanking. Mike and all:________________ A 243 AR10 is a great thing. Less recoil than a 308; and probably better accuracy (...assuming the right barrel...). In the "good ole days" the 243 was considered a very accurate cartridge. Many folks then (...and now...) like the 6mm (... .243 dia bullet...); especially the varmit and benchrest guys. The only downside i can see is the relatively heavy AR10 setup vs the AR15. Its great to see the goodies keep rolling out!Kind regards, Leroy

Merril:_________ Used to load lots of 300 win mag on a single stage press. My advice is to spend the money and buy you a headspace / case length case gage for the 7mm. Midway or Dillon will have them. The problem with all the belted magnums is that they DO NOT headspace on the belt. The belt may help; but the real headspace is the case shoulder (...like most all other bottleneck cartridges...). We always had the problem of bumping the shoulder back too far on resizing and that leads to case stretch after 2 or three reloads. This ruins the cases pretty quickly and can lead to case ruptures just forward of the case head (...a dangerous thing...). When you resize the cases; make sure that you see that the shoulder is bumped back just enough keep the headspace in specification for the round. If you have only one rifle; you can get by with just neck sizing the brass for reloading just like the bench rest and long range shooters do. If you have more than one rifle; this won’t work out too well. You have to resize them back to factory dimensions. What I’ve just talked about here is the biggest source of problems that we ever had with the belted mag cartridges. We have both 300 win mag and 375 H & H. With regards to powders, as others have said, the best powders are the slow burners. We always used IMR 4350 and weighed and trickled every charge. We always started with the accuracy load listed in the old Lyman manual. Accuracy was always great. Hope this helps. Kind regards, Leroy

Thanks for posting the article Suntzu. I believe that this is another case of the Israelis sending a message. They established a blockade at Gaza. A blockade is, by definition, an exclusion and inspection zone. Gaza has been a continuing trouble spot for the Israelis. As the great character Homer Stokes so eloquently said in the great movie "Oh Brother": ..."We intend to pull up evil by the roots..." That is exactly what I think the Is Israelis did in Gaza and they don’t intend to have any more bad seed land or build any infrastructure to give them trouble. Having said that, you may have a quibble with the methods employed; but you have got to admire the thinking used. It is bold and exceedingly brave. The Hebrews know exactly what they are up against. When it comes right down to it; they don’t care about "world opinion". They had enough "world opinion" ... (...which is always against them anyway...) during the run up to run up to WW2. The average Jew in Israel is not too religious (...with some notable exceptions...). He (...or she---they both serve in the IDF...) is, however, very aware that the world has been against them since the destruction of the Temple in 70 AD by the Romans. The Romans got tired of the pesky Jews giving them trouble. They marched from one end of Israel to the other, destroying and killing as they went, and simply got rid of the Jews. They RENAMED the country PALESTINE (...interesting aint it...). The PALESTINIANS in PALESTINE are squatters who resettled the area after the Romans cleared it out for them. By the way, the "poor Palestinians" displaced by the returning Jews in "Palestine" would have been made full citizens of the only democracy in the Middle East (...unlike the American Indian here in the USA...) if they has simply accepted the Jewish offer of citizenship. Their land wasn’t stolen; it was bought from rich ARAB absentee land owners in large tracts. They didn’t accept the offer for a couple of reasons. The first is that they were intimidated into not accepting it by hardliners and thug Palestinian political operatives who threatened to kill them (...and did in many cases...) if they did. The second is that they were encouraged to resist by their no count Arab brothers in the countries surrounding Israel for political reasons. I always like to watch the middle east, Israel in particular. It is the barometer of the times. Leroy

Lester and all:________________ I am a great fan of the Israelis because they fully understand what they are up against and are (...for the most part...) more than willing to defend themselves. When discussing Israeli politics and national will; two events stand out to me. The first was passed on to me by a dear old friend and old sunday school teacher. He was eighteen years old when Israel declared its independence in 1948. He said that the great David Ben Gurion (...the first prime minister (...or president..) of Israel--can’t remember which...) said during the radio address announcing the State of Israel: "...now WE have the guns; we will never give them up!!...". This is a sobering warning that still rings out to all the Arab countries who thought they could push those pesky Jews into the Mediterranean. They are still there (...and I believe...) always will be. The second great memory was after the 1972 murder of the Israeli Olympic athletes. The great Golda Meier, then Prime Minister of Israel, took the decision to kill every last one of the perpetrators of that massacre, no matter how long or what it took. That is exactly what the Israelis did. A third notable action was the destruction of the Iraqi nuclear facility in the early eighties. It sent a grim message to all who would try the Hebrews. Those in Iran who believe that the Israelis can be pushed around are deluded. My guess is (...like many other posters...) that the Iranians are being sent a grim warning --- they better listen. By the way, there is no doubt that the Israelis possess nuclear weapons, and it has a Tennessee connection. There are those who have told the fable for years that the plutonium and enriched uranium for these weapons was smuggled out of the old Nuclear Fuel Services plant in Erwin, TN with the tacit approval of Uncle Sam. Interesting fable, aint it? We could learn lots of stuff about dealing with our enemies from our Hebrew brothers. I say: God Bless 'EM!! They are a great people. Leroy
