  1. Lester:________________ I really like this great observation. I believe you've hit the nail on the head here: Keep up the good work brother!! Leroy
  2. Folks:_______________ I urge each of you to take the time to read this. I know it's hard to say "congressional" and "ethics" in the same sentence and they modify eachother; but this is worth reading. All this baloney symbolizes what is wrong on both sides of the aisle. The upside is that the more publicity these chumps get; the more folks will learn about them. I predict this one will be great. My guess is that Rangel is guilty as sin and no amount of whitewash will cover this one up. It will demonstrate that Rangle (...and many other longtimers...) are nothing more than carpetbagging trash that have been pillaging the govt and pedding influence for over forty years (...in Rangle's case, anyway...). More great stuff from the Demorat House of Representatives. I may be wrong; but i seem to remember the great House Speaker Pelosi saying: "...this congress will be the most ethical in history... . I cant wait to see how this one plays out. Read and enjoy: Link here: Dana Milbank - Charlie Rangel and the farce known as congressional ethics Leroy
  3. This is great!! Sadly, the little varmits are exactly right. Everyone should take the time to watch this carefully. Thanks for posting it! Leroy
  4. Graycrait:____________ Thanks for the explanation and the great pictures of the baby glock. I believe that your improvement of thinning the grip area around the trigger guard to let the trigger finger more naturally reach toward the trigger is the greatest custom improvement ive seen in any glock. Thanks again for the excellent explanation and pictures. Leroy
  5. Titan:___________ +1 on Tim's observation. I've got a full size old model colt series 70 that does the same thing. If it ejects ok; the dents dont matter. Tou can straighten them out when you run the brass thru a resizer. Hope this helps. Leroy
  6. I'll concede that the big smiths (...steel...) are heavy (...about 40 to 46 oz...). That's the basic problem with them. If you carry them in a OWB holster or shoulder rig, they are heavy; and you need a coat to cover them them, so as not to alarm the population in todays "ninnified" society. The "magic material" smiths (...and tauruses...) are about 21 to 24 ounces (...the smith 325 pd weighs 21.5 oz unloaded...). That is awful light for a "real caliber" gun in any caliber. All that being said; it is laughable to pronounce a 41, 44, or 45 for that matter an "ineffective caliber'. They simply are not. If the short barrel 41 thru 45's are "ineffective". That means the great 45 acp is "ineffective" too. That simply isnt so. A revolver is a dead reliable peice of machinery and those that choose to carry them are well armed if they take the time to learn how to shoot them double action (...the only real way to shoot a combat type revolver in my opinion...). Shot double action, the revolver is just as fast as any semiauto. My advice in this little matter; if you intend to shoot heavy loads; use a steel frame smith or taurus with the "light' magnum loads at about 1100 fps. They will probably come out at about 950 fps or so. No one will want to catch one. For the "lightweights" i would recommend the old time handloads at about 900 fps. They will want to come out at about 800 or so fps. Nobody will want to catch them either. The plains indains were killed off with revolvers shooting the old 45 colt at about the same velocity. Big bullets work very well. Revolvers have just fell out of favor because of alleged low round capacity. A revolver is the equal of anything out there for the first six shots; but they are slow to reload. This "shortcomming" is much over pronounced in todays rarified "tacticool" atmosphere. By the way, i carried a 4 inch 629 in a maxpedition man purse for several years. We've burned thousands of rounds thru the 41 thru 44 calibers (...both special and mag...) thru n farme smiths; along with it's brother the 45 colt thru ruger sa's over the years. They work real good with hard cast semiwadcutter bullets, and are deadly accurate. Food for thought. Leroy
  7. Ebow:______________ Find ya a 3 (...or 4 ....) inch smith (...either 44 or 41 mag...) and start reloading. They are both great. We've burnt a lot of powder thru the 44 special, 44 mag, and 41 mag. They are all equally effective. They all pack a heavy punch and are very accurate. Leroy
  8. TT:_____________ Study your reloading manual; especially the reloading description section. Jacketed for semiauto; cast for revolver. Hard to beat Unique. Regards and welcome to reloading!! Leroy
  9. Graycrait:____________ I like the idea of "easing (...thinning...) the grip" in the area of the trigger. How did ya decide how much to cut and did ya cut a templet to match the other side after ya did the material removal? By the way, i like the overall idea on the stippling. Great job! Regards, Leroy
  10. Dave:________ I'd say the chances are about 50/50 if they have no core values; and about 90/10 if they are polititians at heart. I would be the last to ascribe any great amount of morality, high mindedness, or honesty to either party. Character, in fact, does matter; and we'll soon see who (...if any ...) of those recently elected (...and those who managed to stay...) have any. I can always tell when they are lying for the most part; it generally happens when their lips move. I also think the same thing about the big three media and large newspapers. They all have an agenda and there is a clear double standard. That's why the blogger is making fun of them. I say watch 'em all and throw out those who dont do what they say they are going to do (...along with a few weak ones who do mind; it sends the right message...). Keep up the good work. Leroy

Me too!! It is a great idea. Thanks for posting it!! Leroy
  12. Right here is why it's important: These people know better than to take bribes. They are "public servants"; they are polititians; they are lawyers and "students of the law", with conspicuous public service "credentials". Thats why party affiliation is important. I seem to remember a fella by then name of "Scooter" Libby who was a noted republican. The news media saw to it that "Libby", "Republican", and "criminal charges" were always mentioned. Remember this: Former Cheney aide faces prison in CIA leak scandal | Mail Online. Remember the demorat warnings (...which bush took, by the way...): That's why party affiliation is important. It is precisely why Warner Rodd Huston is making fun of the media's failure to include that little tidbit. You simply cannot separate the words "public servant", "polititian" and "party affiliation"; they are core descriptors with "public service". Could it be that "party affiliation" is only important when the potential lawbreaker is a Republican? Leroy
  13. Check this blog post out from Right Wing News: Link here: Right Wing News News story from Drudge here: P.G. County Executive Jack Johnson, wife arrested in FBI sting - Washington Times It seems that this former Prosecuter has turned into a genuine polititian (...it appears that he has succumbed to taking money for favors --- i think they call it bribery and "influence peddling". ...) Oh well, more area DC government in action: This is great stuff! Leroy
  14. Excellent analysis ---- You have hit the nail square on the head!!. This is exactly why he cant win and the demorats will throw him under the bus. Great job!! Keep up the good work. Leroy
  15. Olds and all:___________ I have little doubt that the great Nobama is in trouble with all the Demorat politicos. The first rule of politics is that you have to get elected. Nobama has cooked the collective gooses of all his Demorat trash brothers (...and sisters, ugly as they are...) except in the usual commie, socialist, ultrablue states on electability. Remember, a republican is sitting in Tede Kennedy's old senate seat in Mass. -- i can barely remember the last republican senator -- Henry Cabot Lodge -- think about it. I cant see him (...nobama...) even being the demorat nominee for president in 2012. I believe that bill and hillary will come against him. I cant wait for the namecalling and fireworks to start. It will be great!! Remember, it's always a great day for America and freedom when their enemies are eating eachother!! It's already starting in the news rags. Keep up the good work. Leroy
  16. I like it!! Been thinkin about one myself. Enjoy!! Leroy
  17. Lester:_______________ Thank you for the excellent analysis! Keep up the good work! Leroy

  25. All:____________ I am posting without comment an "Open Letter to Governor Elect Bill Haslam" from that noted socialist rag the Knoxville News sentinel. Link here: Pam Strickland: An open letter to Gov.-elect Bill Haslam » Knoxville News Sentinel Note the language that Ms Strickland uses. Know your enemy. Leroy
